Guest Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Reporting Personnel: Vira Taryk Rank of Reporting Personnel: Head of Security Personnel Involved: Myself (as plaintiff and department overseer), CCIA Sarah Wolfe (witness and issuer of injunction), Sslazhir Yinzr (witness), Jade Rathel (instigator and violator of injunction) Time of Incident: 30-JAN-2458, unsure of time Real time: 1900EST 30/01/16 [dd/mm/yy] Location of Incident: Brig Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment []Assault [x]Misconduct [x]Other; Violating an injunction Overview of the Incident: Duty Officers came onboard the station today as of me writing this report. In particular, Sarah Wolfe, charged with the internal oversight of security, boarded the station to hear Jade Rathel, once again, mouthing off to crew members and being a general annoyance with insults such as "idiot", "moron" and other derogative terms. The Duty Officer issued me an injunction to be carried out and given to Jade Rathel. I made sure that Rathel received the injunction and instructed them to carefully read the terms of the injunction, as well as a side note that I would be able to brig them and strip them of their rank and possession of communications if they did not follow it. Unsurprisingly, they did not. Given that they first initially violated their injunction within 5 minutes of receiving it, Duty Officer Wolfe opted instead to call in the entire security team in an effort to politely chew out the offending crewmembers and warn them rather sternly about their career integrity with the corporation if the lot of them did not cease with their unprofessional, misguided and otherwise disrespectul conduct. While some of my subordinates voiced distaste with being held accountable for the actions of others, I assured them that they had nothing to worry about if they opted to just do their job correctly as they always had. Shortly after the duty officer's departure, Rathel resumed their consistent disrespectful charade and was eventually brigged, stripped of security related gear and their identification/headset taken. We could not properly demote them as the head of personnel and the captain during the shift had went to cryo. At escape, Rathel decided to badmouth me in spite when I was in clear earshot of her. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: The command staff (Valorren Vitellia (HoP; albeit I am unsure if he was the HoP during this shift), some other Skrellian captain whose name I can neither pronounce nor remember to spell, Tyrone Deshaun (CMO), Oliver Roadman (CE), were all made aware of the issues Rathel was constantly bringing up, not to mention the fact they were insisting that I cut out Rathel from the security force several times. I only caved because I thought Rathel got the message about the injunction very early on in the shift as well as from the meeting that was held. Clearly, I was wrong. Additional notes: I don't mean to impose nor question the duties of the DOC, but I am sure that I and several others have made every attempt to allow them to improve, and they haven't changed one bit since they were first demoted to cadet. I really do not think they are capable as an officer in any operational capacity whatsoever. Their gimmick every shift seems to be to snark at others, laze about while the other officers dispatch back and forth to deal with real issues in which lives could be at risk, and yet Rathel insists on doing utterly nothing aside from antagonizing crewmembers, the exact opposite of their assigned duties. They never attempt to justify their actions, they constantly make ridiculous excuses that one would normally hear from a belligerent child. I can't say it's been anything less than shocking to hear that nothing permanent has been done about them yet.
