How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Hmmm.... I'm not exactly sure. I think maybe about 4 or 5 months.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I wish to be on the whitelist because I think Edgar would make a good head of staff. I also think it would be a fun roleplay experience.

Why did you come to Aurora?: Aurora was the first server I ever played on in the first place. Though I have tried many other servers, I believe that Aurora is the best because it focuses on heavy roleplay and character build up. I also like the community of people on Aurora, and it's fun playing with the same group of people everyday.

Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes. I read the BS12 wiki all the time. It helps me learn more about job titles and such.

Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: I think roleplay is taking the role of a character such as maybe a knight, a spaceman, a king, a queen, a monster tamer, etc. It's basically acting out a role. I think roleplay should be about having fun and boosting your self confidence(If you are a musical actor/actress). It should also be about being a different person with a different personality and background.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: I think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is knowing what to do in every situation possible. This is the case because people rely on the Head of Staff to keep everything in order, make annoucements, update the code, etc. In game it's just for an interesting roleplay experience for everybody.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players is to make sure everybody has fun and that the round isn't bad. The Head of Staff needs to be trusted for everybody to have fun because if the Head of Staff is someone who jokes around too much nobody will have fun if the Captain makes the wrong decision all the times/ or abuses their power. I would strive to uphold them by asking the admins for help or I search the internet for help.

Character name: Edgar Eons

Character age: 64

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Edgar Eons was born 64 years ago, to a poor barman and a depressed housewife. He lives in a family tree that is said to be eons years old. Edgar would spend his days and nights helping his dad clean the bar and sometimes serve drinks. He very much loved his father and mother. As Edgar grew older, he started getting involved with gangs and other bad things. Year after year, his mother would become sadder and sadder and his father would become poorer and poorer. He began messing with gangs and stealing food and cash for his family's survival. Edgar particulary grew conflict with "The Death Vultures". The big boss's name was "Red Beak" along with a group of 6 other criminals.

One night, Edgar came home to find to the bar burnt to ashes. With the bar still on fire, he entered in, searching for any lifesigns of his mother and father. He ended up finding them burnt to death. On their corpses was a note with the "Death Vultures" symbol. That same night, Edgar went and killed all 7 "Death Vultures". He lost his right arm in the process. One by one, he broke into each of their houses and shot them all with his father's shotgun. Then for many years, Edgar was known to the town as "Vengeance Vodka".

A couple years later, he moved away and met Elena, the love of his life. He married Elena and had a child named Eddie. Elena soon found out of Edgar's past life of crime and immediately divorced him. Edgar was devastated, and had no idea what he was going to do with himself anymore. Then one day he got news of a job position on the research station known as NSS Aurora. Edgar signed up for the position and got hired as the station's Detective. This is where Edgar is now at 64 years of age.

What do you like about this character?: I like this character because of his back story and personality. I like roleplaying as an old man Detective.

What do you dislike about this character?: I don't really dislike much about Edgar. I guess I will admit that sometimes I forget that he's an old man and that I should make him slower and more fragile. Other than that I like most of the things about him.

Do you think this character is fit to be a Head of Staff? (Please note that Head characters must be over 30, unless given special clearance): I think this character is fit to be head of staff. because of his wisdom and age. I think he would make a good Captain because he is reliable and he likes to make sure everyone is safe.

Why?: I think Edgar would be a good head of staff because of his wisdom and age. I think he would make a good Captain because he is reliable and he likes to make sure everyone is safe. Further more his oldness can make him look like one.

How would you rate your own roleplaying? I rate my roleplaying as at least decent. I don't think I'm the best and I don't think I'm the worst. It usually depends on which character I play as. I think I do best as Eddie though because he is young and outgoing. I can at least say I improved my roleplay skills from the beginning because at first I just goofed off and didn't do much serious roleplay.

Extra notes: I have had experience with being a head of staff before on another server called Best Rp!-Next! because nobody ever plays on there.

1) What exactly caused you to carry out these events? Well... in the past I was still pretty new to the game. I didn't really understand the concept of Heavy RP and I regret now what I did wrong.

2) Do you understand why this behavior is wrong? Yes, I understand now that it can get very annoying to other players and ruin the experience of other players.

3) How have you learned from this experience? I have learned that on Aurora I shouldn't do goofy rp like I did a long time ago. Now I only play as serious characters with my only kinda goofy yet serious character is Ned Ed. I think I now understand how to roleplay more properly. As for seeing how other people RP I can get a sense on what the limits are and how to improve my RP.

4) Are you going to repeat this behavior in the future? No. The past was the past. I was very new to this server as well as SS13 in general (plus Aurora was the first server I ever played on).
