How long have you been playing on Aurora?:

Something like over a month.


Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:

One Question. Three Answers.


First: I want to order people around :lol:


Second: many people arpee heads who lose control in stress situations (Or just simply fail commanding their department), which, in my opinion, happens most often in MedBay then it should (if there is a CMO at all), resulting in CMO trying to do everything himself. I want to be the exact opposide, I want to be a CMO who manages a structured and efficient MedBay as long as the facility itself is functioning. (Same goes for every department of course)


Third (Not applying to loyalty implanted heads): Most of my characters are either neutral or sceptical towards NanoTrasen, and I want to be a voice that doesn't always 100% support CentCom commands, bringing some colour and flavour into a round, like mutinity or perhaps not purge all cultists/changelings, but to study them. Bring more arpee into it instead of the classical search and destroy.


Why did you come to Aurora?:

To be honest, I just randomly joined and I liked it. Well I managed to stay for a month without a single ban, it's a first time for me. Sometimes 1-2 times I got a verbal warning for meta gaming, but that's all and I always did what I was told.


Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?:

Yup. CMO and after I developed my engineer a bit more, maybe CE, regarding my Security Grandpa: he set his goals a bit higher :lol:

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:

Roleplay is about creating an own character. It can be a digital copy of yourself, or a complete new work of fiction. Only your imagination is your limit in that matter. BUTT creating a character is not everything, the following step is developing an character. With time, you'll develop traits and perks which make your previously created charater unique, a new self. And living that said character inside Space Station 13 with all his flows and fears and perks and traits is roleplay.

 

  • Searching for new friends
  • entertaining yourself
  • actually doing your job
  • trying to survive a shift
  • and everything else that's part of 2D Spessman Life

 

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:

Keep the Department in check. Every workplace needs a boss, that supervises and manages what every emplyee is doing.

 

  • Keep employee's in check
  • make everyone work
  • kick people who misuse his/her equipment/position out (and report griffons to adminboss)
  • Give your department structure

 

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:

Being a rolemodel and/or a total asshole of a boss, topkek. Bring some flavour in:

 

  • Show people how parts of their job work
  • Show them how to handle the reponsibility they got
  • Make sure there is a semi-friendly climate between the coworkers
  • Look out for people who break the rules inside your department and report to admin

tl;dr be a department guru.

How would I strive to manage that. Well....

 

  • First of all, I'd try to have a clue of everything that department has. Example MedBay: Chemistry, Virology, Genetics, Surgery.
  • Next you should now how they are supposed to work together, again example: M.D makes diagnosis. Use drugs made from chemist to heal, if damaged too heavy, do surgery, if dead clone the shit out of him or send to robotics or burn (preferably not alive).
     
  • After you have a clue of what's going on. You manage your department, look out that everyone is upholding hygene (No smoking, latex gloves and sterile mask etc.) and there is always a Doctor available at the frontdesk for emergencies.
     
  • After that, you help out where needed and try to keep the mood and moral high and the atmosphere professional.

 

tl;dr be Mister Perfect if needed to be, if everything works, you can slack of inside your office or hit on a coworker and participate in some surprise buttseks borderline ERP.

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):

Born and raised on Querrbalak (Jargon IV) inside the Nralakk (Jargon) system. He never saw any other species then his own skrell-kin. He was average in elementary school, junior and highschool. He barely passed the entrance exam for the medical university. Even if he finished his study on medicine he never made his medical doctor and instead started working for an implant factory. That gigantic and presitigious complex is know for producing excellent implant technician apprentices and therefore attrack tourists from all over the know galaxy.


This was the first time, Mosy came in contact with xenolifeform and it changed him. He was shocked, not only by their biological differences but mainly because they had a completely different way of life. While skrell work towards harmony, humans live in rivaly. Unathi prefer brining honor to their tribe. The cultural shock resulted in curiousity. What does the vast space offer? how many different ways of life exist? Is the skrell perspective always the better one? After asking himself these questions he decided to move on and leave his secluded live inside the heart of the skrellian confederacy, his family and his now ex-wife behind to find the answeres he seek.

  • Tries to befriend anyone who engages in conversation with him

  • Still stuck between being totally open minded and the skrellian way of life

How would you rate your own roleplaying?:

It's still not perfect, I got boinkd last week because of meta-gaming by a moderator (no punishment whatsoever, was just pointed out that it was not optimal arpee), but I think it heavily improved since I first joined. Thanks to excessive extended (Thanks to deadhour, I get extended quite often) I learned how to entertain myself and how to initiate RolePlay with other, because even if people are secluded, if you initiate a good conversation, most people won't ignore you. Best place to meet new people is not the bar, but the medbay lobby, because the poor guy attending frontdesk is /always/ bored.

I worked on this for 2 1/2 hours now. I'll polish it late and yes I know there are many spelling and grammar errors. I'm a german eurofag and engris is not my first, not even my second language :oops: There if you find errors, fell free to post and/or pm me. Thank you in advance.

I've seen you around on the server, you're pretty interesting roleplayer. Among your points, I see no issues at all, as they fit a quality head of staff. Not being a mindless drone who follows obediently is a good thing, in my opinion, it's what's made my captain stand out. Also, if you intend to bend regulations, make sure you know how to justify it and argument it properly. You can make people do anything with efficient debating skills. Otherwise, please make sure that your opinions don't cause issues during emergencies, when a fast choice is preferable to the right one. Sometimes, doing nothing is the worst choice.


I give you my support and hope you can meet the expectations you've placed on yourself.

Bokaza, thanks for the reply, I surely won't meet them right away, but I'll to reach my self set goals as fast as possible.
