Baguette Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I, personally, think that it's a bit unfair that one of the weakest species can't be restored in any way, shape, or form. So I thought of a way that'd actually make sense. Roboticists being able to construct shells, and then remove the processor(or other components, i guess) from an inactive IPC. Then they could put it in the new shell. Of course, to balance things out, the construction of a new shell would be expensive and time-consuming. It'd also depend on if the processor is damaged, and if it is, how damaged it is. The more damaged it is, the more damage is inflicted on the new shell. Meaning a completley fucked processor wouldn't be able to be restored at all. I think this'd cut down on the amount of ahelps from IPC characters asking for rejuves because they just got ganked by an EMP, and it'd also cut down on the whining in dsay.

Cloning takes ten seconds, I think we should have IPC chassi about the same material cost and construction method as cyborg chassi. Although I do agree on the processor damage thing- perhaps give another use to the AI integrity restoration console? At any rate, I should probably make a new topic for this.
