How long have you been playing on Aurora?:A lot of months, can't quite remember. But at least a year I think, on and off.


Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:I recently obtained an interim head position during a round, and really want to be a head officially now. At least, that is what spurred me to make this post, I have also wanted to be part of the decision making of the station and have a major role in rev and mutiny rounds.


Why did you come to Aurora?:I originally wanted to play on an High-RP, high-pop server, and Aurora was just there. Now, I like the community and just how it all works.


Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?:Oh yeah, I basically always have it open when I play. And I get what I am suppose to be doing in all the departments, except Telescience because bleh math.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:Roleplay is the ability to put yourself into other situations and act like how that character would in the circumstances. It should be about interesting and fun situations, and doing things you would never be able to do in real life.


What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:

The OOC purpose for Heads is to keep their department on task doing what they need to be doing(Set up patrols,make a med list, ect), be the authority figure for questions and problems(How to set up singo, supply requests). And try to encourage an RP environment by being good at RP.


What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I think the OOC responsibilities of whitelisters is to provide a good RP example to others. I would try to keep immersion by following the SOP and punshing people in my department for not(Within reason of course) Mostly though, I think the heads have a responsibility to make the round enjoyable, even if I know OOCly something is a bad idea, but looks good ICly, I should do that for an interesting and fun round

Character name: Peter Nesbitt, Head Of Personal

Character age: 38

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Born on Earth, Peter was part of a higher class family of aluminum tycoons. His father's father made millions during the First Interstellar War by selling ship casts to the highest bidder. As Heir Apparent to the company, his father gave him formal schooling and sent him to the prestigious University of Montreal at 18. He completed a Masters in Personnel Management And Human Resources, and was given a supervisory role at the Detroit Metal Foundry, owned by his father. He worked diligently for 4 years, making some minor improvements, but nothing radical. Soon, a massive union strike at metal plants on Earth shot prices through the roof. Peter's company was able to reach a settlement quickly and exploit the market, making millions. That was when Hephaestus Industries approached him and his father with an offer to buy their company. After much thought, they decided to accept, and became high level employees at Hephaestus, in fact working in the same factories they did before, as well as rich for many generations.


Five years went by working at Hephaestus, when NanoTrasen offered him a job on the NCV Von Braun, a Super Freighter, as a Crew Management Officer. With his father's blessing, he took the job and began a 4 year long career on the Von Braun. From a lowly Crew Management Officer to Head Of Personal on the Von Braun. He then applied for a station position a year later, landing him on the Aurora.


What do you like about this character?: Peter was never faced with a poor life, everyone knew he would always be on top. But, that doesn't mean he is some snob who spits on the homeless. Sure, he may would at a Mega-Corp at a high-level position but he started as a manager at a small-ish business. He isn't a rags to riches story, he just got lucky really, but he knows the people below him that do the hard work are who he should thank.


What do you dislike about this character?: Peter is a bit bland honestly, no life altering event, no dead parents, no PTSD. He just is a business man who isn't ready for any military action or fighting. If you need a person in combat, maybe skip over Peter.


What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Masters Degree, as well as experience in management at the plant, as well as starship experience from the Von Braun. And he is old enough to have plenty of career experiences.

How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 8/10, I love reading lore and immersing myself in the universe. Most of the time I can RP fine, but sometimes I slip a bit out of character because I am frustrated or something. Usually that doesn't happen though :D



Extra notes: Feel free to to tell me if I messed up some lore. And also, all heads are loyalty implanted right? Not just Capt. and HoS?
