Nagito Komaeda Posted Sunday at 19:30 Posted Sunday at 19:30 Reporting Personnel: Osisra Devorask Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Executive Officer Game ID: I'm not sure about the exact ID's, but this pertains to at least the following events during 'A Dream For Tomorrow': Dream 1: On the Edge of Light (May 16th); Dream 4: Hic Svnt Draconis (June 12th - 13th); Dream 5: Psilence (June 19th - 20th); Dream 10: Beyond the Edge of Light (August 8th - 9th); Dream 11: A Dream for Tomorrow (August 14th - 15th). Commended Personnel: Bradley Knight; Environmental Systems Engineer Witnesses: At this point, the entire SCCV Horizon. But to name a few: Bijou Diallo - Captain; Kalkii Dynhvah - Operations Manager; Osisra Devorask - Executive Officer; Augustus Lange - Head of Security: Parts of the Command team during Operation: Deep Dive, and frequent observers to Knight holding an interim Chief position within the Engineering department. Eliza Kolmstadt - Reactor Operator; Louise Muckle - Environmental Systems Engineer; Frank Adamczyk - Ship Engineer; Az'ki Razsoso - Maintenance Technician; many other faces and names within Engineering: Members of the Horizon's Engineering team who, at various points during Operation: Deep Dive, fell under the interim supervision of Knight. Time of Commendable Act: n/a Real Time: As mentioned above, during at least these five events, if not more. Location of Act: The entire playing field held by the SCCV Horizon during Operation: Deep Dive. Overview: The success of Operation: Deep Dive is thanks to each member of the crew, who chose to join the Horizon on its expeditions into the Lemurian Sea. Our various expeditionary assignments, which generally fell beyond the scope of 'normal' operations, were picked up and executed thanks to diligence, duty and a genuine care for the Spur. That being said, good leadership is vital for the success of any operation, and as such, those who step up beyond their normal office should be rewarded. This is why I wish to formalize a commendation for Bradley Knight, as well as a motion for the SCC's hiring office to review his candidancy as a Chief Engineer under the Conglomerate. During Operation: Deep Dive, the Horizon and her crew saw danger, damage, combat and risk. A competent engineering team mitigates the consequences of the damage suffered from combat, reduces risk by establishing safe havens, and tips the scale of combat in our favour. All of this, while ensuring the rest of the Horizon can operate with full systems. In frequent cases, Knight was assigned as interim Chief Engineer by the Command team present for these operations. During our encounter with the Ashen Prince [Dream 1], Knight oversaw the Engineering department, swiftly repairing any damage sustained during the naval combat situation. Our battle with the Ashen Prince could have spiraled into more grievous damage to the ship and risk to the crew due to the cyborg attack deployed by the Prince, were it not for Knight's coordination and personal efforts within and alongside the Engineering team to repair the damage the Horizon suffered. Our strike on the alleged refueling station operated by the Outer Eyes [Dream 4] saw us fight a guard vessel, meaning similar damage to crew and ship. Engineering dealt with this damage expertly, but also deployed alongside the field team to neutralize any rogue actors on the station. Led by Knight, who operated in the field as well, Engineering supported the field team by securing safe locations, and creating more points of entry for front personnel to utilize. They were also pivotal in the decommissioning of the station in its entirety. Due to his previous field experience, Knight was yet again an apt fit for leading the Engineering department, a role he took upon himself proactively and professionally. When we dove into the Lemurian Sea, and encountered the Maki'i Xau'an [Dream 5], Knight yet again stood with the Command team as an interim, liaising between Engineering and Command. The operation here was messy, and could have been executed differently. However, even in a situation where Command needs to make a difficult decision, Knight knew how to act, convey his own thoughts, and work with the orders given. We would never have been able to depart from the Maki'i Xau'an without Knight's leadership over the Engineering department, disengaging the gravity well we were stuck in while, yet again, creating fortified positions for Security and Medical to stage in. Our strike on the Lighthouse [Dream 10] saw another bout of naval combat, where I echo previous sentiments about Knight delegating his Engineering team effectively to mitigate the damage. Furthermore, Knight stepped into the field alongside his team, through the gunfire, to ultimately facilitate our success as a whole. It is at this point that Knight himself also steps up more as a member of Command. Throughout the Operation, he has learned plenty on how to do multidisciplinary work on the ship and during expeditions. Finally, the attack on the Boneyard [Dream 11] would never have been a success without Knight and the Engineering team as a whole securing forward positions and building avenues to flank from. I take special interest in Knight's leadership over Engineering, because under his command, the Engineering team decommissioned the Intrepid's kitchen to allow for a GTR, freeing up critical space for Medical to perform their work. Having seen critical Medical treatment thrice during our attack, I'm confident in saying that feat itself saved lives. These are just the examples I can give, based on critical points during Operation: Deep Dive. There is no doubt within my soul that many members of the crew will corroborate Knight's continued value to the Horizon's Engineering department, nor do I doubt that members of Command take issue with his leadership over the department and the following interdepartmental arrangements. Knight deserves a formal commendation for the immense initiative, leadership and expertise he's shown throughout the Operation, and I heavily urge the SCC to arrange an official promotion with his immediate employer. Additional Notes: This report is written and issued by myself. Should the handling agent want more proof of Knight's competence, I will redirect you to various members of Command active during the operation.
