1. For the majority of this rework, I'm a big fan. I've always loved the idea of mechs in SS13, even if I, sadly, rarely see them roaming the halls anymore. Anything that can bring mechs into the light again, I'm a fan of. My only qualm goes hand-in-hand with what Fowl said. I don't believe Mechs are completely obsolete, they do have their place as Kyres argued, but the newest mech being introduced, the scout, 'Hermes', as I've seen it called in the files, is going to be weaker than a standard mech. But how weak is weaker? Like, it can be defeated by a toolbox or a few laser blasts, weak? Otherwise giant +1 for me, this is awesome. Edit; As a side note I'd kill to see a slightly stronger variant of the Hermes, like a light scout suit added to the ERT/TCFL/Merc/Raider base.
2. Well, Chunley is a buddy of my characters, a pretty good friend, so I've had enough time to get to know their character a fair bit. While I typically roll my eyes and groan at Sol-related items, a beret doesn't really seem that bad, especially when it's not even hers, but simply a piece of her past she brought with her to a strange and foreign place. I think it would make a good set piece for her, something small but unique, so I gib +1
3. I think on these terms, it makes sense. I just couldn't imagine the company hiring someone who's a reserve in the Sol military, on a station in a place were Sol is typically looked down upon heavily. So, yeah, if it was strictly visitor only, and their character actually wasn't working anymore, it seems acceptable and believable.
4. Oh, you were the Security Officer who went off to hang out with some guy with no ID in a Sol uniform in the bar for a good half-ish hour and then cryo'd. Yeah, no, I don't see the point in wearing Sol dress uniforms on a Tau-Ceti Station, not in the current political climate. So many people do this, and it's honestly getting a little old. This also seems a bit strange, considering your character just recently decided to join? What about training? What about actually being deployed? Wouldn't this character then vanish from the station for some time to train/deploy? If you were a veteran you know, maybe. But wanting dress garbs because a buddy told you about a special group of orbital assault marines in Sol? Unless I'm reading that wrong, it sounds like you literally just recently joined.
5. I just got a screenshot of the original Fax sent by the HoP. Included below.
6. Fore note - While I do, personally, have my own grievances with how XanderDox plays a Captain, I have no issue with the player themselves. I was asked to represent this report, and I did so because I believed this round had legitimate cause to begin an investigation towards Dox as a player. With that stated, onto the report. BYOND Key: CrimsonAerospace Game ID: bRA-aG0U Player Byond Key: XanderDox Staff involved: N/A Reason for complaint: XanderDox, playing Captain Eleanor Shen, acted rather high-minded as a Captain, showed some serious incompetence and "God complex" during this round, causing a spree of murders to get pushed to the back burner as Security had to handle the arrest of a HoP who attempted to report the Captain to the Odin for Sedition, supposedly knocked down to slander due to a miscommunication, leading to a whole other slew of issues. Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? No. At the time, it seemed more reasonable to make a player report, as was suggested by a CCIA Agent. Approximate Date/Time: Wednesday, November 23, about 10:30-ish Central Provided below are screenshots of the actions of XanderDox, both as Captain and in OOC at one point - The following picture is what sort of started this whole thing off. Basically, the Janitor (whose name slips my mind) was insulting the Merchant about something, making some crude remarks towards them, something along the lines of "buckethead". In response, I believe Xander threatened to file an injunction against the Janitor and to remove their headset. This was the conversation that followed afterwords. (Note : I did miss some of this conversation, so someone may have to fill in the gaps.) After this occurred, as well as an incident involving the Captain telling the Detective to mind their place, the HoP (whose tajaran name completely slips my memory, but their Ckey is DasFox) filled a report to CCIA at the Odin to investigate the Captain, claiming they were showing off a god complex and whatnot. This part is also a bit lacking in details to me, but ForgottenTraveller should hopefully clear it up with Fax logs for me. Once Central responded to the fax, the Captain caught wind and called for the DasFox's character to be detained for Sedition. Dox, later, told me that this was all a miscommunication, however, after being located sitting in the Detectives office, getting up and leaving for Cryo (after being chased by the Captain with an energy pistol to reclaim the HoP's ID), Xander took it upon themselves to update Das' Security records in the brig. With a Sedition charge. Hopefully, TheSleepyCatmom can provide a screenshot of this, or Staff can look into it. Here are logs of an officer responding to the Captain deciding that while all of Security is off handling a murder, they were best suited for updating security status: Some time after cryoing, DasFox and Xander get into it a bit in LOOC. Das started it, but Xander escalated it a fair bit. Below are other questionable acts. Discussion about arresting the Detective for "harboring" the HoP, who was sitting in his office, after having saying over Comms they were in the Detectives office talking. A gross show of miscommunication Discussion with the HoS regarding their stance on being questioned by another Head over secure Command radio channels. This is about all I could scrounge up. I made this at midnight, Thanksgiving morning, and I was out of steam. So, if this gets picked up by Staff, they can hopefully shed some light on a rather detestable round.
7. Basically, as a wizard you sort of have no long-term reason to wait to kick things off, other than preserving yourself or the station. You get a set amount of spell points and slots, and that's that. While the system is okay, I think this could make it better. When you open your spell book up, you have the option to Invest a spell point, getting rid of one as if you spent it. Then, after a period of time, say fifteen minutes, you get back two spell points. Meaning, that the longer you play wizard, the more powerful you can become, allowing you to mix things up more and more as you go on your magical quest. Bay has this system in place and it's really fun, and I believe it would improve wizard here too.
8. Just to add on to this, the round that ended at about 7;20 PM Central today, he spent a good chunk of the round walking around with a shotgun. I can't remember how Aurora handles Detectives and arming up like this, It's not mentioned anywhere specific, I don't think, but...in contrast, officers had standard Code Green gear, but he had a shotgun. I don't have any particular grievances with BSA, but since Blaine brought up him /always/ being this armed I thought it would be a worthy contribution.
9. This is...a very, very solid suggestion. I've played a fair bit of antag in my time, across a few servers, and not one has there been a Ling that felt satisfying or "spooky". As a Security main, I love being spooked, I love the horror of creeping around Maint looking for lings or vamps. But at the moment, Lings don't have the proper atmosphere. Lings should be known as horrifying, grotesque creatures that no one can feel safe from, not an annoying pest that spams stings at anyone who gets near them. +1, all my +1's for these ideas.
