((I played, didn't record what I did))

4th, Sand stone: Today, I inhibit a suitable dwarf, and regain control of the fortress!

5th Sandstone: I took a look around the fortress, its newness.. then saw the remains of my old throne room.. The cowards! They removed it! Bah! They did leave the golden floor, but unfortunently, I ordered the removal of that, so it may be used in the new, better throne! Yeess..

6th Sandstone: I.. ohmygod. I took a look at the stock pile, it seems they don't know how to build a quantom stock pile.. hmm. Lets build one!

8th Sandstone: Seems Seto likes his battle axes.. he banned the sale of them. In other news, I ordered the carving of the tracks. No one is even going to the area.

10th Sandstone: Okay, I built the track, I went to the forges, to order a minecart to be built.. The last damn over seer left good goblinite!

14th Sandstone: The damn dwarves aren't hauling SHIT to the quantom stock pile machine I've built. The Jerks. I have begun construction of the arena. I looked at some of the engravings, I saw one of Xander. Engraving a master piece. It was a masterpeice. So meta.

16th Sandstone: Syrus Seto, named his god damn spear. Why do people love their damn weapons so much?

23th Sandstone: I got the quantom stockpile to work, all bask in its glory! It shall store our ores, our stones!

2th Timber: The Arena is complete. The blood shall spill, once we obtain wild caged animals! Hahaaha!

3rd Timber: WE RAN OUT OF STONE.

[Elligible] : I have begun the great coffin room, for my past incarnate, he has already been moved there!

1st Moon stone: AVAST! A SEEIIIIGE!

6th Moon stone. It is done. Eheheheh, I strode out from the confines of the fort, damn sun, and saw the blood bath. Some live stock dead, vomit everywhere, and one dead troop. May Guilin, sister of steel, rest in piece.

7th Moonstone: It appears, a dwarf claimed the carpenters workshop!

8th Moonstone: He built a god damn casket.

16th Moonstone: I built an above ground farm, hehe, soon we shall have fine wines and fruit for all(me)

5th Opal: The new dining room I am constructing has its first bits of floor.. yeeess.

Ohohoho.. Here ends me reighn on this place

I made a quantom stockpile for stone, yeh dirty bastards better not ruin it.

A dining room made of brass, and some gold, hehehehe.

I made a mausalom for me past incarnae.

Survived a seige with one causualty.

I'll take a second to appologise for not getting to this sooner. Hopefully if the lag isn't too bad, I'll have the save up today or tomorrow.

Entry 1, Journal of Bokaza, Grand Archivist, for Bootlure archives:

This morning, Ten, fortress archivist approached me and said that my name has been brought to the Baron and that he has decided to make me Major on the marit of being a rare dwarf who is able to write. I asked him what a major actually does, because everyone seems to be doing whatever they want and what does being literate have to do with anything. He answered by saying: 'We should not judge the great wisdom of Syrus Seto.'

I had naught to do but shrug considering how dwarfs that go against his orders end up. He also said that Baron had decided to take the office usually reserved for a major as his own. For some reason, the fortress neglected to make a fitting throne room for him. I asked to see the archives to find out whose fault this is so they could be punished properly. To my own, he said that we weren't keeping records.

The archivist was failing to do his job properly, so I've decided to act as his direct superior from now on, dubbing myself Grand Archivist and removing the redundant title of Mayor from usage.

Furthermore, it seems that our military was rapidly falling in love with iron weaponry. This could not be tolerate. One cannot love inferior equipment, it was unnatural.

My first orders are:

  • Destruction of the Major Title and replacing it with the title of Grand Archivist. Hanceforth, every mayor shall wear the title as to not forget their role as the chief administrators and extensions of, Armok's, King's and Nobles' will.
  • Setting up of a proper throne room, where my office was to be. This will include lava to provide proper light to the room. Furthermore, construction of Lava sewege system must be built to manage the Holy Gift of Armok.
  • Steel industry has been put into full steam to replace the redundant equipment our military has been using.
  • The floor where our Ruler's office and bedroom were located, will be turned into Fortress Archives, with bedrooms, Offices and huge rooms dedicated to preserving history and managing the fortress. Every year, one is to be dug out, smoothed out and engraved with records of the past year.

Alright, as this is an RP server and I suck at short notes, I'll be writing this. If you want notes, check the underlined words for the summery of what I'm doing.

Entry 2, Journal of Bokaza, Grand Archivist, for Bootlure archives:

Spring is over and I have to express disappointment at the speed at which the work is being done, especially concerning the miners. One afternoon, I stambled upon a miner going down to the mining area, when I asked him how work was progressing he said, "Th' St'one 's being moved as we 'speakin'." It knocked me off my feet. For three months, most of dwarfs have been busy hauling stone to the peak of the fortress, to detrement of all other work! They weren't even using wheelbarrows, they were just dragging it to a top of a mountain! I've ordered all stockpiling of stone to be stopped immediatelly.

This has one notable exception. Archivist Ten has advised me that more detail will have to be put into the sewege system, if we are to provide proper lighting for the Baron. Because of this, large amounts of Magma-resistant stone must be dug out and stored for the mechanisms and floodgates. Both the Archivist and the miners have assured me that common stone Orthoclase will do the trick, which we have massive deposits of, located conveniently close to the construction site. As such, a stone stockpile must be kept.

Speaking of the Baron, a 'minor' incident happened during the visit of the elven traders. The elves themselves were less concetrated on the fact that we were selling them old clothes and more so on inspecting every piece of it to make sure no wooden decorations were on them. This annoyed our Broker greatly, and he expressed it to me for every piece of clothing they checked.

Apparently, when the deal was struck and goods were being hauled away, the Elf Diplomat called the Baron a murderer. By Armok! How dare they? Instead of killing the diplomat right on the spot, he ordered most of the elves' goods be seized! They could do naught but sit and cry at this justice, as the fortress guards, clad in Steel and Iron, took a break from their training to make sure they wouldn't complain. We've actually done a good thing, considering rumours of a war between our elven and human trade partners. We might get a discount by stopping trade with the elves and actually help the humans eliminate them if the stinkin' cannibals decide to attack us.

Concerning military, all of our new migrants have been drafted directly into it, since our military has suffered some damage and needs more fresh recuits. Some minor changes to their setup as well. Xandera has been appointed as the new Captain of the Guard as his skill with war hammer is legendary. Most of the recruits have been reset as hammerdwarves to speed up the training under Xander.

Tobul Dodoksedil ((needs dorfing)) has been named as the Fortress Champion as they are the dwarf with most kills among our brave guard. A Hammerer needs to be appointed as well, as the dispensor of Armok's highest justice, pain.

Entry 3, Journal of Bokaza, Grand Archivist, for Bootlure archives:

Another two months in the fortress have passed, and since then, I've been relected as a 'major'. It is the only confirmation I need that I'm doing a good job, not as if these illiterate peasants would noticed. In the meanwhile, I've been busy practicing my stonecarving skills, as writing on parchment and walls is the same.

Our long awaited Human trade partners have arrived, but to horror of everyone involved, the trader said that even if they wanted to, they couldn't get the carts up the mountain, denying us access to valiable resources such as ores, metal and other commodities. Its worthy to note that I haven't been outside for almost half a year, so I didn't really remember what it looked like from the botom, but when I decided to actually see what the problem was, it was obvious; The entire mountain was covered in trees and the entrence to the Depot area was covered in traps!

I've ordered the deforestation of the mountain, top to bottom. If this doesn't piss off the elves, I don't know what will. Fruthermore, a road up the mountain will be construced as well as new entrence to the depot. This entrence should not be covered in traps, not to scare off humans or our brother's from the mountainhomes' cart-oxen. It will be closed with a bridge door and should be kept closed until such time that it is needed.

The Baron said that humans were thankful for intentionally pissing off the elves, because, so far they've been loosing the war. They've actually lost a settlement to them! What a bunch of sodding weaklings!

Thankfully, new migrants arrived and have been immediatelly issued axes and picks to hasten the gantle rape of the mountain. The path must be complited before winter, many trees removed and cliffs cut.

Two new artifacts have been created in the meanwhile, one by a child who was according to some, 'The most childish child'. The artifacts themselves are of little importance because the fortress itself is the greatest artifact, and its survival, will be the grandmasterwork of our and generations to come.

The Baron has prohibited export of leather armor, don't know why, no one wears it anyway.

The metalworks on top of the mountain have been declared another mistake in grand design. It will have to be fixed once the magma sewege system is in motion. Imagine not having half of our workforce pulling ore to the top of the mountain, working metalworks during siege, no sunlight. We could produce bolts faster than we could shoot them!

The lag is getting real, I don't wonna think about what will happen once I get the lava flowing. I've reformated and checked for spelling and factual errors in my post. I apologize if you've actually read that.

Does anyone know how to get Dwarf Therapist working? I can't find or set up a coresponding version.

Entry 4, Journal of Bokaza, Grand Archivist, for Bootlure archives:

Another two months have gone by, and I would like to open this entry with news of great victory. Our brave dwarves smashed the besieging gobin army without casualties. When the gobins came, I ordered everyone to move back inside the fortress for safety. Our traps, siege engines and a bottlenecked hallways would've allowed us to make short work of their army. However, the squad belonging to the Baron decided to neglect the order and went ahead of the force. When I noticed they were missing, I ordered rest of the forces to join the fray. Before the rest of our forces came, Baron and his squad obliterated the goblin army. Only one warrior got hurt, a recruit, still in training among the great weaponlords of our clan.

I am sure Armok smiled upon us that day, as the cliffs of our fair home ran red with blood and intestines of our enemies. I've ordered that all equipment belonging to the goblins is retrived, reused or melted, but to leave their bodies where they fell. If they ever decide to come again, the bones of their brothers and sisters will show them what happens when you butt heads with Bootlure.

Other work is going fast now that we've streamlined the workflow. Most of the minor projects have been almost dug up and completed, even the lava sewege system. All that remains is to dig up a huge reservoir in case we ever wish to drain the lava system and to set up a complicated floodgate system, for which a control room will be created. When it is done, new underground forges we've designed will be in function as well.

The deforestation of the mountain is going slow. It seems that threes are growing faster than they are being cut down. Our engineers have provided me with a solution. They are suggesting we use the massive copper stockpile we've accumulated to reinforce the mountainside. I asked an engineer what exactly that would fix except stopping plant growth, he said it would 'Look pretty, I like copper.' Our miners gave a much more articulated answer. Their two dwarfbucks on this were that the copper plating would allow much more freedom when expanding the fortress, because we wouldn't be limited by how wide the mountain is at the top.

I've made a huge mistake of checking our animal records. It seems we have insane amounts of kittens and fowl. As a result, mass butchering was ordered. We have enough eggs and cats, but we can always use more meat variety. Our forefathers always said that having too many animals angers Armok.

A ghost has risen and has started to haunt our fortress. As per tradition, I've ordered one among many of our slabs to be engraved with the name and memories of the spirit, hoping it would appease it. To my shock, the stonecrafters said they couldn't do it. When I asked where the problem was, since we had almost a hundred slabs in our stockpile, they told me that someone from the previous fortress management decided to engrave hundred and twenty slabs to someone, for a memorial.
