I appreciate you being forthright. If I'm not mistaken the rule regarding multi-keying is a permanent ban. I don't see why I should be an exception. I'd like to believe that I've grown as a person and a player, and though it may be true, it seems I still let conduct slip for cheap thrills during the long hours of the night. I believe that's something that can change, but not quite yet it seems. On the matter of the cubes, I very quickly admitted that deceiving people to harm them seriously with lab equipment while non-antag for no scientific reason. I invented a reason after the fact when pressed for one, and then fell back on procedure long after breaching it. The argument was whether you could feed cubes to a consenting individual who signed the proper papers with higher authorization and an in-character scientific reason. Although Tablespoon agreed with me on that point in the end it doesn't obscure the initial act or the curt and smartass tone I used to address them. My answer to your question is that its clear you shouldn't. I hope that maybe one day you will, but it would be best not to this time. I expect that in another few months I'll come back to make another appeal and I honestly believe my conduct and respectful action will have improved. BYOND Key: Sevenghost Total Ban Length: Permanent Banning staff member's Key: Glamourchariot Reason of Ban: Having just been given some leeyway over a permanent ban, decided to go around as security tasing random other security members. Upon being caught decided to log off and did not return. Reason for Appeal: My reasons are twofold. 1. I was not a member of security. I was dressed as one but did not sign in as or through play join the security team. I was acting under direction of a nuke operative offering bounties for subdued officers. 2. I did not choose to log off. Let my record show that I have not once before this logged off during moderator intervention. A Summertime storm knocked out the power to the entire block of my neighborhood and by the time I logged back in (several hours later) I was already banned. I tried to contact the banning member or another staff member and was unable. Being deeply frustrated for being banned not even 24 hours after my last ban and being unable to contact the staff member in the same night, I simply quit playing for an extended period of time. Its been more than a month since I was banned on misinterpreted pretenses and I'd like to open my case to review.

Phoebe Essel: Is a character I can't help but respect. Difficult to approach, not terribly social, but projects her personality well despite this. I respect a character who's background and story comes out in small pieces (that I usually hear from other people rather than herself). Manipulative when she needs to be without being obvious or overbearing. Anna (Formerly Issek): Scares the shit out of me. Legitimately intimidating without having a scary description. Backs up her words with force and rarely speaks without meaning it. Very good at her job. Daniela Baranova: One of the few psychs with anything close to a procedure. Easy to talk to, high in demand. Brings respect to a job often overlooked. Someone I enjoy speaking with and being around. Jaylor Rameau: The craftiest sonofabitch on the station. He's always up to something but not often caught. A good example of how to be malevolent even if you aren't the antag. I've butted heads with Jaylor as antag before and have never once come out on top. A worthy opponent. Centurion: Polite, professional, robust.

I'll leave out my most recent evasive non-answer and say that I truly believe I'll have another month going good and doing mostly social or assistant jobs. That's honestly a lot of fun, and more fun than being Science on a chucklefuck server in exile. Its what comes after that month that'll spell if I'm still around, because I don't think I'll have it in me to make another appeal.

Well I'll leave the decision about the job ban to you. I'd prefer not having to appeal a job ban again, but I'll do it if I have to.

That's a pretty stiff price. Science is mostly what I play here for. Its where most my friends are based. I was even hoping to work my way back to RD again, though that seems an even farther longshot than it was before. If I seem to come to trouble most often in a Science position then its only because I play Science most often and another department won't be different. I've rarely been able to argue a better deal though, so if that's the price of admission I'll pay it. That brings me to an issue of my own though: I have a stigma on me at this point. I was even punished once for something I hadn't even done and have never done (Atmsopherics grief) and my notes were used as justification. The stigma bites, and you know some of it is pretty well deserved, but I feel hopeless about the prospect of earning back some trust over time. Stigmatised.

I don't want to beat around the bush. How much more longer can this go on? We've tried a lot of different options and punishments and conditions. Job bans, temp bans, self bans. This is clearly something that's going to keep happening, how many more chances should I really get, I'm going to keep slowly building up stress til I come into conflict with others. I have to face up that I might be one of the reasons Science team has a bad rep, and I only truly ever just want to be RD. To be honest, I haven't really been the same person since a few months ago. I've had to give up a lot of things I enjoy or count on in my life recently as my mental state gets worse. Maybe its just best if I respectfully hang up my hat and go. I honestly am going to miss a lot of you. I don't think many of you know how much I respect you, I'm often too afraid to talk to you. To my friends I want to thank you very much for the pleasant times we've shared, you're the biggest reasons I keep coming back. I wish I could express how much these silly little jokes and small stories mean to me. I apologize for damaging this community instead of building it up. I'm sorry that I couldn't do better.

Before someone asks why I don't go somewhere else. For a lot of personal reasons, this is really the only station I can stand. I can't hack it anywhere else. I have tried to go elsewhere and honestly.. this is one of the few bastions of anyone actually trying to make something and have some semblance of rules around social conduct.

I've never said "for no reason" to any of my mistakes. No it wasn't worth it, because as it turns out I was mistaken about the reason I even did this for in the first place. Even if I wasn't mistaken it would still have not been worth it. First to correct a few semantic issues. It wasn't wordless, this was the end result of a conversation that ended in threats. Second, it wasn't a meta-grudge. I've generally been pretty friendly with Reyjakai and their character Katelynn and don't hold any ill will to them personally. Initial messages mentioned feeling justified in the first moments before the act, something I usually say right after I'm confronted. Initially I thought this was over someone named Charlie being killed or not-cloned because of a character believed I broke into their lab. I felt personally responsible for Charlie's life, was already aggravated from griefers who made racist bomb jokes and tried to knife my face off, and the HoP's decision to punish all of Science for a griefer team of two's actions. So already on a hair edge and seeing something as a grave injustice I flew over the edge and made a bad mistake. In short, I do not feel justified.

Making a run for Director, eh? Good on you, we've needed a consistent one since I lost my mind dropped my whitelist. You know your job, you bother to roleplay with people and I'm sure you'd help keep the lab in order. All in all I'd love to see you at the helm of the Science department.

They were searching for tear gas, although there had been no incidents outside or within the lab. Earlier there had been a discussion on chemical mixtures we witnessed made in the past and how we might improve on their formula. By regulation controlled chemicals and equipment may be created for research purposes, but may not leave the bounds of the lab or be employed outside of approved testing areas. This warrant was signed by the Captain on the grounds of their own testimony to hearing this discussion, which never at any point referred to malicious use, removal from the lab, or testing in unregulated zones. The search signed and silently carried out by Captain Wolfe proved to be a dramatic disruption to the operation and morale of an otherwise well functioning department. Several productive members resigned due to this incident, further reducing department productivity. Not even moments after this happened, the Captain was witnessed and recorded entering cryosleep causing this incident to be unable to be mediated or resolved by the Head of Personnel. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: No Director nor Internal Affair Agent were available, and the Head of Personnel's involvement was unneeded following the Captain's cryosleep. Additional notes: It's the Captain's responsibility to understand regulations regarding the function of each department, including the Science department which is the entire focus of this research vessel. Gross misunderstanding or failure to read regulation severely impacted the company resources employed to keep this vessel performing its intended purpose, and the overall function of both the Science and Security departments.

I was told that if I had not requested to be banned for an indefinite duration by my own volition that my initial ban would have been 1-2 weeks. I was also stripped of my Head of Department whitelist, which I do not plan on appealing or reapplying for. I'm prepared to discuss the incident cited in the Reason of Ban field as well as any incidents leading up to it that round and after, insofar as they relate to further conduct on this server. My understanding of the incident: A high grade weapon (laser cannon) was created and leveled at a fellow head of staff (Vittorio Giurfigglio) by my player character(Probably Lucy Sparks). I semi-successfully attempted to have this character dismissed from active duty for gross negligence during the course of this shift. These constitutes the violation of several server rules, most chiefly in the form of Self-Antagging behavior and gross violation of believable conduct for even an antagonistic head of staff. Because of a history of these incidents related to head of staff antagonistic and self-antag behavior I do not think I am suitable for a Head of Staff role now or in the foreseeable future. However, I do believe myself capable of playing a non-whitelisted position without violation of server rules at this time and in the future. Should my behavior prove otherwise then standard punitive action insures a much longer and much more permanent ban, one not of my own request. I only ask for consideration and will be standing by to respond. Thank you for your time.
