Why is your character carrying said item to work? Due to previous experience in the Sol Navy, Karragan was shot down, and received severe shrapnel wounds and burns all over her face, throat, and upper body. In the process, her face, throat, and lungs were severely mangled. She now requires life support, in the form of a mask feeding oxygen directly into her lungs. While this could be a simple breathing mask, Karragan prefers it to be a full, face covering mask, to conceal her badly burnt and scarred face.

Item function(s): Goes in mask slot, essentially gives life support, both as a character/story thing, and also when she does go into unpressurized regions. It basically is a reskinned gasmask or a breath mask, as it takes oxygen tanks to function.

Item description: It's a full, face covering mask, with a tube that connects to an oxygen tank.

Item appearance: Tactical gasmask, or chameleon mask?

How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? It could be used to show those close to her, as she really doesn't like talking about what happened to her. It could also show past military history. The most likely way it would be used is to both justify her being a mute, and perhaps complicating interactions with other crew members, who will need to put in a bit more effort to get to know her well.
