Attempt to communicate the buzzard.
You roar and scream at the buzzard back, attempting to scare him off. The buzzard hesitates, allowing you an open window to knock the table leg club out of his hands and aim your custom rifle at him. You are now holding the Buzzard Skink at gunpoint.
Buzzard Skink: Buzzard wrapped leggings, Buzzard wrapped shirt, Buzzard wrapped gas mask.
Wreck Site: Table leg mace.

Take the bandoleer, go to the structure.
As you set off, you notice a small wreck about halfway through the journey. It's stopped burning, leaving behind only a charred car body. Noticing something glinting in the sand, you move to investigate. As you approach the object, a screaming man pops out of the sand behind you and attacks.
It's a fight!

Stealthfully kill the woman, take the fuel, drive away in the working car.
Silently, you move up behind the scavenger and stab her in the neck without her making a noise. The shiv breaks. You quickly grab the body, and the fuel canister, and run towards the working car. After dumping the body in the backseat, you fuel it up and activate the ignition. Driving away from the area, you begin to follow some sort of path carved into the desert. Going past the orange mounds of rock. You eventually reach an old bridge over a small depression in the orange rock and sand. You drive into the depression and set up a small camp as night falls. You check the woman's body.
Dead Crow Woman: Crow Cult Bandoleer, black leather shorts, white cut-up shirt, 1 magnum round, 2 crossbow bolts.
You eat a can of dog food and drink some of the canteen before nightfall, and go to sleep under your hammock blanket. When you wake up, you hear the roar of an engine as a car comes over the bridge, continuing on west towards where you had woken up. You begin to wonder what to do today. You can see a tall structure to the west, and some sort of stronghold on a near-by mountain to the north. Perhaps they're friendly?

FUCK WHY DID I CLICK ON THIS

Nah. Would be nicer if the wizard had a better range of gear, clothing, armour, and spells to allow them to easily RP being something BESIDES a wizard.

Take the rifle, jacket, and examine the second wreck further.
Seizing the bullets and rifle, you take a better look at the custom weapon. The barrel seems to be a pipe, basic firing mechanism, butt of it is some sort of hallow scrap. It's bolt action, only holds on round. You check the bolt and see it's unloaded. After loading a rifle round into the custom rifle, you notice that along it's barrel there is something scratched into it. You can only make out a B, the rest of the first word is scratched out. You also take the jacket. Upon closer inspection, you see that the black leather is likely not any sort of animal. Moving any sort of morals aside, you put on the jacket for extra protection. You take a last look at the dead body.
Dead Body: Stitched together pants.
Moving out of the tower, you silently creep along to the second wreck. Hiding behind a rock 15 meters away from the wreckage, you see the moving figure. It's a woman, she wears some sort of bandoleer with a pauldron on the right shoulder. The pauldron has black feathers on it. She wears a white shirt underneath and is wearing what appears to be black leather pants crudely cut into shorts. She appears to be looking through the wreck for anything of value, and you spot a canister lying next to her. Fuel! You could use that in the other car, if it is out of gas. You ponder your next move.
Wearing: Hammock bag, shorts, leather jacket.
Inventory: Half full canteen of water, lighter, rare cigarette, three cans of dog food, a hammock blanket, a small length of rope, a single rifle round.
Weapons: A custom-made rifle, shiv.

Examine the body.
Checking over the body, you notice several puncture marks across it. You guess the red colouring on the clothing it wears wasn't exactly dye.
Dead Body: Stitched together pants, crude leather jacket, 2 rifle bullets, one custom rifle.
You head upstairs to check the rest of the building. At the top, there is a metal grate platform. The walls to the west, east, and south are blown away, and the north wall is now just waist high. The platform itself has nothing notable besides a strange white gang marking of what appears to be a man wearing a gas mask and goggles. From the height you can see the cave you exited from, the crashed car, and the smokestack in the distance. The crows have left, and you can see that the smoke is coming from a second wreck. You see something moving around near it.
Wearing: Shorts, Hammock Bag.
Inventory: Half Full canteen of water, shiv, lighter, rare cigarette, three cans of dog food, a hammock blanket, and a small length of rope.

I assume there would be some new religions/cults springing up, especially at the outer and frontier colonies.

Re-purpose the hammock, head towards the destroyed tower.
You cut a portion of the hammock into the bag, and take the few cans. Taking the rest of the hammock, and the leftover rope, you head out to investigate the ancient tower. The other buildings that once existed around it are blasted to rubble, the tower itself somehow mostly survived minus some damage at the top. Entering it, you can see a spiral staircase heading up. There's a dead body with what appears to be red coloured clothing, and some sort of gun.

Xander's right, we need a directive regarding this. Implants can be serious business, as the ones that are mostly used are ones that remove bad thoughts about NT.
-
Perhaps the one in the lab would be a "fresh" positron, same with the ones from RnD that give the regular research. The ones from storage would be "used" and wouldn't give research.

Do skrells not do senile? It seems like after 150 years, they'd have issues trying to sift through all those memories.

Try to turn the metal gauntlet into an AK-47. Search the car. Head to the cave.
Welp, you broke the gauntlet. On the brighter side, you took a more extensive look in the car and found a shiv, along with a lighter and an extremely rare cigarette. Deciding to head over to the cave, you walk into the mouth and use your lighter to find the way. You continue down the tunnel until you find a strange room carved into the rock. It contains a hammock, some cans of food, and judging by the lit firepit, someone has recently been here. You weigh your options, do you continue further down the tunnel or head back up? Do you loot the room?
Wearing: Shorts.
Inventory: Half full canteen of water, shiv, lighter, rare cigarette.

Pour some of the canteen into a cupped hand.
You cup your hand and slowly tilt the canteen to see the contents. A tiny drop of water comes out. Smiling at your fortune, you put the canteen back and weigh your options.
Wearing: Shorts, metal gauntlet with spiked knuckles on right hand.
Inventory: Half full canteen of water.

I love this. Moves the Vox from being "dem space raiders" to an almost Quarian-like species that isn't universally loathed.
Adds some depth to the species (even though I've seen the gamemode played a grand total of once since I joined the Aurora) which I find is much appreciated. Hell - with things like this, it might even open the door to some OTHER possibilities.
Anyhow - yeah I really do like this.
As I said on the merc vote thread at the suggestions threads, I had an idea that if this is accepted, I would suggest a station the vox would spawn at with 3 rooms filled with the gear of the 3 playable tribes, so that vox can be pacifistic traders with guards, or just full blown raiders. I wouldn't mind if others suggested vox tribes.

Go towards the wreck.
Taking a closer look, it appears some car with red markings, with an engine in the...back? Crashed into one of the large orange rocks jutting out of the ground. Looking inside, you find a half full canteen and some sort of gauntlet with spikes on the knuckles. You fit the gauntlet onto your right hand. You can see keys in the vechicle, however the driver is nowhere to be seen. Do you try the keys, or investigate the cave mouth, smokestack, or tower? You weigh your options.
From your movement, the sand has left your shorts.
Wearing: Shorts, a metal gauntlet with steel knuckle spikes on your right hand.
Inventory: A half full canteen.

My head...guh...what happened? Where am I?
Thoughts race across your head as you groan and slowly wake up. You are caked with sand, and appear to have been laying in a sand dune in the middle of a desert. A few odd orange rocks jut out of the ground upwards towards the sky. Your memories are like a swirling mass in your head, blotting them. You can hardly remember why you are here, or where you are. You take a look at your possessions.
Wearing: sand-filled shorts.
Nothing. Nothing besides the clothing you wear. Taking a look around, you see a smokestack off to the west with crows circling it. To the north, a destroyed ancient tower. To the south, the mouth of a cave. To the east, what appears to be some sort of wreck. You wonder what to do next.
-
I had an idea like this. My vox tribe lore app, which I'll link later, had 3 playable tribes in them. I was thinking of doing a suggestion if it got accepted that vox would spawn in a small station, with 3 rooms for each tribe. You could have 5 traders with a crazy guard with chem weapons, or a joint team of chem using crazies and vox in spiked armour.
-
IMO, armour should effect the stuns. IE. Someone with no armour would go down in one hit from a baton, with cult armour and hardsuits it would have to take a few hits. I wouldn't mind some armours completely negating it if it's supposed to be super high tech or literally built for melee.
-
I don't mind waiting a long-ass time for them.
-
I still say no. There's no reason to have personal guards when there's security officers about, and you (In the case of the RD, HoP, HoS, and Captain.) have access to weapons. If it's such a concern, you can always find a trusted person to promote to bodyguard and have them get weapons from research to shadow you around.
-
And yet it's on comms. I imagine the translator would only be able to tell you what they're saying on comms channels that the headset has access to. Anyways, I'd like to see this idea get done.
Who are you?
