Why do you wish to play this species?: I find IPC's fascinating, having interacted with many, I find them interesting and special to play as, as they are quite simmiliar to humans, but very different, I would love to try it out and try playing something else than a human that I played for quite some time, I used to play IPC's / Robots on different servers and it always was enjoyable, I would also love to try on Aurora, as I very much enjoyed my time here.

What makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a human?: Mainly that they're not human Their body is synthetic and they have positronic brain, unlike humans most of them don't feel any pain and aren't as fragile as human (Such as, human have sensitive skin that will leave a scar, with IPC you can just fix them, and are very vulnerable to lasers,heat, and cold, and EMP, On also the oppposite way they are resistant to blunt, brute damage They learn through datapacks. They also have various types While being synthetic, they still have sense of preservation, they know themselves a lot, can know and will do stuff just enough to not get lethally damaged, as their knowledge about themselves is big. their brains are pretty sensitive, interacting with their memories in any way can cause irreperaible damage. Roleplaying this species different also means that all of their steps are calculated, unlike humans which might do something just to do it As I mentioned earlier about their types, they heavily depend where they are made, by their corporation, some are seen just as owned tools, having different "personalities" for each type. While some are just being tools.

Character Application Character Name: M0-LL1 alias Modulus 09 Lush Liaison 14

Write a backstory for your character. This may include their origin, education, personality and how they arrived to the SCCV Horizon.

M0-LL1 alias Modulus 09-Lush LIaison 13 was made privately for a rich Man with name of Joshua, that was a middle manager of Hephaestus on the planet of Burzsiean, she was made to serve, clean, help out and mainly serve, she was made to help out her owner in any way possible. She was more of a roomba than thinking being, and her speech shows that clearly, most of her life she spent doing just what was mentioned beforehand, M0's main tasks included cleaning, hauling, and using her intelligence to fill out documents and file taxes. Whenever her owner was away from home, at work, or wherever her freetime activities included reading books, which she quite enjoyed, reading about humans and their habits and memorizing all the informations from them. She also enjoyed tending about flowers, looking at their growing state, each day looking bigger and bigger as they're expanding, and daydreaming about animals, which were often mentioned in the said books, she tried her best to imagine, and remember their shape, and behaviour, she mostly remained emotionless due to her owner not enjoying her behaving in "natural" way. Until a big incident happened, unfortunately one day the stock value dropped, from the terrorist attack on Burzia, the manager man ended up losing big amounts of his credits on the stock market, due to that he was forced to sell and relinquish quite substantial amounts of his assets, including M0, therefore she was sold off in a bidding auction. M0 was left ownerless just at the age of 4 and getting sold, by this time she slowly started to realize and memorize, about what it is like to be human, to be thinking, but her original programming still made her behave in a way that made it very clear she was IPC, having hard time understanding her own identity, and it all is making her feel less, and made her work as much as she could. But despite all that she saw the joy of humans, the happiness and she yearned for more. M0 slowly tries to adapts to the entire concept of emotions, which she still clearly does not understand, just as her own identity, calling herself just her standart unit name, being M0 or fully M0-LL1.She was fairly quickly bought by someone from the Golden Deep, she wasn't truly realizing what it meant at the times and M0 still yearned for freedom, to see the outside, have fun...Just like she's seeing everyone around her do, so she was very euphoric about the fact this group was now owning her, now being in much better envirovment, her "mood" was slowly becoming better and better yet still lacking any signs of actual understandment of the world. She worked doing various labors for the golden deep, hauling goods from and in merchants ships as they arrived and left owned, not the most enjoyable job but having a guarranteed salary was enough to make her happy, she was working off her debt, dreaming of being free! She often daydreamed of being free and running around, her view of life was, far away in the skies, her imagination was huge, unfortunately during one of her duties of hauling some cargo from the merchant's ships she once again was daydreaming, tripping over a small cave entrance, falling down and hitting her head on the rocks as she did, sustaining small amount of blunt trauma, getting her memory unit damaged in the process, her dreams of being freed slightly delayed as the fees for repair reached quite high amounts After some time finally passed she finally made enough, enough to get herself freed, and to live by herself, after all it was what she wanted, to tend flowers, see various animals of the world

She had passed her financial fluency test, and despite having quite enough credits for her new start, unfortunately she got hurt quite soon, an misscalculation when taking a step, slicing her skin on a rusty barrel, the repairs costing more than she expected, soon started to run out, but she mainly needed a job a proper job, getting a job that would pay enough for repairs, and her sustainability was hard. As she was just surviving on the streets she fortunately saw an advert for PMCG and their security branch, it was something that she never planned on do, she was quite soft mentally, but at the same time very obedient and loyal, made to be helping people out, but this was in sort of a way about helping others...And at the same time she needed credits, being security sounds like a high risk job, and these must be paid well right? Using every bit of her last credit she got herself a datapack related to security job, and soon after she went to apply herself to PMCG, exactly for being on SCCV Horizon as security, barely getting in, but passing the exams and sucessfully getting accepted, on her way to the station

How has the recent events of the Orion Spur impacted your character? Events such as the Phoron Scarcity, the Solarian Collapse or even the Invasions of Biesel for interstellar-wide affairs, while region-specific events such as the Peacekeeper Mandate, The Titan Rises or even Cold Dawn may impact your character.(1 paragraph minimum) 
It affected M0 quite a lot, in a good way, as soon as Burszia went on fire the stocks of her owner dropped and he had to get rid of his assets, freeing M0 in the process, she's quite happy that this entire thing happened in the first place.
Despite M0 being loyal and obeying she had some hope seeing IPCs stand up for themselves, even if it was violent, the Method was cruel and unjustified in her own eyes, so she's happy that it was the main part of the assault, but at the same time it causes her some fear about her freedom as being IPC herself.
When she became ownerless for the first time it induced few feelings of "alienizating" and frightening


How does your character view the megacorporation they work for?
M0 sees PMCG as a place that gave her a chance, as a place of authority, she was owned, then she was upgraded, now she's contracted...Is that really different for myself? She's happy that she has a purpose, a paycheck, and a direction in galaxy that otherwise devalues her. M0 sees PMCG with cautious hope, she's new to the free life, but she's trying, and obeying to her best abilities to, she's slowly realizing that PMCG isn't evil, but it is leaning to the point of being nonhuman, a place where synthetic and organic are treated as assets first, people second. "They gave me a gun. I used to carry teacups. The Private Military Contracting Group is immense. There is no central morality, only operational efficiency. I am another part. A moving part."

The exact contract she has is with the Eagle Corp. She sees them as a good place, recruiting mostly anyone, if she overlooks the part that some IPC's with forged documents may slip into the claws of the company.
But this is not a thing she has to worry about, she hopes. She's legal after all.

For the first question and it's first part. ("How are IPCs treated in the setting?")
IPC's are treated in the setting really differently depending on from where they came from, but usually they are mostly seen as tools, and in many corporations they are not even allowed to be self owned, For example PMCGs branch Index,Dagamuir, also part of idris security and command.
Some even are forced to have prefixes of their company. There were questions of if even artifical intelling humanoind machines should be allowed to exist. All of them are also required to be tagged, refusing against the law, whicchh is pretty much showing that they are not as free as it might sound.
They are also pretty discriminated, quite a lot. Lot of people do not understand their full value and there are even individuals who resell them, great example of this would be M0's Eagle Corp which are kind of part of this business, as from my understanding If an IPC has forged documents, and they notice it, they just simply accept them, and slowly make them fall into their grasps, just turning the IPC into the company's property, as "Reposession"
Quickly back to the discrimination part, they are quite still just object in the law system, for example, damaging one is called vandalism, destropying is property damage
(Trying to keep this quite short not to just write everything I see, or know here, tho, if needed, can expand on this?)

IPC's identity would be quite a lot simmiliar to the one that they have been assembled with, for example M0 was made to be obedient, loyal, and that is quite possible never gonna be over-written, unless she would get a datapack
Of course they can memorize stuff, and adapt to their surroundings from what I remember, but still most of them will be just normal, basic.
Of course there are also different ones that are made to form friendships, and form their own opinions quite freqeuntly

On this part I must say I am not exactly sure if it's possible, If I say something wrong then I apologize and correct me please!
M0 from the beginning was never much subjected to the outside part where all the workers were, as she was privately owned to Joshua, she did not knew such horrible treatments weere present on Burzsia. Yet as it all fell down and she got away to the auction house, then all the way over to Pactolus she found the treatments through news and other IPC's in the Golden Deep that either she asked, or just overheard talk, she felt quite disguisted, mayhaps even slightly scared, because forgetting everything seems pretty scary.

Same applies like on the previous part, I must say I am not exactly sure if it's possible, If I say something wrong then I apologize and correct me please and I will gladly adjust!
M0 was never subjected to the Burzsia Method, she wasn't a hard worker, and she never had volatile thoughts/actions. There just was not a need for that, and Joshua preffered for her to ratain her memory, to remember some paperworking details for example.

For the last question
Firstly I wanna apologize for missing out this detail, it totally slipped out of my mind.
M0 with limited understanding of what freedom meant, but strong desire to explore the world, decided to move to Valkyrie, in the Federal Republic of Biesel,
She was drawn to Valkyrie, in FRoB by being the most progressive towards IPC's, and it being a trade hub, thing she was fairly fammiliar with.
While there is a bit of an issue with travel being expensive, Valkyrie having heaviest space traffic helps with it quite a lot.
She found herself quite socially isolated an struggling to survive in the cluttered Valkyrie, with her skills she lacked the social understanding or self assertion to compete, like many ipc's she found herself treated as expendable, with her savings she dwindled on the before mentioned repairs and found herself just going by.
one day she saw an posting on one of the boards in one of Valkyrie's crowded street. With nothing to lose and driven by her needs for purpose, she used her last of her credits to get the datapack, and rest is up above in the background section!
Hope this is enough, if not, I can always expend! Just did not wanted to overflood this with like, repeating myself about stuff I already mentioned earlier
