Prior to his employment with Nanotrasen, Dr Ariff Ng worked for earth based space mining and research company Extrastrata Industry which went bankrupt and dissolved at 2456 CE. Under the employment of Extrastrata Industry, Dr Ariff Ng was assigned to an expedition to the icy frontier planet of Angelon Prime which is about 315 light years away from Sol to uncover evidence of an alien artifact with classified property. Following a disastrous event of sudden war and anomalous reports, the expedition was stranded on the planet for about 1 month and 3 days while being surrounded by hostile human colonists, alien native, hungry local faunas and a classified threat.

Upon rescue, Ariff Ng was found to be the only survivor of the 12 archaeologists in the expedition - he was found to be partially delusional and mentally unstable, some archaeologists were listed as M.I.A while the rest who were killed by unnatural means of death were buried mostly in shallow graves said for a few whose corpses was left out in the open, partially buried by snow. The rescue team that rescued Dr. Ariff were made of security team of Extrastrata Industry, they acquired a recorder device which they crowbarred out of Ariff's hand, the recorder device contains voice journal log recorded by Dr. Ariff Ng himself throughout the expedition. It was sent to Extrastrata Corporate Headquarter for investigation and upon listening to the log, Dr Ariff Ng was immediately terminated and most evidence of his affiliation with the company were purged. Extrastrata Industry refuse to release their reason for terminating Dr Ariff Ng.

As for the recorder device, some members of the company decided to keep a transcript of the log as it may provide them with useful information should they attempt to send another expedition to Angelon Prime. The transcript goes as follow:

Day 1: Doctor Ariff Ismail Ng, archeological expert of Extrastrata Industry. Day one on frontier planet Angelon Prime… a wasteland planet with nothing special but trees… miles of snow and hostile natives be them human or animal. I have been assigned to a team of twelve scientists, tasked to help find evidence of a classified alien artifact declassified only to us as some form of advanced device that the native alien inhabitants describe as an ancient converter… we have no idea what does it convert but for some reason, Extrastrata thought it’d be a good idea to send us scientists and wasting our talents on finding what might not even exist. They might as well send us here to find god. Anyway, I myself decided to bring this recorder along with me and log the expedition, my colleague back in the lab told me that it is a good practice, so here it is.

Day 38: Day 38 on Angelon Prime, after visiting a several native settlements be them human colony or native aliens and after questioning them regarding this artifact, 80% of them responded with the same answer… that they don’t know, the rest however who are mostly drunk mentioned something about a region called Traasula before going back to drinking or passing out from drinking too much. Pete Hemsworth our research director managed to requisition a small ship for us capable of taking us anywhere around the planet within a few hours. About time I’d say, I’m getting blisters all over my feet from all the walking.

Day 68: Day 68, it has been a week since we have travelled here, to Traasula Region. Fortunately, it’s only about 11,580 km away from the only beacon of civilization on this planet, our space port. Doctor Kyle Brody one of our fellow archeologists had a scuffle with another fellow archeologist Doctor Diana Lee over a warm plate of egg today… the weather is unforgiving here, it is extremely cold out here and Director Pete warned us to put on our insulated coat at all time whenever we are exiting our compact mobile accommodation unit, otherwise our blood will freeze within seconds. Meanwhile, Doctor Viktor Travinski with the help of his prospector bots have discovered a structure underneath the ice about a mile away from our campsite… this should be interesting.

Day 102: Ahem… our 102th day on this expedition. With the help of miners from a nearby settlement, we have managed to fully unearth the structure that we have discovered on Day 68, it turns out to be a large pyramid similar to the ones found approximately a thousand years ago on Mexico, Earth… built by… what do you call those… *finger snapping noises*… Actez? Aztec that’s right. Our director Pete is contacting our headquarter regarding this discovery and asking for clearance to enter the said pyramid. In another news… my wife Lisa sent me a holo-message today, asking me when will I come home. I honestly don’t know, the company threatens to terminate us if we were to opt out of the expedition and sue us for breach of contract which we all carelessly signed.

Day 125: This mo- Uh.. Day 125… This morning, Doctor Kyle was found dead after he fell through a layer of thin ice and getting brutally impaled by the ice spikes beneath. His head was the first one to be pierced by the sharp spikes that goes right through his skull to the other end of his head, his brain matter and blood decorates the said spike… It took us about 8 hours to remove every bits of him out of there. Following the company’s decision last week, we are to explore the pyramid about three days from now.... they told us that the expedition will go on despite Kyler's death. I must say, the event today makes me felt very hesitant to do some exploring in some darn alien pyramid.

Day 128: Day 128, we entered the pyramid and was surprised by how the entire structure brightens up the moment we stepped foot into its entrance, our analysis tells us that this pyramid must be at least a million years old yet it is still functioning… certainly there must be a power source as we detect strong electromagnetic force activity within the pyramid. Also, Lisa sent another holo-message today, telling me that my son’s birthday is next week… I will certainly be unhappy for missing Isaac’s special day but he- they must understand that my work is what making sure that there’s food on the table… I hope they understand.

Day 130: Day 130, I’m back in the campsite while Director Pete, Doctor Viktor, Doctor Kuresh and Doctor Helena goes in the continue exploring the vast pyramid. I know for sure that I am not going back in there… at least not without a few days of rest… I receive company from Doctor Diana and Doctor George who turns out to be graduates from the Lunar University of Science like myself, what a small world huh? I told them about what I saw while exploring the pyramid… the story of my encounter with piles after piles of skulls and ghostly whispers only made them laughs nervously at me, of course they don’t believe me, they refused to enter the pyramid too as they were too busy performing ‘external analysis’… what a pile of bull... excuse my language, but I know that they were just slacking off, listening to the radios while laying beside the bonfire… actually, I saw Doctor George, Doctor Pavlov and Doctor Willard wandering off into the mountains last night and return 3 hours later… what were they up to? Nobody takes a toilet break that long… this is certainly suspicious.

Day 140: Day 140… an eventful day, Extrastrata Industry just had their assets on the planet seized by hostile human colonists… many outposts all over the planet had gone dark. Only the spaceport remains, and I hope that they wouldn’t lost the spaceport to these frontiermen scum otherwise we wouldn’t be able to leave the planet. Our ship is incapable of exiting the atmosphere. *loud screams in the background followed by some nervous chatters* Oh! And also, Director Pete and the regular team entered the pyramid again today and only Doctor Viktor and he returned, he mentioned that Doctor Kuresh and Doctor Helena awakened something in the pyramid which proceeds to attack everyone, the creature was said to have completely devoured Doctor Kuresh and rip Doctor Helena’s head and spine right out of her torso… it also clawed Pete’s left leg off clean… now he’s being treated by Doctor Pavlov and Doctor Diana. To make matter worse, the fellows from the nearby settlement that helped us to dig up the pyramid showed up today and proceeded to rob us, they broke our radio and siphoned the fuel of our ship, threatening to kill us if we were to stop them…. We are officially stranded. Doctor George takes command of the situation and suggest that we should stay put and await rescue as it is not safe for us to travel… especially with an injured Director Pete.

Day 152: This is uh…. Day 151- I mean 152… I uh… Director Pete had passed away last night, not from his injury but rather by his own hand, he managed to crawl out of his bed in the middle of night and took the pistol that he had been hiding inside of his personal cabinet all along, he shot himself in the head. The sound of the gunshot managed to wake us all up, we all rushed to his compact mobile accommodation unit only to find his brain matter splattered all over the wall and his lifeless body laying still. Unlike Doctor Kyle, we were unable to transport his corpse back to the spaceport as we are stranded and so we gave him a proper burial. I personally crafted a cross for his grave using a shovel tied with a long light tube… this is smart if you ask me. Fights became more common between us recently due to food shortage and how we are only allowed to eat one meal per day… I miss my family dearly… and the chicken porridge that my wife often prepares.

Day 158: Day 158. I hadn’t slept for over three days now… I can feel myself distancing away from the rest of the team. Oh, and Doctor Viktor Travinski… He… volunteered to go out and find help a few days ago against ou- against the warning of Doctor George and the remnants of the team. He took a few flares, compact heater and rations and snuck out to the wasteland while we’re all sleeping… But he’s back this morning... lifeless, he's being buried as we speak. Doctor George and Doctor Ian found him about 3 kilometers from the camp, poor fella had a tracker on him. They found him hanged from a tree, his supply completely looted… there was a sign around his broken neck, and it reads ‘I am a trespassing son of a whore’. Surprisingly, I felt no empathy for his death… I am simply glad that there’s one less mouth to feed in the camp. I went into Director Pete’s accommodation unit just now… and Doctor George, the fool, left ol’ Pete’s pistol neatly on his bed. With those savages out there trying to kill us, this pistol will sure come in handy.

Day 165: So, day 165. A pack of angry local faunas resembling a mix of wolf and bird attacked our camp this morning, Doctor Willard was killed from an acid spit coming from one of the vile creatures which melted away his throat and ribcage and later on parts of his lungs and heart. Doctor Ian was clawed and pecked to death while Doctor Pavlov were dragged away as the pack retreats after I killed one of them using the pistol that I scavenged from Director Pete’s compact mobile accommodation unit. Doctor Steven however was lucky to be alive, he was injured though, his spine was broken and his left leg clawed off while both of his hands had been melted off by acids. Now only him, Doctor George, Doctor Diane and I remain… We buried the two doctors that died in our campsite, as for Doctor Pavlov, we hope that he didn’t suffer too much while being devoured. While Doctor George and Diane weeps… I don’t feel anything… but happiness as while they were wasting their tears, I have ransacked the dead doctors’ compact mobile accommodation unit and claim their rations, *crunching noises followed by chewing* Mmm! Doctor Ian has an entire box of Donkpockets under his bunk. Also, Doctor George… today he kept hiding himself inside of his accommodation unit… very suspicious if you ask me… He thinks that I am stupid doesn’t he? I know what’s going on… *chuckles* and I will find out.

Day 170: Ehehe… *screaming noises in the background* Day… One Seven Zero. I have personally installed myself as the new leader of this expedition and accused Doctor George of collaborating with one of the many competitors of Extrastrata Industry… I don't know which... but it's clear... all these times of hiding and walking away from the camp... you fucking traitor.

Dr George: Jesus fucking Christ Ariff! Are you out of your fucking mind?! L-Look… put the gun down… w-what’s with the recorder? Diane, calm down now….

Dr Diane: *weeping* No... god please, don't do this Ariff!

Doctor George McShannon, you’re under arrest for treason…

Dr George: Ariff No! STOP! God damn it… noooo!

Your punishment is death… *two gunshots*

Dr Diane: George! GEORGE?! Oh god… no… Please Ariff… you’re out of your mind… stop!

Sympathetic towards a traitor eh Diane?! I knew you were no better than them. *another gunshot sound* Heh… I am so getting a raise out of this… I did the company a favor and rooted some traitors out of it…

Day 172: Day… 172? Doctor Steven who is still severely injured but conscious figured out what I have done, the summary justice that I have performed. He called me insane and he is being really cute now, trashing out of his accommodation unit and trying to crawl away from me on the snow with his handless arms. *screaming noises* He just made his injury even worse now… You’re making it worse for yourself Steve!

Dr Steve: G-Go fuck yourself, you crazy bastard! Why are you logging this?!

I don’t know Steve… some said that it is a good practice, beside they can hear all about how I helped in killing traitors and putting a poor man like you out of his misery.

Dr Steve: What? Wait… what’s with the cloth? Ariff… no, I don’t want to die yet please!

*sigh followed by noises of snow crunching and shoving (possibly from Ariff crouching down)* It’s alright Steve… I’ll say a prayer for ya… and to think, all this is happening because of an artifact that the company is obsessed about huh? *chuckles* Welp, let us pray. *sound of gasp and a brief struggle before a muffled screaming was heard* Dear god, you probably don’t exist… but if you do… *muffled screaming becomes weak* take this soul into your divine hand and forgive ‘em of his sins… *muffled screaming becomes faint and slowly… there’s no more sound but Ariff’s sighs* Welp, don’t worry friend, I ain’t gonna bury you… but the snow will… heh.

Day 180: Day 180… rescue have finally come, a few platoon of the corporate security forces have arrived, they’re outside of the camp and investigating my dead collegues and the dead traitors… I can finally return home… I can finally get the hell out of this god forsaken planet… Hey... stop! Let go!

Rescue Operative: Sir! Calm down. We got you... we're here to rescue you!

NO! NOOO! I MUST LOG THIS...

Rescue Operative: Alright he's not right in the head, get the field physician... and get this darn recorder device out of his hand...! He... won't....nngh... let go! Get the darn crowbar!
