Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I would like to play as Unathi for a few reasons. One is that i like reptilians,and Argonians. Another is that i would be more comfortable as one because i don't really like being a human.I also think i would just do better over all as a uthani. I also think how i think matches Uthani the best, since i'm not that social.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well the first thing is that they kind of hiss/stutter when they use 'S' sounds. Secondly, some humans or other races don't like Uthani and may be racist to them. Uthani are also a lot more loyal and a bit more aggresive. Their culture is also very different from human culture so they may react differently to different things. Uthani also care about honor and strength, so they will try to defend their honor more then most

Character Name: Nomu Veezara

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Nomu was born on Moghes, but left their when he was 17 to work on space stations because he needed the money. when he was 18 there was a decompression incident on a ship he was working on. his right arm got really hurt and had to get amputated,which is why he has a mechanical arm. with the time Nomu has been working on stations he has gained a few useful skills. he is 20 now and got a job to work on the NSS aurora.

Nomu is usually very nice and but also dosent talk to much. One important thing about nomu is he really hates racists. if he sees someone being mean to someone because of thier race or species he will go and defend them.

What do you like about this character?[i like that he is a uthani and because he is nice. I also like how he defends people and such.His mechanical arm is cool also, because it kind of spices up gameplay when it malfunctions and interactions when people ask him how he lost his arm. /b]

How would you rate your role-playing ability?[Well iv been roleplaying for a few years and am pretty good at it but i occasionally get mad at someone OOC for something they did, but not often. i am a pretty good roleplayer still

Thank you for having the interest in applying for the Unathi species. Unfortunately I'm sorry to say that this application leaves a lot to be desired. I'll go through the points in order of importance, and give you time to respond in them in a way that improves your application.

 

• Knowledge of the race. You know that they stutter, and that they can face discrimination. The stereotype that they're much more aggressive than humans is one that is reasonable to include, but you have to also consider that due to their nature they are also far more obedient and loyal to their superiors. Aggression has to be tempered or it's just being grating. I don't really see an understanding of the Unathi race here outside the very basic that are stereotypes across most Baystation servers that use the unathi species.
  
• Apparent lack of investment. Lacking information or other problems in a whitelist can be easily worked out if the person shows a genuine interest in their application and show a desire to play the race. I try to be really lenient and considering, but I wasn't able to weasel out any reason to overlook the problems here. The backstory for him is extremely short. "Shiny Tail" itself breaks naming conventions of the race. He also helped restore a 517 year old artillery piece that for some reason had 517 year old explosive shells laying around, and lost his hand. That could be fine, but what does it give him? What does it bring to him as a character, and what possibilities does it have for other people? There's just. . . Not enough to show you're actually interested in this.
  
• Formatting/grammar. This is a symptom of the above. You seem to have posted this without proofreading, as it is littered with formatting and grammar errors.

 

Again, alone these problems could be sorted out with some quick dialogue. Unfortunately this application has multiple glaring issues and I don't feel that I can give you a whitelist unless I see that you understand the lore of the species for Aurora and understand how to play them. I'll give you the rest of the pending time (2~3 days) to improve the application before I come to a final decision. Unless improvements are made that satisfy the issues I explained, it's going to be a firm denial.

What are some of your character names? I haven't really seen you outside of OOC. Also, in OOC you ask a lot of questions, which isn't a bad thing, but you are still new and learning the game. I think it would be better for all of us if you learned the game a bit more (maybe another week or two) before you apply again.

I apologize for the wait. I had a discussion about this application with the lore team to additional input. It's not felt, even with the edits you've made, that you meet the standards set for gaining a whitelist. I encourage you to continue playing and learn more about the server and unathi species, and reapplying at a later time.
