Initially, this debate started during set-up when Physician Dresden and Physician Knight noticed the ICU O-negative blood locker did not have enough blood to go on the IVs in the GTR. PHM held one, but left the shift shortly after its beginning, and Adzi E6 held two. PHM had left the blood bag in the Paramedic's Quarters, and Adzi E6 was initially giving the other people in Medical a difficult time with its retrieval, before finally getting it. It was misplaced after this, and I'm not sure where it turned up. After imploring Adzi E6 to take the Saline Plus bag and return the O-negatives for Physician use, they declined and claimed their protocol states that a blood bag was more effective than Saline Plus, which is not true (see notes). Then Mania Haller was called into Medical to discuss this. Once again, the opinion of three PhD, MD medical doctors, and one Pharmacist was that Adzi should be using the Saline Plus and let the GTR have the blood bags. I even compromised and said to at least give one back so all the IVs in the GTR could be filled. Mania Haller told all of us to 'stop whining', said 'Who cares?', then ended with, 'Stop bothering everyone about it' before leaving the medical bay before anyone could get another word in. Then Captain Ricky Oberst was called in to discuss this. His opinion was largely the same, ignoring the professional opinions of the Physicians, both of whom have done significant responder work in their lives, Liam Knight specifically having a reputation before getting his Doctorate as being the most knowledgeable and best Paramedic on the Horizon. Captain Oberst issued all of us a 'verbal warning for negligence for wasting his time reporting a trivial matter'. Immediately after this, Greimorians had severely injured Warden Vadim Kullak. Adzi E6 responded to the scene and administered at least one and a half full O-negative bags before the immune response was caught by the Physicians and Surgeons. Vadim Kullak is type SBS and had a severe and nearly life-threatening transfusion reaction that destroyed his kidneys. Physician Knight, Physician Dresden, and Surgeon Elder worked for thirty minutes, back and forth from the OR to the sleepers, to keep Vadim Kullak alive. The only reason he made it out alive from this detrimental mistake was the arrival of an Operations Manager who was able to print a set of kidneys. During the scrambling to keep Vadim alive, Adzi E6 admitted to their datapack not being well equipped with up-to-date information about the possibilities of SBS-type tajarans. I believe that their datapack is also lacking other significant knowledge, such as the usefulness of Saline Plus. It is the consensus of Pharmacist Mae Lin M.S., Physician Liam Knight M.D., Physician Amelia Dresden M.D., and Surgeon Jay Elder M.D. that if Head of Security Mania Haller and Captain Ricky Oberst had taken our complaint seriously, then this incident would've never occurred and Vadim Kullack would still have his kidneys and would not have had to undergo cytophenolate treatment and experience medical negligence. We believe Ricky Obert, Mania Haller, and Adzi E6 have committed Neglect of Duty initially, and Gross Negligence after the preventable misconduct that befell Vadim Kullak. Submitted Evidence: https://imgur.com/a/l7RBJey Would you like to be personally interviewed? [ ] - Yes [ ] - No [x] - If needed. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why? Yes. Mania Haller and Ricky Oberst. Actions taken: As of the end of the shift, I was not aware that Adzi had any action taken against it. Additional Notes: My file size for forums is still fucked (I can post a maximum of 2.34 kB ;-;) so all images are in imgur. I'm reaaaallly sorry. https://imgur.com/a/jzx3Snx "You should use Saline Plus, which is more efficient and works for all blood types." Quote
