NebulaFlare Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Reporting Personnel: Echo (Serial Number: A-002) Rank of Reporting Personnel: Security Officer Game ID: bP2-bbjD Personnel Involved: - Yahir Jones, Station Engineer: Offender ((Kyres1)) - Mia Parker, Atmospheric Technician: Witness - Mandy Blackwell, Security Officer: Witness - Stewart Klien, (Assistant): Witness - Preston Prestoff, (Visitor): Witness Time of Incident: 06:49 Station Time Real time: 12:26 AM 8/18/2017 PST Location of Incident: Maintenance Tunnels Nature of Incident: [x]Workplace Hazard[]Accident/Injury[x]Destruction of Property[]Neglect of Duty[]Harassment[]Assault[]Misconduct[]Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.)Overview of the Incident: Engineer Yahir Jones stated they would be building a bar in the maintenance tunnels. Assuming this translated to remodeling the abandoned cafeteria, I did not heed it much attention until later in the shift. Officer Blackwell and myself came across Jones (along with a few other crewmembers) in a deconstructed part of the maintenance tunnels on the portside of the station. While speaking to him, I asked how often he actually does these constructions, and stated "Almost every single shift I'm onboard and have spare time. It's kind of ridiculous how much I do it." Asking if anyone's stopped him in the past, he replied, "IAA's gotten onto my ass like, once. Other times they just ignore me. Hell, some even complimented the work." I informed him to at least fill out the paperwork for the construction, otherwise he would have to cease and return the tunnels to normal. He responded that there were no Heads of Staff on board to sign the form anyway, and refused to acknowledge the request. I gave him time to clean up the modifications (as a warning, as opposed to arresting him), then attended to other duties. When I returned to inspect the area, it was completed. He handed a reconstruction form to me - which was filled out, minus a Head of Staff signature. Since there were more pressing issues to attend to, I returned to my other duties instead of instigating an arrest. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: There were no Heads of staff or IAA at the time. Actions taken: I asked Jones to at least ensure that station integrity was not at threat, in case of a breach. He stated that if a breach did occur, firelocks were still in place. He replied he will just leave the doors closed - however, this would have also cut off access to others within maintenance. Additional notes: Access to the Maintenance Bar was granted only to engineers - my security ID did not work. Included are photos of the area modified
