Position Being Applied For Lore-Developer (Primarily interested in the Vaurca)

Past Experiences/Knowledge: Multiple Novelettes based on Space Station, Practice in Cartography and Geography,And intense and obsessive study of our wiki and baystation 12's wiki, I also have minor to moderate expierince in wiki Writing and design.

Examples of Past Work: A partial Edit I did to the Vaurca wiki page- a lot has changed, a lot is the same, Essentially some minor edits to try and make things easier to grasp since some aspects of the race were so...complex- I wanted to try and make it a more player-friendly race and a bit more familiar. here you go have at it

Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.): Skype would be nice just messege me here on the forums or via the byond client to ask for the contact info, Other then that I prefer contact by Byond Client, Forum Messeges, Email (Ask for address), Text (Ask for number), Phone call (Ask for number), Traditional post (Not reccomended, but ask for address),Telegraph, Smoke Signals and unintelligible face to face grunting.

I'm sorry, but a neutral vote from me. Don't get me wrong - you're friendly, have good characters and OOCly are a little bomb of sunshine, but you give off two main vibes that I feel might conflict with a loredev position.

First, to put it bluntly, you're... volatile. You enjoy discussing things, and it feels like given the opportunity, you'd go on and on and on, maybe even derailing onto other subjects, and I feel like you wouldn't be okay with stopping until a subject reaches a clear end where nothing more can be added.

And secondly, you care a whole lot. The position of a loredev is full of criticism, and sometimes we can even get a little but vocal in opinions. I don't know how well you'd fare in that - not that you'd contribute negatively to it, but how you would personally react. I still remember the one time I lashed out at you as a ninja, and I felt that it really bothered/hurt you until I came to you to apologize. And as the overseer of a whole species, especially, you're bound to get a lot of flak for people who get denied (that, or no one actually gets denied because you're afraid of hurting them). This point is not for us - it's for you. As I said, you're a little bomb of sunshine - and it's felt when the sunshine's shadowed on.

I could be completely, entirely wrong - and you're free to convince me that I am. But until then, I have to stay neutral. Sorry.

First of all, I would like to thank you dearly for all of your compliments. As for being volatile? I...Don't think so? I do like to talk a lot about subjects I like, yes but when it's clear I should stop I do, and am Capable of doing so, See my little bit in that varuca lore about the new caste I Added? I wanted to go on and on and on about that and initially I did, But I was able to review it, and condense it down into no more than a short bit on them in less than an hour for the entire process. I really do think I can do this.

Secondly- Yes, I do care a whole lot and I understand the position of loredev is full of criticism, I wouldn't apply for it if I couldn't take it I assure you, Critique is part of what makes something improve and thus I actually agree wholeheartedly with it- and love receiving it, on the note of accepting and denying applications? I don't really care about get flak from anyone it's a matter of brushing it off and moving on- and in recent times I have come to understand that. It's been a bit since that ninja incident occurred and I am happy to say I have come a long ways since then.

Ohh my god, you really are a ball of sunshine. I just want to poke you until you go batshit crazy.

*cough*

Jokes aside, you seem like you can handle criticism and be productive. Would make a quality loredev. But, I'll be honest. We currently have 8 official members in the lore team, which is frankly too much considering how much work needs doing. I think the only dev we really need urgently is a Vaurca one. So, if you get denied for that, it's unlikely that you will be taken in. However, if you don't, that doesn't mean you can't contribute, becuase being a loredev gives you literally nothing other than an unnecessary hotline with the other devs (who's moan at your ideas) and access to edit the wiki.

TL;DR: Being loredev sucks, but we still want your input

Thank you for applying! I've seen how much you enjoy the space-ants. However, I've already accepted an application for someone to oversee them, and currently our lore roster is a bit full.

I'll mark this as denied, and let you know if I have any more openings in the future!
