Reason for Appeal: To offer a bit more context, that reason isn't all of it. I also technically evaded the Discord ban afterwards by joining on my main account after having deleted the alt I used for Aurora. If I recall, that's why it stuck - a zero toleration policy towards ban evasion. For that reason, and the fact that this is my second self-requested permaban, I'm not expecting this to get accepted but I thought I'd fire a longshot. 

It's also confusing to me whether this is supposed to be a staff complaint or an unban request. I was told by one person (non-staff, but still in the Aurora community) that I asked that it would be a staff complaint, as I do not entirely agree with the reasoning behind upholding it. Though it's been quite some time now and I noticed the staff member in question is not on the list of staff on the forum, which further confuses me as to what format I use. If this is better fit as a complaint, please do clarify. I've been out of the SS13sphere (outside of a brief tryst on another server for a month-ish in Spring) for a bit and some of these things have slipped my mind in the time since.

Anyway, my main point here was going to be that the ban evasion in question was joining the Discord for less than a day to look over logs related to my ban, followed by leaving without sending a message. I don't recall exactly when this was, but I do know I did not send a single message in that time nor did I ever, at any point, join the game server itself or anything of that sort. It was very sincerely more a stupid moment of not realizing that joining the Discord to fetch those logs would, of course, be a form of ban evasion - which feels obvious a year later, having had it explained to me, but I digress. I do not think that the action was done with the intentionality that I feel would necessitate such a harsh response, is my point.

My only further comment would be that I was a very, very active Aurora player for a long time, and that my Discord conduct was not exactly desirable. If this ban were lifted, I would certainly avoid returning to that - the entire reason I'm actually filing this unban request is that I was scrolling down the hub to check out another codebase, and realized that I didn't feel very strongly about Aurora anymore. Which, in this context, feels like a good thing to me, in that I am not so over-invested in the pixel game as to throw tantrums over it as I once was.

Normally, if you disagree with a reason you were banned, you normally bring it forward immediately in a staff complaint, but as the person banning you is no longer staff, this is the correct place.

I am more than happy to DM you the reason you were banned in game, which I'm sure you can see if you attempt to log on, but yes, you were also ban evading on discord, which we do not appreciate.
