Cargo Technician

Cargo Technician (4/37)

  1. I remembered it very differently, actually. Jason and Analiese were talking in a side room (WHERE EVERYONE KEPT STOPPING TO WATCH THEM) and Analiese brought up that she didn't want to be with Jason for cheating on her multiple times, when the only time Jason had ever cheated on her was kissing a woman when he was in severe emotional distress because his fiancee was dead, and Analiese had just spent a shift admiring her ex-boyfriend. Analiese began to leave and Jason grabbed her and pulled her away from the door, and before he was able to do anything, Izemut, Vincent, and Jakob showed up and arrested him. After Jason had fought to get his PDA back, he messaged her a few times apologizing for what was a completely inappropriate action. After being let free, and being told that more or less he wasn't going to be allowed to do his job, he was wandering the halls, when Jakob appeared and got him into a room, where Vincent, Izemut, and Jakob all beat him with various weaponry, and Milo watched.
  2. BYOND Key: Silver116 Character name: Jason Sanders Item name: Crimson Crow Mask, Crimson Crow Jumpsuit Why is your character carrying said item to work? To wear and do vigilante things with. Honestly he uses the vigilante persona as a sort of shield from all the dramas and such. And seeing as how he's been doing this for a while, I feel like he should get a real costume. Item function(s): Wearing? The mask should conceal the wearer's identity, but beyond that, there's not much else needed. Item description: Mask: A bird like mask that conceals the identity of the wearer and suddenly makes you want justice. Jumpsuit: A red jumpsuit with a black crow on the chest and black wings on it's back. Item appearance: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/9shs0mu41pumkh9,07rvy28nw063sjr/shared Additional comments: So, I know that most likely, NanoTrasen wouldn't let him bring this stuff to work. So, instead, I propose that it is made craftable with a red jumpsuit and cardboard to make the jumpsuit, and a gasmask and cardboard to make the mask. Story thingy
  3. I was Jason Sanders during this round, and it was all more or less played out in a more or less reasonable fashion. Pretty much everything here is accurate, and I definitely support lifting the ban.
  4. bye i guess EDIT: merry april jokes day
  5. crimson crowarangs plz
  6. +1 Hive is one of the best rpers on the station, and more than deserves the head whitelist. Him working command would be both amazing and a nightmare. Probably at the same time.
  7. Uh, a clarification. I ordered weapons from cargo soon after the armory was raided and equipped my officers with that.
  8. It is super flattering to get all this positive feedback on Jason, but I know that there are people who dislike Jason, and I would very much like to know why and get complaints. It'll help me make the character better.
  9. I would firstly like to apologize if my previous post came across as defensive. It wasn't my intention. I admit that I very much messed up regarding the brigging of Nasir. I handed him over to security, and as the BS12 wiki advised me to, I let security handle him. They had a HoS, and so I assumed it would be easy enough for him to be handled. However, after fifteen minutes of him waiting, I should have stepped in and had him released, or at the least relocated to a brig to serve his time. As to how people bothering me prevents me from addressing a prisoner, if the people in question are going out of their way to make it harder for security and I to do our job, with one person even attacking us, and none of them following orders, is that enough justification? I don't want to say that it wasn't my fault, because it very much was, but it was a bit more than just me putting Nasir in a cell and walking away because I enjoy ruining other people's fun. It was a mistake to play captain on my first whitelisted shift, while I was dealing with outside forces affecting my mood. It will not happen again, regardless of whether or not I keep my whitelist. I should also clarify that I didn't just get fed up and leave. I actually did have to go. I should have handled it with more grace than I did, but I did have to go. The next time I have to leave as a head in the middle of an action, I'll ahelp, and also not be a dick. As to this, I simply disagree. From my perspective, I had a limited security team of a borg and an officer, and from what the AI told me, I was fairly sure that the armory was completely empty. I knew that the captain and I had called for an ERT, and my plan was to just keep my security team patrolling, searching for the hostile intruder(because as far as I knew, there was only one), and to call out their position if they found anything strange until the ERT arrived, at which point I would change my orders depending on what the ERT thought was best. After the situation of the intruder was resolved, then I would have the armory repaired, but I didn't want to have to babysit engineers when there were possible intruders about.
  10. Firstly, I would like to point out that it wasn't my intention to have Nasir locked up for an hour. He was supposed to be in a cell for a maximum of five minutes, only to showcase that my captain character did not abide by disrespect. However, multiple things made this difficult. The entirety of cargo, and multiple others took it upon themselves to right this injustice and bother me and the HoS while I was only trying to get Nasir into a cell for maybe three minutes. I wasn't trying to go off on a powertrip, I was trying to demonstrate that my head was a rules lawyering asshole. The type of person who would, in fact not abide by someone arguing with him, even if they had a point. As for my reactions in Looc, they were completely ridiculous and overblown. I was having a rough day, and I began to play SS13 to relax. My intention was to build up some discourse and make a more interesting round. Instead, I was constantly harassed by people who were complaining about decisions that I didn't even know I had made. To me, it seemed like suddenly out of nowhere a staff controlled character had come to punish me for even attempting to do something negative to a staff's character. I understand that that wasn't what was going, but to me it felt unfair. I also wasn't aware that you were in there for that long, and I personally apologize. I remember there was a thread on the prior forums that was talking about needing more racism in the game, and I figured that I could make a character to do that. I was honestly, only trying to make the round more fun for all the people involved, and I'm sorry that it ended up so terrible. I completely understand if you feel like getting rid of my whitelist is a proper course of action. To Frances' complaint, that round the armoury had been breached, and I was lead to believe that there was nothing inside there anymore. I told the security officers to patrol maintenance, because it seemed to be the best course of action if there was a possible armed intruder. I got weapons for the security officers, but there wasn't actually much that could be done without causing more damages or loss of life. I was doing what I felt was the smartest action in that scenario.
  11. So, I know a ton of people have a ton of problems with my main character, Jason Sanders, and seeing as this is the new, hip thing to do, I'd like to hear any and all complaints people have. I'll probably do a small bit of reworking Jason, but probably not too much. Flavor Text: Backstory: Personality Junk: Important Notes: So, yeah. Complaints, comments, concerns are all welcome here. I'd love to hear them all.
  12. I totally agree with Ggnomaz. Even today, I know multiple people with bright unnaturally coloured hair who have professional, well paying jobs, and this is several hundred years into the future. Swat is a good roleplayer, and Fortune is a good enough and interesting character. +1
  13. BYOND key:Silver116 Character names:Jason Sanders, Garret Clarke, Summer Thompson, Walter Hirleman, Jesse Rhineheart How long have you been playing on Aurora?: About five months, give or take. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Access to the best ERP spots on the station. New jobs available come with new roleplaying opportunities. I've never played a head before, so it'll be interesting and new. Why did you come to Aurora?:I was new to the game and trying out servers. Aurora easily had the best quality of players, so I stuck around. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?:Yeeep. Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is a form of escapism. You play a character and put them in various situations that you would never be able to be in. When you roleplay, you create a story with various people, and it should be about creating that story first and foremost. When you roleplay, your main concern shouldn’t be winning the game, it should be creating a fun and interesting story with others and making sure it’s fun for all. Also ERP. A boatload of it. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: A Head of Staff is there to regulate and keep the station to at least some semblance of sanity. A good Head should make it easier for players to have fun, good roleplay, and harder for players to blow up the station. A head of staff needs to be able to make sure the station is working efficiently, and if it isn’t, they should be able to fix it. A Head of Staff isn’t there to make rounds fun and interesting as much as they’re there to make sure everything runs smoothly. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: A whitelisted player's responsibility is to provide an example of good rp. They must fulfill the responsibilities that come with playing a Head of Staff dutifully and do their best to keep rounds from being completely derailed. A whitelisted player should play as a head when it’s necessary, and should be able to help any players that need it. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Jesse Rhineheart Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): The Rhineheart bloodline is a very long and very, very rich family tree, stretching back for generations and generations, with many ties to NanoTrasen. The Rhinehearts always believed they were better than everyone else, especially any other species. Many generations prior to Jesse’s birth, it was decided that for the Rhineheart clan to truly prove they were better than everyone else, they had to get genetic modifications to expedite Darwin’s process. The most obvious of which was the striking, almost neon blue eyes that almost all Rhinehearts possess. Jesse is the youngest official Rhineheart, and is set to continue the traditions of the bloodline. By the age of eighteen he had enlisted with NanoTrasen. In only a relatively short ten years, he’d climbed the ladder all the way to becoming a Head of Security, and only five years after that, a Captain. He spent much of his time living a lecherous lifestyle, however, in a workplace incident, he was made completely sterile with no heirs. It seemed the Rhineheart bloodline was lost there, but, it seemed that one of his extra-marital activities had given him a bastard son. He, by now an Admiral, decided to return to his post as a Captain, heading to the station where his son worked, the NSS Aurora. What do you like about this character?:I like that he’s so dislikable. To be frank, Jesse Rhineheart is one of the biggest dicks of a character I’ve ever made up, and I’m excited to play someone so different from my usual type of characters. What do you dislike about this character?:Well, as said before, he’s a total dick, but beyond that, I’m a bit worried that it might be a bit too far from my comfort zone, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to properly play him. Oh, also he’s racist. Do you think this character is fit to be a Head of Staff?: I believe he is. Why?: He’s like, seven hundred years old (actually fifty-three)) and he’s had a lot of training for a job like this. Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I think I’m pretty decent. I like to think I’m better than some players on the server, but my roleplaying more than pales in comparison to others. I think it’s a mixed bag. I’m good at somethings, but I’m not so good at others. Extra notes:
