  1. Reporting Personnel: Asekzssair Ikszaorassk Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Security Officer Game ID: bXc-cDK4 Personnel Involved: - Mace, Medical Cyborg: Witness - Ayla Brooks, Security Cadet: Witness - Victoria Grey, Security Cadet: Witness - Valery Rogov, Librarian: Witness - Markus Flynch, Station Engineer: Offender Time of Incident: Real time: around 4 PM in the US timezones Location of Incident: Library, Medical, Engineering Nature of Incident: [X]Workplace Hazard [X]Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [X]Neglect of Duty [X]Harassment []Assault [X]Misconduct []Other _____ Overview of the Incident: He threatened to disable the power of research while he was arguing with Bretscher over comms, and I told him to stop but he kept making threats and misusing comms. After that, I went back to patrols, and the librarian reported that some adult books had been stolen from his library. The clues pointed toward Flynch, and we lacked a Warden or HoS, so I requested his permission to search him, which he agreed to. He then began to insult me and call me a lizard when I was removing his bag, which he had allowed me to do. He was then ordered to open the doors, as we were searching for more clues toward his crimes, and he eventually came to the library and began to insult me and say xenophobic slurs, along with calling me by my first name and then harassing me when told to leave. A spider was then reported, and I went to stop it, but, due to the constant harassment in comms and in person as I was walking to research and performing my job, the spider managed to wound me, and he mocked me over comms and laughed despite me being in a near death state, but Mace saved my life. He was not charged for any of his crimes, which were, Misuse of Comms, Gross Negligence, Slander and, if Gross Negligence is too much for threatening researchers with disabling the power of their department, then it was Neglect of Duty. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: Bright, HoP and Sqrlesh Wuib-Xrl, Chief Engineer Actions taken: His crimes meant that we were going to arrest him, but the harassment, the slander and the xenophobia which he spoke to me damaged my mental state and led to me attacking a spider in rage instead of planning against the spider. He then laughed over comms and slandered me, but a robot saved my life and did heart surgery on me to heal me from the injuries taken in the fight. Additional Notes: The attitude exhibited by him in multiple shifts show that he is unfit for working here, and should be demoted. He has commited multiple medium severity crimes, but I was not able to put them in his records before the transfer.
  2. -1 since not optional, some people want to keep old ui since it lets you read while you do stuff
  3. BYOND Key: Fairness and Honor Total Ban Length: don't know Banning staff member's Key: Alberyk Reason of Ban: fell asleep while playing security for second time and was ssd for 1 hour Reason for Appeal: I'm appealing because the reason of the ban is me falling asleep on one round, which I understand is wrong. I'll cease from playing non-visitor roles while I feel sleepy. My sleep schedule is messed up and I had to wake up on some hours so I went off to bed and tried to sleep about 30 minutes so I don't spend the day extremely tired, ended up sleeping for much more time instead and my character was ssd for 1 hour. I'm ok with lowering this from permanent to temporary if it is permanent, which I don't know. This is my second time falling asleep as sec and first one was like 5 months ago. Disregard this if the ban duration is really short like 1 day or hours. note that the stuff I mentioned about getting another sec to torture a ling was on the round before that and I was a ling and said guy agreed to it since he was a ling and wanted to escape via morgue but got chloral'd.
  4. Not broken. You didn't take care of yourself, letting yourself get a popped lung. Oxygen deprivation damages the brain, just like real life. TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHARACTERS. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS IN GAME. YOU. CAN. GET. HURT. It takes just a few minutes to diagnose and treat multiple traumas. Next time - remember proper internals bb A single popped lung only causes trouble breathing on real life, and shouldn't make you go on a coma because medbay didn't treat you for a few minutes.
  5. I support this suggestion, dionae are capable of feeling emotions and sympathizing with other beings, it is just differently. A well-trained tree can manage crewmembers as shown by diona RDs, CMOs and CEs
  6. This mechanic is broken. My character got a popped lung and went to the medbay, he fell into unconsciouness from the oxygen damage (it seems like popped lungs have been buffed for some reason, even though a single popped lung only causes some difficulty breathing irl), and they took him to surgery, I spent most of the round unconscious waiting for them to finish the surgery and my character fell on some kind of coma, when he woke up, he had several traumas and was unable to talk correctly. (even though they did surgery)
  7. The medical map needs to be reverted, old medical had a much more spacious feeling and it was easier to get from a area to another, it was also connected to the holodeck so you could get emergencies easier, it is now very hard for diona medics as they take a long time to get from one part of the medbay to another
  8. I do not support this suggestion because it will make my robusting techniques weaker because it will reinforce not using help when walking, and staying on disarm will provide defensive buffs which makes disarm spamming even better. I would support it if the stat changes were balanced a bit and there was some system for fighting multiple foes/someone coming from other directions.
  9. I think that this should be implemented differently, probably as a menu that shows who actually readied for a gamemode so people can't delay crossfire by unreadying from it even though they voted, it could be considered breaking the "don't be a dick" rule to do that, or even griefing.
  10. Think from a IC point, we had already completed our goal, which is a definition if winning, our characters wouldn't come back and risk their lives against both ert, durands and mercs just because players wanted more interaction.
  11. Hello, I played one of the raiders on that round. It is not our fault for not being met with conflict or action from the crew while performing our antagonistic actions, we attempted to negotiate for the first minutes but Jack killed the captain, ERT was then called and there was not much reason to stay since we already had everything that we needed, and pretending that the captain was alive to negotiate would just give them more time to find us. Remember that roleplaying is made of forming a believable story with conflicts, not acting irrationaly to interact more with the crew even though you have already won.
  12. I do not think that this is good for the server, allowing erp breaks realism and admins shouldn't distance themselves from the community by adding something inbetween unless it is for IC things. nominating myself if this isn't a joke
  13. The seven nymphs disagreed with the actions of the gestalt because of the genes that they had collected, said gestalt tended to send workers away to get information due to the fact that the gestalt spent most of it's time on space, so the nymphs had gained the view that there were better ways to get knowledge (getting blood, getting genetic samples). 2. The gestalt actually got a few samples from qualified doctors, but I can make it start out as a intern EDIT: are sleepy's words still valid even though he isnt the loredev anymore? He said that nymphs breaking away from a gestalt is a possibilities. I can make it so the nymphs just happened to be flung away too far to join back into the gestalt if sleepy's words don't count anymore.
  14. My general concept of this would be different, a player would be allowed to have one character with psionic sensivity, which allows them to sense other psions, their abilities can increase to small levels when distressed, so a injured psion could do something like slam a person to a wall at the cost of feeling great pain and being weakened, people who have "awakened" their psionic powers by being on a situation of distress are tracked by research and catalogued, they can also be part of research that lets them use their psionic powers without side effects, BUT ONLY FOR THE ROUND, all sensitive characters can only sense across rounds, awakening it is round only and doesn't transfer. Skrell would be able to sense the emotions of other people (their intent) without awakening their psionic powers. There could also be a command role that needs a whitelist that can use psionic powers without awakening them and without bad effects, their psionic abilities would be mostly things like getting a message when someone dies or when the cult uses runes, or inducing feelings on other characters.
  15. BYOND Key: Fairness and Honor Character Names: Aekossae Airkoss, Ikaei Assori, H.E.L.P.E.R. Species you are applying to play: Tree What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): it is a tree Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I've had a thought about my previous characters for quite a while, they are always a reflection of my own personality, therefore tend to be blunt with their words, so why not try something new? The diona seemed the right choice, although they are not all peaceful, they fit that type of character well. Another thing that made me want to apply is how alien they are, being a group of beings helping eachother as one to gain more knowledge. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: A diona is a single creature of plant-like appearance covered by a bark-like armor, but that is only one of them. They join together, forming bigger and bigger creatures, all of which can feed on nearly any kind of energy, including light, said groups of creature tend to be slower, both talking and moving, than their smaller friends. The trees lack a government, instead drifting across the stars seeking for more knowledge, which, while normally only a matter of asking civilizations for genes, can sometimes get violent, they are capable of absorbing other beings, there are reports of groups of diona who attack ships. Character Name: We Roam The Stars Seeking To Heal Open Wounds Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphsThere was the ship, roaming across space, sent by the Alliance on a diplomatic mission with the Hegemony, it was equipped with amazing technologies. A small signal began to rise upon the ship, but they did not know what it was, they did not know where it came from, it was just there on the radar, blinking, rising. They knew that there was something there, but what was it? Shadows crept across the ship, darkening their view, it was only then that they noticed it. Senseless shrieking and creaking was heard as a massive creature appeared on the windows, it looked like many beings fused into one, tendrils ripping into the walls as the crew ran into the escape pods, it didn't take much for the creature to destroy most of the ship. Everything seemed to freeze, a flash of bright light blinding us, what had happened? Had we separated from the gestalt? We did not know, until we regained our senses as our bodies recovered, pieces of the gestalt were spread across the area, along with the damaged ship, we could go back to the gestalt, but we were already sick of their actions, we valued life, but they destroyed it for knowledge, we joined together, roaming across space for hours, no, days. The seven of us noticed that we were moving toward a planet, most of it's surface covered by sands, it didn't take long until we were pulled into the atmosphere, our bodies surrounded by flames as it ripped us apart, but we wouldn't die, we resisted, we fought, until we felt our bodies falling against the sands, covered by wounds. It took some days for us to recover from our wounds, eventually realizing that we were on a vast ocean of dunes, no signs of civilization nearby. It looked like we were bound to roam that place endlessly, so we wandered, it had plenty of resources to sustain us for a while, what we saw was truly amazing, a small village full of lizard-like creatures, they were initially frightened by our appearance, but soon began to relate us with their god, the one that was called Sk'akh, we fed on the radiation there, allowing us to survive our injuries. They seemed to be happy about that, as radiation was probably harmful to them, we requested a sample of their blood, and they allowed us. A new world was open, full of knowledge, we now knew the basics of what they called medicine. A group of men approached us on the night, carrying flags with pride, they talked on a serious tone, stating that they were part of some kind of hegemony and wanted to take us for research, we accepted their requested, although reluctantly, for they didn't seem to be like the rest. The gestalt walked the fastest that it could to the inside of that metal thing, it looked bulky and armored, the machine roaring to life as it moved across the dunes, there was life on that land, grass spread across the ground and strange buildings everywhere, they placed the seven of us on some kind of white cell, examining us with a series of machines before releasing us near some kind of shuttle, we walked in, the thrusters humming to life as it flew into the skies, landing on a massive city, it was filled with ape-like beings who called themselves humans. A man who worked on a hospital noticed our habit of staying near the hospital observing them treat other beings, it was truly interesting, they treated any kinds of ilnesses or wounds with strange machines, he spoke with us, allowing us to live in there and watch them work, and we eventually decided that we had to repay for the acts of our previous gestalt by healing people, and gave the doctors a warm goodbye with hopes to return to them soon, taking a shuttle to work on a research station where we spent some years going through a learning process, eventually getting the position of medical doctor. What do you like about this character? He is my attempt to play a more peaceful character and change myself by doing that, and I like the concept of a wise ancient character who follows the hippocratic oath and helps people because he wants to help, not to earn money, I also like the fact that I can explore the different nymphs of the gestalt and their interactions. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I'm average and can immerse myself on my characters, but can sometimes let things that happen IC make me salty, and would like to change that. Notes: Please, tell me how I can change if you -1 it so I can improve the application.
  16. Reporting Personnel: Ikaei Asorri Rank of Reporting Personnel:Engineering Apprentice Game ID: bSp-aznk Personnel Involved: - Ikaei Asorri (Reporting) - Biel Franke (Offender) Time of Incident: Real time: 2 AM Location of Incident: On the crew transfer Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment [x]Assault [x]Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: The HoP assigned me the role of bouncer due to the high number of bar fights on the shift and gave me a flash, I performed my job well until everyone went to arrivals, the bartender was carrying a shotgun and tried to assault the CE with it, which led to me flashing the bartender and pinning him down to the ground, security then cuffed him and took him to the shuttle brig. The offender then threatened me with a arrest for light assault, which I questioned why because I didn't commit crimes, he then flashed me and cuffed me, dragging me away to the brig without saying anything. I was then thrown on some kind of bed, where he provoked and insulted me. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: The HoP wasn't on the shuttle, and I couldn't report it as they were constantly harming me with their security tools. Actions taken: No action was taken against him
  17. [BYOND Key: Fairness and Honor Total Ban Length: Permanent jobban Banning staff member's Key: I don't know who applied that ban. Reason of Ban: Being a general shitcurity. Reason for Appeal: I didn't really know how to properly follow the regulations and play believable officers back then, I think that I've improved and plan on making a detective. These are the main reasons why I should be unbanned, I don't have any kinds of opposing arguments against the ban as it was fair and I actually deserved it.
  18. Make the archaeology oxygen tanks have more air, the airlocks there stop working because of the lack of air.
  19. Your character doesn't seem like one who would fit the position of a command role, she seems to prefer specific people and refuse to give treatment to those who she doesn't relate a lot which, proved by when you left my character, who was coughing up blood and critted, laying on a bed without any vaccines but helped those who were on a far better condition than my character, you also disobeyed the CMO who was telling you to give me the vaccine. -1 EDIT: I was kind of salty when making this, but the point still stands, you didn't follow the CMO's commands to give me the vaccine for one of the strains of the virus, I don't know if out of confusion or actual desire to do so, but you need to learn a bit more virology and play more and you will be the kind of player that would make a good head.
  20. BYOND Key: Fairness and Honor Character Names: H.E.L.P.E.R. Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Blue Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I view the whitelist applications as things that should be given to people to further the server's roleplaying experience and create interesting scenarios, the ability to take on the position of a being with a different culture and history to humans would accomplish that goal. The Unathi lore has interesting details regarding the past of their society, and it would be fun to explore said lore. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The Unathi and their culture have multiple differences to humans, the most notable ones are the way that they show their emotions, such as thumping their tail against the ground, their strong values and concept of honor, and, obviously, their physical characteristics. The lives of many Unathi have been changed by the Contact War, most notably by the exchange of extremely deadly bomb strikes begun by the Coalition. Character Name: Aekossae Airkoss Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Aekossae was born the son of the leader of his clan on a time of discovery, strange beings from different worlds had estabilished contact with the Unathi and most of the population was suspicious of them. His clan, however, found it more useful to keep researching the past of their people, the younglings were trained to value knowledge and hard work since birth, and one of them was quite different, well, visually. Aekossae's scales were of a blue tone, a rarity among Unathi, one that wasn't considered positive on their culture, said fact was kept hidden from him by his father, who used his status to influence other members of the clan into being positive to the young Unathi. The boy spent the next years of his life facing the stares of disgust of those around him, but he had a dream, and he would complete it. The Izweski announced a new project, a great machine was built to fly toward the skies and further their empire to the next step, space. Members of his clan were sent, determination burning within their souls, they believed that they could do it. It was all a disaster, lives were lost and families were damaged by the invention of the hegemony, enraged members of his clan wept, trying to cope with the great losses. They didn't retaliate because the overwhelming power of the hegemony wwould crush the clan, they knew that a great conflict was about to happen, and it happened. He spent the war with a fear of what would happen, remaining with his clan for the duration of the war. The vast landscapes were destroyed, everything suffered because of the actions of the coalition and the hegemony, artifacts had been destroyed by the weapons and the fauna and flora were also affected by it The Unathi was involved with multiple archaeological operations by the time that the war ended, keeping him busy until he decided to further the clan's exploration to oither planets, he had a great feast with his clan before heading off to a shuttle, being assigned to the station. What do you like about this character? He learned how to deal with the difficulties of his life, eventually picking what he considered the best option to his clan after the events of the contact war. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I'm kind of good, but I tend to make more comical stories rather than serious ones. Notes: None.
