Kerbal22 Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 There is nothing left but a cloud of radioactive debris and various pieces of diaspora, no life pods, nothing. Perhaps, you should check out that collection of dead ships that jumped in. Quote
Gollee Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Aesen curses as the signatures turn out to be simple debris, "No apparent pods, moving scans to the battle-group." Acetes, take us over to the battle-group. The Falcon craft swoops towards the silent vessels. Quote
Wer6 Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 "Captain on deck!" Still wearing cryo fatigues, albeit with captain colors, Captain of the Thanix, Jamie Devultz strides into the bridge of the ship he commands. Immediately, he begins to work the captains terminal, and obtaining status reports from all of the ship. After obtaining the go ahead to start the ships engines from engineering, the ship strains slightly, an begins a sensor sweep(and starts patrolling) across the current sector. Quote
Kerbal22 Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 Thanix's sensors instantly light up with the emissions from the explosion, a massive EM burst now heading for every ship in sector. Anything with shielding will be fine..but anything without.. The silent vessels well, stay silent. They are scrap as far as one can tell, closer examination may yield a treasure-trove of technology and parts. Quote
Wer6 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 As Jamie peers over the sensor readings, he immediately diverts shields to full power, drawing from the forward mounted weapons, afterwords, he heads towards the collection of dead ships. Quote
Gollee Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 They appear to be barren, Aesen Take us in closer, love, let's see if there is anything we can use Acetes approaches one of the vessels cautiously, reaching out with it's distortion field to stabilse itself. Quote
Wer6 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) The Thanix sends out an active radar pulse, getting a somewhat accurate map, and exposing his position briefly. Then, it closes onto one of the smaller vessels that have been disabled, and docks with it, and begins to salvage from it, point defense firing to prevent debris hitting the hull. Valkrae Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 The Red Winter locks onto the Thanix's position, it's engines and weapons immediately lighting up, and turning to face the ships location. It broadcasts the following message. "This is the Red Winter, Deputized Ship of the Alliance. You are ordered to stand-down, and send your ships name, cargo, and armaments to our ships. You have three minutes to comply." Quote
Wer6 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 After receiving the transmision, the Thanix decouples from the ship it is docked with, and transmit a short reply. "You first." Quote
Valkrae Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 A missile flies right by the bow the Thanix, detonating a piece of debris not far from the Thanix. Quote
Wer6 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 The Thanix quickly goes full after burn, hurdling at the opposite direction from the missile came from, having not yet detected the Red Winter. "No cargo, no names. Armament of forward mount rail. *chuckle*" The Thanix Fires a full barrage against a particularity large piece of debris, shredding it. Quote

Gollee Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Acetes shudders to a halt as the debris it had been heading towards explodes in nuclear fire. Aesen! We are under fire! Aesen grints as she recovers from the sudden burst of gravity, before clambering to her feet and slapping a hand down on the communications console, not realising she was still openly transmitting, "Red Winter! Someone just launched a volley off of our bow! We can't take a hit like that!" Acetes, bring all our systems to maximum, our shields might be able to protect us from a glancing, and I am pretty sure someone knows we're here. Acetes' signature appears on scanners as it's shields and fusion core activate, and it's weapons spin up. Aesen cursed loudly as she realised she had openly broadcasted; she tapped the comms again, "Whoever the hell did that, you came very close to hitting a very angry Hegemony Biocraft; pull that again, and I'll ram half a dozen bio-missiles up your crack hole." ((Just realised that Acetes is over double the size of Thanix)) Quote
Wer6 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Captain Jamie reviews his sensor dispatch, attemting to find who broadcasted the most recent message. "So theres more of you eh? Jeeze, fine." The Thanix fires a strategic probe, and cuts power to all non-critical systems, drifting at high speeds. Quote
Gollee Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Aesen closes her eyes, watching the drifting ship through Acetes' distortion field. You would think, after fighting biocraft for so long, people would know that stealth can't hide mass. Quote
Wer6 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Jame looks at the data that is being compiled by the strategic probe, trying to find anything to hide in. He found a large, hollow asteroid with large amounts of metallic material. The Thanix Orients itself to fire a burn to maneuver towards an asteroid, and briefly fires its engines. Quote
Kerbal22 Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 FTL dropout in 3...2...1... With a bright flash of blue light and a thunderous amount of electromagnetic radation, the Concordia drops out of warp only 100 kilometers from the Red Winter, in all her shiny glory. "Hailing Red Winter, i repeat, hailing Red Winter. Quote
Gollee Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Aesen swore loudly as the Concordia dropped out of warp; the sudden addition of the large mass to the distortion field giving her a splitting headache. Quote
Wer6 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 The Thanix Slowly parks inside the cavernous asteroid, activating maglocks, and magneticly attaches to the ferrous rich asteroid. Jamie taps onto the console linking him with the probes, and then broad casts, "Well jeeze guys, whatya want from me?" Quote
Kerbal22 Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 "Unknown probes detected..destroying. The Concordia's missile tubes slowly roll open, disgorging 32 missiles heading for the Thanix'sprobes. One probe would be left alone, and hacked. Quote

The one probe that is being hacked self destructs, not before being cracked, revealing the Thanix's location. Shortly after, the probes orient themselves toward an asteroid, then shutting off completely. Quote

Ship controlling probes located...aligning primary weapons.. The Concordia aligns it's main rail-guns with the asteroid, and even inside of said asteroid, Thanix can detect massive amounts of power building up along the main rails. Quote
Gollee Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Acetes calls over the common band, "Lower all weapons! None of us are bioships, apart from me, of course, but I am on your side!" Quote
Wer6 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Jamie shivers for a moment, and dry heaves, suffering from dump shock because of the destruction of the probes. As he recovers, he returns to the sensor readings, noticing the strong EM readings from the Concordia Jamie activates the emergency shutdown, and grumbles as he dons emergency internals, and a environment suit. He puts his hand to the headset on his ear, and broadcasts into the ship bounced radio for the crew to enter cryostasis. Jamie stays in the bridge. The Thanix seems to be unresponsive, its 8 forward mounted railguns flicker, and then activates emergency ammo dump(Ejecting 8 red hot 3m ferrous slugs), the ship then shuts off completely, no EM signatures, and thermal signatures is lowering. ((EDITTED! Reformatted, added a line.)) Quote
Wer6 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Not going to be able to get on for a while. Assume the captain went into stasis, ship Is adrift. Be back in a week. Quote
