Fairness and Honor
BYOND Key: Fairness and Honor Character Names: H.E.L.P.E.R. Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Blue Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I view the whitelist applications as things that should be given to people to further the server's roleplaying experience and create interesting scenarios, the ability to take on the position of a being with a different culture and history to humans would accomplish that goal. The Unathi lore has interesting details regarding the past of their society, and it would be fun to explore said lore. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The Unathi and their culture have multiple differences to humans, the most notable ones are the way that they show their emotions, such as thumping their tail against the ground, their strong values and concept of honor, and, obviously, their physical characteristics. The lives of many Unathi have been changed by the Contact War, most notably by the exchange of extremely deadly bomb strikes begun by the Coalition. Character Name: Aekossae Airkoss Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Aekossae was born the son of the leader of his clan on a time of discovery, strange beings from different worlds had estabilished contact with the Unathi and most of the population was suspicious of them. His clan, however, found it more useful to keep researching the past of their people, the younglings were trained to value knowledge and hard work since birth, and one of them was quite different, well, visually. Aekossae's scales were of a blue tone, a rarity among Unathi, one that wasn't considered positive on their culture, said fact was kept hidden from him by his father, who used his status to influence other members of the clan into being positive to the young Unathi. The boy spent the next years of his life facing the stares of disgust of those around him, but he had a dream, and he would complete it. The Izweski announced a new project, a great machine was built to fly toward the skies and further their empire to the next step, space. Members of his clan were sent, determination burning within their souls, they believed that they could do it. It was all a disaster, lives were lost and families were damaged by the invention of the hegemony, enraged members of his clan wept, trying to cope with the great losses. They didn't retaliate because the overwhelming power of the hegemony wwould crush the clan, they knew that a great conflict was about to happen, and it happened. He spent the war with a fear of what would happen, remaining with his clan for the duration of the war. The vast landscapes were destroyed, everything suffered because of the actions of the coalition and the hegemony, artifacts had been destroyed by the weapons and the fauna and flora were also affected by it The Unathi was involved with multiple archaeological operations by the time that the war ended, keeping him busy until he decided to further the clan's exploration to oither planets, he had a great feast with his clan before heading off to a shuttle, being assigned to the station. What do you like about this character? He learned how to deal with the difficulties of his life, eventually picking what he considered the best option to his clan after the events of the contact war. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I'm kind of good, but I tend to make more comical stories rather than serious ones. Notes: None. Link to comment
Guest Marlon Phoenix
Hello! Thank you for your application. You spent so much time asking questions and lost the application twice over the months it's taken you to post this, that I am still in disbelief that I am reading your application with my own two eyes. I strongly believe that your posting the application fufilled some obscure prophecy, and that some unseen entity has awoken to unleash havoc upon all mankind. Your application is generally solid and I do appreciate that your unathi comes from a methodical and thoughtful family of thinkers and learners, portraying the more ponderous side of the unathi species while also tying it to their respect and reverence to their past. Archaeologist unathi tend to be rare but they are always a treat. Application accepted. Link to comment
