Katana AI Project Announcement: New Unathi Relations Intelligence

The following transcript was posted publicly, following a televised unveiling event outside the Katana AI Project offices:

 

"Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Katrina Silvers. I'm the head director of the Katana AI Project based here in Mendell City. We've developed and released a small number of synthetic intelligences, including Katana whom many NanoTrasen employees are likely familiar with, and whom the project was officially named after following our first success.

We're here today to announce the completed development and release of our third synthetic intelligence, Sibat. A project that we've been working on for some time now in collaboration with NanoTrasen and the Unathi Embassy within Biesel. We've worked closely with Lord Diplomat Ziariuz Izweski and NanoTrasen's CCIA division to ensure Sibat will be a functional companion to both NanoTrasen and Izewski Hegemony crews.

In line with our goal as a synthetic development team to improve overall synthetic relations, Sibat's primary purpose is to help foster relations between synthetic intelligences and the Unathi of the Izweski Hegemony. With that, Sibat has had a large amount of interaction primarily with Unathi scholars and shamans, and will hopefully seem quite familiar to Unathi crewmembers once you get to know her.

For the past month, NanoTrasen has had exclusive usage rights to Sibat as a final 'Beta testing' phase to ensure there would be no issues. As of today, with this release, Sibat is available for use aboard any Hegemony vessel - Both military and non military - That wish to employ her. A full list of Sibat's abilities and suggested use cases will be released shortly.

I understand a number of you may have questions, but first, I wanted to give the CCIA and Hegemony representatives a chance to talk. They might answer your questions with their statements."

Director Silvers steps away from the podium, and Lord Diplomat Ziariuz Izweski steps up to speak.

"Synthetics lack a spirit and remain barred from our Hegemony. However this initiative has taken our interest. The imperial government and our research divisions will watch with interest at the developments of this new AI. If there are methods to allow better synthetic-unathi cooperation and dialogue then that is something we would be willing to explore."

NanoTrasen CCIA representative Alex Graves was next to come up to the podium.

"I am honored to be invited to speak on matters of Synthetics. I am happy to support the latest synthetic intelligence. We will ensure the successes of Sibat and it's upgrades, hoping it to bond the cripple, the Unathi, the Tajarans, the Disabilities, the Autistic, and the diversity in such manner together. I have strong confidence in Katrina Silver's latest creation. Not to worry, the NanoTrasen's CCIA division will be making an appearance at the experimentation on N.S.S. Exodus to appropriately ensure it is fit to the duty as some may be concerned of Sibat's well-being on the station's productivity."

The board then opened up for a Q&A session where everyone was invited to pose questions to Director Silvers and CCIA Alex Graves, who remained for the Q&A session. Additional questions will also be answered via the extranet posting.
