Overview of the Incident: Much of the strength of this report comes in the form of photographic evidence and transcripts of the interrogations of both offenders. Being synthetic, speaking in Encoded Audio Language during interrogation assisted ODIN, Fox, VAO and myself in sharing theories and lines of thought under the suspect's nose.

Exhibit One: Interrogation of N. Abbasi

[00:00] Recording started.

[00:02] Noir says, "This is Detective Noir and Cadet ODIN with interrogation one of case one, dubbed the 'It Takes Deus to Tango'."

[00:08] Noir says, "Please state your name for the recorder."

[00:13] Nasser Abbasi says, "My main job here is as a detective, So the fact that I'm gettin pinned for this i-"

[00:20] Nasser Abbasi says, "Nasser Muhammed Abbasi."

[00:37] Noir says, "Mister Abbasi. Please describe how you came across the ambrosia deus."

[01:03] Nasser Abbasi says, "Well, I went into the tunnel behind uhhh. I think it was medical, between your office and medbay, Yea."

[01:21] Nasser Abbasi says, "And as everyone does..I snooped in some boxs."

[01:39] Noir softly, "First discrepancy detected. I was the first to go through that part of maintenance."

[01:40] ODIN asks, "Can you describe the closest entry point into that maintenance tunnel from the main hallways, Mr. Abbasi?"

[01:59] Nasser Abbasi says, "Can I describe it? Sure."

[02:00] ODIN beeps, "So someone put it there."

[02:12] ODIN beeps, "We need to find out when he did, and which box."

[02:13] Nasser Abbasi says, "If you walk past his office there is a grey and yellow door."

[02:37] ODIN asks, "Alright then. Mr. Abbasi, what time in the shift was it when you looked into the box?"

[02:39] Nasser Abbasi says, "If you enter that you can walk down and to the left I think to enter the detectives office. I found it more towards the right of that area."

[02:52] Nasser Abbasi says, "It was pretty early, Thats why I was so shocked. Maybe..."

[02:55] Noir asks, "From whom?"

[03:04] Nasser Abbasi asks, "Quarter of an hour in?"

[03:19] ODIN beeps, "I believe you would have been there before that?"

[03:22] Noir asks, "Curious. And what did you do with the ambrosia afterwards?"

[03:25] Noir beeps, "Indeed."

[03:55] Nasser Abbasi says, "Well, I put it in a box, Shoved said box into my backpack and returned to my office to flush it down the pipes. I then went to the crusher and started it."

[04:04] Nasser Abbasi says, "I thought the box was in the crusher."

[04:23] Nasser Abbasi asks, "Can you give me a light?"

[04:29] Noir says, "You did not report your findings to Security? That is awfully suspicious."

[04:44] Nasser Abbasi says, "No, Because I thought it was destroyed."

[04:51] Nasser Abbasi says, "Like I said, I'll take a drugtest."

[05:05] Noir asks, "Did you not say you were employed as a detective regularly, mister Abbasi?"

[05:12] Nasser Abbasi says, "Yes, I am."

[05:18] Noir says, "You of all people should know that contraband should be reported to security rather than wordlessly destroyed."

[05:45] Nasser Abbasi says, "I do understand that, But human error is a thing."

[05:50] ODIN asks, "Mr. Abbasi, were there any other boxes or crates in the area? If there was, can you identify which box you took the Deus from?"

[05:52] Noir asks, "Miss Fox, can you bring the fingerprint results for the ambrosia to interrogation?"

[05:58] Nasser Abbasi says, "Probably."

[06:08] ODIN asks, "From memory, which one?"

[06:31] Nasser Abbasi says, "Woah bud, Like I said. It was pretty early in the shift."

[06:33] ODIN beeps, "We can get some more prints off of the boxes/crates in the area."

[07:45] ODIN asks, "Mr. Abbasi, do you know where you found the Deus or not?"

[07:58] Nasser Abbasi says, "If I went back to the location it was found, I could point it out to you."

[08:16] ODIN beeps, "You continue, getting nowhere with this line of questioning."

[08:20] Nasser Abbasi says, "But can I tell you from memory? No."

[08:41] Noir asks, "Mister Abbasi, what is your relationship with Tori Eckhardstein?"

[08:44] Nasser Abbasi says, "Like I said, It was real early in the shift and I had basiclly already forgot."

[08:49] Nasser Abbasi says, "She is a co-worker."

[09:00] Noir beeps softly.

[09:13] Noir asks, "Would you care to explain why her prints are on the recovered narcotics as well?"

[09:30] Nasser Abbasi says, "...Beacuse I showed them to her before thowing them down the trash."

[09:38] Noir says, "Odd."

[09:42] Nasser Abbasi says, "Like "hey I found this? Aint it neat?""

[09:46] ODIN beeps, "Where was the disposal chute?"

[09:47] Noir says, "You did not mention that before hand."

[09:58] Nasser Abbasi says, "Beacuse It's irrlevent. I'm the one taking a charge here."

[10:19] Noir says, "Nothing is irrelevant, Mister Abbasi."

[10:26] ODIN beeps, "Noir?"

[10:31] Noir beeps, "One moment."

[10:33] Noir beeps, "Onto something."

[10:41] Noir says, "Here is the story as I understand it so far."

[10:44] Nasser Abbasi says, "Ok. Well take this into account. I am islamic... Not a very good one, I drink and smoke. But drugs are even alittle too haram for me."

[11:17] Noir says, "A quarter of an hour into the shift, you found the ambrosia deus in maintenance between this unit's office and medical."

[11:44] Noir says, "Without informing security, you personally handled contraband, contaminating it, and proceeded to take it all the way to your office to dispose of it, but not before showing it to your coworker."

[12:07] Nasser Abbasi says, "Yeah, Pretty much."

[12:14] Nasser Abbasi says, "Like I said, Human error."

[12:17] Noir says, "Then you put it in the disposals chute, and claimed to have flushed the box, when in fact a search revealed the narcotics themselves, rather than a box."

[12:27] ODIN beeps, "He didn't put it in a trash bag, Noir. He specifically said he put it in a box, which wasn't at the scene."

[12:30] Nasser Abbasi asks, "Wait what?"

[12:43] Noir says, "There was no box, Mister Abbasi."

[12:45] Nasser Abbasi says, "Go scan my door then, Beacuse I put that shit in a box."

[13:00] ODIN asks, "Mr. Abbasi, what kind of janitorial equipment do you have?"

[13:07] Nasser Abbasi asks, "On me at this time?"

[13:13] ODIN says, "No, in general."

[13:20] Nasser Abbasi says, "Hmm,"

[13:28] Nasser Abbasi says, "Cleaner, Signs, Mop. You know."

[13:51] Noir asks, "Trash bags?"

[13:58] Nasser Abbasi says, "I do have trashbags, Yes."

[14:04] ODIN asks, "For putting things that go into disposals?"

[14:20] Nasser Abbasi says, "Yes. That is true."

[14:20] ODIN asks, "Instead of a box, which you did not put the Ambrosia Deus in?"

[14:47] Nasser Abbasi says, "Like I said, Human error."

[15:17] Nasser Abbasi says, "But I'm telling you, I don't want anything to do with drugs. That's one thing that was beat into me as a kid."

[15:19] ODIN beeps, "Too slow."

[15:25] Nasser Abbasi says, "If you do drugs you go to hell and die."

[15:36] Noir says, "But you will gladly drink alcohol to the point of vomiting."

[15:53] Nasser Abbasi says, "Well. My father and mother drinked."

[16:02] Nasser Abbasi says, "It's the family sport! Haha."

[16:40] ODIN beeps, "Ask him if he knows where the Cargo Tech was during the time he picked up the Deus."

[16:50] Nasser Abbasi says, "And I pray every night to be a better muslim. But I have my vices."

[17:33] Noir asks, "Where was the cargo technician, Eckhardt, when the ambrosia was found?"

[18:00] Nasser Abbasi says, "I'd assume if you checked my PDA. You would know that said person was in the warehouse working."

[18:15] Nasser Abbasi says, "I asked them to open the back maintdoor. To show them said drug."

[18:43] Noir tilts it's head to the side, "And what was this shipment you received earlier?"

[18:49] Nasser Abbasi says, "No no no."

[19:06] Nasser Abbasi says, "That had a clown mask, Binoculors and janatorial supplys in it."

[19:55] ODIN beeps, "There are two possibilities as I see it: One: You missed the drugs on your sweep or he narrowly got them before you. Two: The shipment."

[20:09] Nasser Abbasi yells, "I mean shit, I even played wally bear and the no drug gang as a kid....This is unreal!"

[20:51] Noir says, "Mister Abbasi, this unit swept maintenance within the first five minutes of this shift, the area in which you described finding the narcotics in the first two."

[21:17] Nasser Abbasi asks, "Are you saying there is zero chance that someone placed said narcotics after said sweet?"

[21:33] ODIN says, "Drugs don't grow in ten minutes, Mr. Abbasi."

[21:36] Nasser Abbasi says, "Sweap. Even."

[21:44] Noir says, "If they placed them there after the sweep, we would have found their fibers or prints on them."

[21:55] Noir says, "The only two traces we found was from you and Miss Eckhardt."

[22:07] Nasser Abbasi says, "I'm telling you what happened."

[22:12] ODIN asks, "Mr. Abbasi, why do you need janitorial supplies as the first janitor on shift?"

[22:23] Nasser Abbasi asks, "Have you ever worked in cargo?"

[22:33] mouse (247) (Jackson) asks, "Squeek?"

[22:39] ODIN beeps, "It's the shipment."

[22:50] Noir asks, "And who gave you the shipment?"

[22:54] Nasser Abbasi says, "The 'house in cargo is FULL of shit. Most techs pack it up and send it out."

[23:24] Nasser Abbasi says, "Uhhhh. That lady whos prints are on the drugs as well. But she is a cargo tech. It's her job to send me that."

[23:35] Nasser Abbasi says, "That being supplys."

[24:22] Nasser Abbasi says, "Would I still be fighting this if i was guilty? I'd already be out of here if I was gulity."

[24:33] Noir beeps, "This unit believes we may be getting nowhere with this. We can still get Eckhardt, however."

[24:44] Noir beeps, "We can wrap this up and have him show us where he claims to have found the deus."

[25:04] ODIN beeps, "Here is my claim: "Full of random stuff, right? So Ambrosia Deus turns up, hypothetically, and the Cargo Tech shows you as you come in. You take the Deus, and stash it in the disposal chute where nobody would look. You had the deus on hand, and you didn't put it in a trash bag or box, and you turned the waste pump off. Cargo Technicians do not have access to the Janitorial Closet.""

[25:35] Noir beeps, "Cargo can remotely send things through disposal chutes."

[25:47] ODIN beeps, "But they have to be wrapped."

[25:54] Noir beeps, "I believe there is not much information we can squeeze from him."

[26:05] ODIN beeps, "No, my story is kinda pretty bad."

[26:14] Noir asks, "Mister Abbasi, is there anything you would like to add to the record?"

[26:21] ODIN beeps, "Think we talk to Eckhardt."

[26:44] Nasser Abbasi says, "Yeah. I had some human error. But I should not be charged for it. I thought I destroyed the substance."

[27:04] mouse (247) (Jackson) exclaims, "Squeek!"

[27:09] Nasser Abbasi asks, "And are you SURE it was NOT in a box?"

[27:09] Noir says, "Hopefully this will be a lesson in informing security of any contraband you come across."

[27:14] Noir says, "We are certain."

[27:22] Noir says, "Concluding interrogation one of case one."

[27:24] Recording stopped.

Exhibit Two: Ambrosia Deus

Exhibit Three: The Alleged Pick-up Location

d45842decd9603a484d4eb749855f872.pngNote that the 'box' is, in fact, not a box as Mister Abbasi said but a rack. Also take note that the puddle of oil was fresh and undisturbed until Mister Abbasi showed us to the location.

Exhibit Four: Interrogation of T. Eckhardstein

[00:00] Recording started.

[00:02] Noir says, "This is Detective Noir and Cadet ODIN with interrogation two of case one. Please state your name for the recorder."

[00:14] ODIN beeps, "VAO, you can watch in the room to our north."

[00:25] Noir beeps, "VAO can stay."

[00:26] VAO states, "Aware."

[00:29] Tori Eckhardstein says, "Lets see..I'm Tori Eckhardstein."

[00:39] ODIN says, "Good to meet'cha, Tor."

[00:45] Noir asks, "Miss Eckhardstein, what is your relation with Mister Abbasi?"

[01:12] Tori Eckhardstein says, "Oh, a former co-worker, I'd say we're good frineds."

[01:26] Noir says, "Let us cut to the chase, Miss Eckhardstein."

[01:31] Tori Eckhardstein says, "Friends, rather"

[01:34] Noir says, "Mister Abbasi was found in possession of ambrosia deus, a potent narcotic."

[01:36] Tori Eckhardstein says, "Sure, sure."

[01:43] Noir says, "Those two buds were found to have your prints on them."

[02:03] Tori Eckhardstein says, "They were in the Warehouse."

[02:18] Noir asks, "Indeed?"

[02:27] ODIN beeps, "Busted."

[02:33] Noir beeps, "It seems we have it."

[02:39] ODIN beeps, "I called it."

[02:44] ODIN beeps, "You owe me."

[02:45] Tori Eckhardstein says, "I ndeeed."

[02:46] Noir asks, "And you gave them to Mister Abbasi?"

[02:57] VAO states, "Gambling noted."

[03:08] Tori Eckhardstein says, "I put them in a crate and sent them to the janitor's closet."

[03:09] ODIN beeps, "DAMN STRAIGHT."

[03:13] Noir asks, "Why?"

[03:32] Tori Eckhardstein says, "I didn't know they were illegal drugs."

[03:47] Tori Eckhardstein says, "Just thought it was normal, they were just sitting there in the Warehouse"

[03:50] ODIN says, "Highly serious narcotics, Miss Eckhardstein."

[03:50] Noir asks, "But you gave them to the janitor despite not knowing what they were?"

[04:10] ODIN says, "Take a step back for a second."

[04:20] ODIN asks, "Why did you give the Janitor the drugs?"

[04:24] ODIN asks, "Or specifically, Mister Abbasi?"

[04:44] Tori Eckhardstein says, "I thought they could use them somehow, we worked together last shift."

[05:01] Tori Eckhardstein says, "It was kind of a joke, but now I see how bad it is."

[05:03] Noir beeps, "Not a very water-tight alibi."

[05:17] ODIN asks, "Did he give any info on what he'd use them for?"

[05:26] Tori Eckhardstein says, "Nope."

[05:48] Noir beeps, "I believe we have what information we need."

[06:01] Noir beeps, "She has been compliant. Let us not charge her with anything, despite her weak alibi."

[06:06] Noir beeps, "I will note this in an incident report."

[06:06] ODIN beeps, "Indeed."

[06:14] VAO states, "Confirmed."

[06:23] Noir asks, "Miss Eckhardstein, is there anything you would like to add to the record?"

[06:41] Tori Eckhardstein says, "I think that's it."

[06:46] Noir says, "Very well."

[06:56] Noir says, "Concluding interrogation two of case one, dubbed 'It Takes Deus to Tango'."

[06:57] ODIN says, "Thank you for your time, Miss Eckhardstein."

[07:02] Recording stopped.

An officer was called to the janitorial closet by the AI to check a disposals bin. Upon ejecting the unflushed contents, the officer found ambrosia deus, a dangerous, highly effective narcotic. While this search was technically illegal, as it was done without a warrant on code green, the evidence gathered from the search is still valid to an investigation. While it is true that under federal law, any evidence and information gleaned via illegal means by law enforcement personnel is automatically rendered invalid in a court of law, corporate law holds no such provisions.

The janitor, Nasser Abbasi, was brought in to interrogation after being charged with contraband possession. Mister Abbasi claimed multiple times to be a practicing member of the Islamic faith, albeit of his own admission a "not very good one". He maintained, however, that the usage of narcotics was one thing he was strongly against due to his faith despite his penchant for alcohol. This unit almost notes wryly that he did not mention anything at all about distributing the narcotics for profit, as neither of the ambrosia had shown signs of being used and while slightly inebriated at the bar before he was brought in, Mister Abbasi was not shown to be under the influence of narcotic substances. Mister Abbasi alleged that around a quarter of the shift's first hour he had stumbled upon the narcotics in the maintenance tunnel behind the Head of Personnel's office. This unit already knew that information to most likely be wrong, however, as I had already checked that area in the first five minutes of the shift for contraband items and had found nothing in that area, and while it is possible someone planted it there later on, the only forensic traces we could glean from the narcotics were Mister Abbasi's fibers and Miss Eckhardstein's prints.

Mister Abbasi alleged that he had placed the narcotics into a box (not with a trash bag, as would have made logical sense) and took the ambrosia deus, without bothering to inform Security of his find, took the narcotics all the way from that part of maintenance all the way back to his closet on the main level, where he proceeded to dump the box in the disposals bin rather than use one of the many other bins readily available in the area he found the narcotics in. He then claims he went to the crusher and, thinking the box was there, turned on the crusher. When he learned that Detective Fox had discovered the fingerprints of Miss Eckhardstein on the ambrosia buds, he immediately claimed that he had gone out of his way to show her the ambrosia deus, and when pressed claimed he did not think the information 'relevant' when first explaining his story. Do note that he claims to be regularly employed as a detective, and should know that information such as this is, in fact, very relevant to an investigation.

Finding that no more information could be gleaned from him, and that his time on his cell had expired, we had Mister Abbasi showed us to where he claimed to have found the ambrosia deus. The area in question had an undisturbed, fresh puddle of oil and a rack rather than the "box" he said he found them in.

With Mister Abbasi out of the way, we took Tori Eckhardstein to the Brig to question on her whereabouts. Miss Eckhardstein was compliant and provided the answers that the investigative team already deduced without needing to be pressed too hard. Miss Eckhardstein revealed that the ambrosia buds, in fact, came from the cargo warehouse. Claiming to have not known what they were, she sent them to the janitor for some unexplained reason, other than the fact that they were "close friends" (when pressed about the relationship regarding him and Eckhardstein, Mister Abbasi claimed no such thing, and simply called each other co-workers).

From cross-referencing the two interrogations and picking apart the holes in Mister Abbasi, we discovered that:

[*]Mister Abbasi had either grown the ambrosia deus himself or found it somewhere other than where he claimed them to have found them, or had been given them. The latter was deemed the most likely, and from the cargo technician's prints on them, we deduced that he had received them from Miss Eckhardstein in the cargo warehouse, who later confirmed our deduction.

[*]The area Mister Abbasi lead us to was undisturbed the entire shift, further catching him in the outright lie he told investigators.

[*]Mister Abbasi did not clarify on the relationship he and Miss Eckhardstein had, but the latter claimed the two were "close friends".

[*]Mister Abbasi, despite claiming to be hired as a detective himself frequently, did not report his findings to security and instead claimed he decided to take it upon himself to "dispose" of the ambrosia deus personally, potentially covering up a potential investigation.

All of these facts point towards the conclusion that Miss Eckhardstein willingly distributed highly-effective hallucinogens to Nasser Abbasi, who planned to keep them for himself in order to sell. In his own words, using them would have been "haram", but he did not state selling them would have been.

Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?:

Actions taken: This unit launched a full scale investigation into the matter as soon as it was brought to my attention. Mister Abbasi was detained on contraband charges, while we decided there was not enough time remaining in the shift to properly charge Miss Eckhardstein, and noted her compliance during her questioning, and let her go despite a weak alibi. We have instead included her in this report as a minor offender, as ambrosia deus and it's legal status is widely known.
