ngdaniel96
Recommend to play this music while reading: Breathing anxiously, A man in cuffs can be seen trying to back away from someone or something while begging. "Please no... Not like this! Please!" He staggered and fell but still continue to stare at whatever that frightens him while crawling away backward. Two men approaches him from whence he stared and held him down as a familiar man in labcoat squats down to administer a syringe of bubbling purple solution into the man's arm as he screams and cries out in fear rather than pain. After the syringe was empty, they all released him and stood back to watch; the man in cuffs started to convulse and his skin started to swell with green colored dots. After half a minute, the man's face reddens with extreme pain as he bites down hard and could barely open his eyes, he clawed on the ground from the agony as his breathing becomes rapid and short and after a few minutes of painful struggle he finally stopped breathing and moving. "And that is how the Hellbite venom works, colonel." Dr Ariff Ng stands beside the renounced and ruthless mercenary colonel Kruger Coatzee while being guarded by two armed mercenary guards from both sides. "Each giant tree spider packs enough hellbite venom to kill 10 space bears." Beside the dead prisoner, three more men in cuffs can be seen screaming and crying in fear, begging to be spared from the same fate. "Haha! Ja! This is what I'm to'kin about bru. So jou have to inject da venum into their bludsteam?" the colonel asked after having his sadistic side entertained, he speaks with South African accent. "Well they say that the venom is so volatile that they can get to work the moment they enter a fresh wound or your eyes,... mouth, you know what I mean. The local hunters here enjoyed dipping the tip of their arrows with the venom for hunting back then... but now it's banned for its cruel nature." the scientist explains. "Furthermore, if you were to mix the venom with other liquid... this odorless and smell-less venom will easily dissolve like sugar while still maintaining their deadly properties." The colonel gives him a nod or two before patting his back firmly. "Perfect, just what I need... they bluddy insurgents bru. Fokkin won't give op and I can't just go around shooting them... at least a drop or two of these into ze water supply and that oughta teach them!" Dr Ng simply responded with a half-hearted smirk and nod, uninterested with whatever military operations that the colonel intended to use the venom in. "I take one hondrad bottles, ja. How much per bottle again?" "Well... harvesting the venom requires a certain procedure that needs 4 to 5 years of training and intermediate chemistry and biology knowledge... so you got to understand why I'll have to charge you 800 creds per bottle." "800?! Nu nu... make that 500, tek it or leave it doc." bargained the colonel. "I tell jou what, I'll give you 10 replaceable soldiers eh? They will be under your command, Ja? And I'll pay eh...about 200 per bottles too." "Sounds like a deal." Dr Ng nodded. After the negotiation, the other prisoners that were meant to serve as backup in case the first test failed were shot and had their bodies dumped in a ditch together to be buried in an unmarked grave. The colonel handed Dr Ng a briefcase filled with credits as the rest of his men begin to pack up everything. "Ju smoke?" the colonel stuffs a cigarette between his lips and offers another to the scientist in which he shook his head in declination. "Doc, I am curious. What are jou planning to use those money for? And other than protection... what plan do you have for my men?" Exhaling in the cold night with a heavy sigh, the scientist looks at the colonel with a very serious expression. "Damn Synths, Vaurxa and those damned walkin' trees... I am alright with Tajara, Unathi and Skrells but them Synths, Vaurxa and walkin' trees... they simply have no business of being equal to us... now they let the Synths to be in the command positions in our workplace... simply unacceptable." "Mhm. So what are jou going to do about it?" the colonel glances to the scientist briefly then barked a few commands to his men as they're moving crates of venom onto their own ship. "No plans for now... everyone is supporting those species and I can't risk going to prison for the rest of my life for hate crimes yet... I'll just save up money for now and we'll see what happens next." Quote Link to comment
