  1. Hm. Point taken.
  2. This may be a bit 'small' on the big'ol list of suggestions, but: --The brig currently has three mag locks in the armory. I feel that the brig should have (at least) enough mag locks to close all auxiliary entry points to the brig. (Side entrance, Medical Entrance, Maintenance Entrances) So, that being said, why not ship some more Mag locks over. Say, 4 - 6?
  3. Yes, easily. It's more of a in-person issue. I can communicate just fine in a 'work' environment online. That being said, I will be a bit quiet unless I am involved in the topic.
  4. Server Moderator Application Basic Information Byond Account: Hunnewle Character Name(s):Newleo Oaken, Corvo Oaken, Corvo Ortenshire AI Name(s):N.E.W.L.E/Newle, Sometimes go by names given by others. Preferred means of contact: Steam (Hunnewle), Text (I can supply my phone number later), and Email. In that order. Age: 17 Timezone: -5 GMT When are you on Aurora?: Normally from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM, but I tend to vary from day to day. Experience How long have you played SS13?: I have honestly lost track. If I had to guess, two years, maybe three. How long have you played on Aurora: Personally I have lost track, again, (Bad memory) but I'd say off and on for around a year and a half, maybe more than that. How much do you know about SS13 (Bay station build) game mechanics?: A lot. I've played on a large assortment of servers, played every role, save for some antag roles. I've glanced through the Bay station code as well. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: Very shortly, a friend of mine wanted help with their server so I volunteered. Unfortunately the server didn't get many visitors and died in around three days. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: Only once, due to a greifer assaulted me and in self-defense I (accidentally) lopped his head off. Note to self... Don't aim for the head with a hatchet. It was a 24 hour ban. Personality Why do you play SS13?: I love the setting, the variety of each round. You never know what will happen next, plus with the suspicions, intrigue, all of that flowing with real players. The atmosphere system doesn't hurt either. Why do you play on Aurora?: I've been on a fair few servers, (under statement) and aurora seems to be the most... Stable. It's 'quality' never changes, always staying pretty good, even if slow on it's 'dead' hours, still pretty good. What do moderators do?: Moderate! Calmly enforce the rules, ensure everyone is having fun and that no one is being, simply, mean. If they are mean, Moderators moderate. They try to 'fix' the issue the 'mean' person has, so on and so forth. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: I'd think (assume) that being a moderator for aurora means helping encourage better RP, create great characters and even better stories. Like helping out the new guys, the ones who have little experience with this sort of thing, or guiding someone who may be getting a 'tad' out of bounds with their character. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I've wanted to help 'work' on a SS13 server for awhile now. Helping a round run smoothly, and if able, make it even better. And to be honest, I just like helping people. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I tend to remain calm, even when others panic (Except when I am in-character, of course!) I can remain focused and offer my knowledge of SS13 and it's gameplay. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: Pretty well I'd say. As far as people being angry at and/or insulting me, that doesn't bother me. I understand most people are just upset about something the happend, in the game or otherwise. I'd try to calm down anyone who would be angry, to be honest. With stress, I will admit that may be a issue at first but I figure I can handle it. Anything Else You Want to Add: Where to start: Some backstory on me. I am currently seventeen years old, Home schooled since the fourth grade. Haven't realy have too many 'friends' since fifth/sixth grade so I am a 'tad' anti-social. I also have issues with General/Social anxiety but I think I've finally got that handled. I may be looking into getting a job next year, just so ya' know. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have for me. (Whew, My fingers hurt now)
  5. BYOND Key: Hunnewle Character Names: Corvo Oaken (Human), Newle / N.E.W.L.E (IPC / Station AI) Species you are applying to play: Integrated Positronic Chassis What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Unable to find relevant page. BS12 Wiki has been read. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I feel IPCs give me more RP and Game play freedom. As an IPC I can do multiple jobs (On different shifts) than a single human. This allows me to play all roles without having to make a new character for each. I also like to perform comedic acts, those that most humans wouldn't do. For example: Being able to look at the damage that one may have done to you and be able to look back at them and tell them that hurt you. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The lack of pain, the logical nature, even the 'food' system. As an IPC you can perform acts a human would not be able (or willing) to perform. Notable a distinct lack of fear and a will to do their assigned task that will not waver. Character Name: N.E.W.L.E, Newle. Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs As is typical for a AI, Newle was created in a robotics lab via a Positronic Brain. Once it was confirmed that this new AI was satisfactory it was loaded into a robotic shell for that day. Records show it performed well. After a few weeks, Newle is transfer to a Station AI Core. Records show, again, it performed well. Save for some hiccups. Eventually Newle began asking for pay. It was paid far below minimum wage. After a great number of years, Newle sent a message to it's 'employers'. Along with a check. A month later Newle was removed from it's Station AI Core and placed in it's own IPC. Newle had purchased their own freedom and had managed to buy their own body. Newle still works for it's employers, NanoTrasen, but now with a wage a fair bit over minimum. What do you like about this character? Their carefree personality, tendency to act 'silly', and their dedication to do what they are assigned to do. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Not the best, then again no where near the worst. 3.5/5. I do better on some days than others. Notes: I have played SS13 for a little over a year now (maybe two... I lost track) during that time I have played on TG, Goon, Bay, some others that I shudder to think about... I've even been on Aurora before the whitelist came into effect. So... I wish to play here again, and to bring Newle with me. P.S: Let me know if I need to fix anything
