If other, replace line and specify.)Overview of the Incident: A mess of blood and guts of unknown origin was sighted on surface level by the south elevator. I secured the scene without major incident, although I did make a few blood tracks which I later had removed to restore the original crime scene. A Forensic specialist was not on duty, so I called up the detective, cautioning him explicitly to use the north elevator to maintain crime scene integrity. It should be noted there was police tape on all sides, including the south elevator doorway. The detective arrived on the south elevator, walked through a puddle of wet blood, turned left and walked out of the now ruined incident scene, as if it were not there- despite being well marked. I stopped him and expressed my confusion and dismay, and he replied I had no business telling him his job, walked away. I never saw him for the rest of that shift. With it blocking a high-traffic area, I had the blood cleaned up and took the tape down. However, I first took pictures of the scene and later was able to give them to a recently arrived Technician, Dick Johnson. He expressed frustration at the situation and the detective's negligence. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?:No, other situations kept me busy the remainder of his time before entering storage, which I can elaborate on if needed.Actions taken: See above
