Guest
Reporting Personnel: Vira Taryk Rank of Reporting Personnel: Head of Security Personnel Involved: Mrychny Lyar (victim), Myself (Complaintant), Lucas Bickerson (Witness), Ahren Hawkins (Target of the complaint) Time of Incident: 12-OCT-2457 Location of Incident: Brig Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty []Harassment [x]Assault [x]Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Early in the shift, I received a report that the detective Ahren Hawkins was extremely inebriated and had gotten drunk without having informed me they were doing so, and screaming drunken obscenities at people. Since I had already demoted another officer for abusing other personnel and throwing punches, I was already losing patience and faith with my department. I had already established the same guidelines and precedents I always set shift after shift, especially the rule on drinking. Nevertheless, Hawkins found a way to defy it. I had asked the officer Lyar to strip Hawkins of their identification and their weapon so that they wouldn't act out in a drunken rage and shoot up employees. I had stepped away for a moment to file the demotion papers for Ahren Hawkins, the Detective at the time. Once I finalized the demotion papers to be processed by the captain, Gaelynn MacCambridge, at the time, I heard a scuffle just down the hallway, particularly that of a stun baton being heard. The first discharge wouldn't have brought my attention, but I heard continuous discharges from a stun baton. When I went down the hall to investigate, I saw the detective using Lyar's own stun baton against the latter party repeatedly, almost in a torturous manner. I drew my weapon and shoot the detective to the floor with stun bolts, and had them thrown in the brig for assault and neglect of duty. At that point, the detective was yammering in memes and taunting the security personnel that brought him to justice. Due to the fact he was violently screaming and threatening death, the warden (with my blessing) opted to move them to an isolation cell until their sentence was completed. Hawkins afterward was rendered temporarily catatonic, and was moved to cryo after their sentence was up. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Yes, Gaelynn MacCambridge, captain. Additional notes: As an OOC note, this was during an extended round in the afternoon today. Link to comment
