BYOND Key: FiregunnZ

Character name: Dolph Kromberg

Item name: Bowman headset

Why is your character carrying said item to work?

Being former navy corpsman and later emergency physician Dolph found out very well how important good communication is. Having a clear and constant communication with your team is a key for success in any operation. Standart Nanotrasen radio headsets dont look very reliable and comfortable to use for him, so Dolph bring his old trusty military headset to use on station. It have better sound quality, more comfortable to wear constantly(at least for him) and it would not fall off the head at the moment it needed the most.

Item function(s): Basicaly a resprite of ordinary headset - works exactly like and accept radio keys as usual. Have only basic radiokeys initialy but can be easily modified with the radiokeys from departmental headset provided to Dolph. It would be neat if it would produce noticeable electronic sound every time Dolph is talking with it similar to Colonial Marines(or just like walkie talkie do when you Push/release its button).

It "might" also fit more radiokeys then standart headset at the cost of using both ears to be worn similar to earmuffs.

Item description: Olive tactical headset worn on the head with adjustable strap and modififed to accept Nanotrasen radiokeys, Its low-profile enough to fit under the helmet.

Item appearance: Recoloured bowman headset from /tg/ would be just fine. Thats how it looks IRL

How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Communicate with my medical/security team using it in military fashion - old habits die hard. If Dolph is warden or desk doctor in medbay - serve as team dispatcher and relay information over the channel.

Additional comments:

Example of "end of transmission" sound is here. It ends every EXALT trooper line.

Gonna have to pass on that. Standard issue radios from NT won't have custom item variants. Same reason most companies require you to use a computer they provide you and not your personal laptop in the workplace.
