For the first question, As a moderator I can't get 'locked out' of roles with a ban, so it works on a trust system. I didn't know I was banned until Table told me, so I had to drop out of the round. For the second, I think it was actually placed the day before. The reason for my AI Role ban was because I was, in short, valid hunting. I put 'getting the bad guys' ahead of RP... I caused 2-3 innocents to be either wounded or die from either interactions (Read: Fighting) with the antags, or the emergency venting I did, in an attempt to delay the antags, while putting the mentioned innocents in danger. I have been working on slowing down my actions, and doing what's best for the story, not for me. (Sidenote: This is the third freakin' time I've typed this out. Kept hitting the wrong button, the big blue one that says 'Post Reply'.)

BYOND Key: Hunnewle Total Ban Length: N/A / Perma Banning staff member's Key: Tablespoon with authorization of Skull. (If that counts) Reason of Ban: Copied from my notes: Due to disregarding their laws as AI, and at the decision of the admin team, Hunnewle is banned from AI. Mods bypass all bans, so this ban will be enforced on the honor system that they do not choose to play AI. Reason for Appeal: I will admit, first and foremost, at the time of the above incident I was not acting my best, RP wise, or just in fact following rule numbero uno. When AimlessAnalyst talked to me, and mentioned that I would get this ban, it was a wake up call for me. Since then I've been focusing on getting my head 'back in the zone' as it were. ----- Personaly, I feel I was only too literal with my interpretation with the AI's laws. I was using the Protect law to do as I wished, given I could justify it as protecting the captain. I've recognized now that is not a 'coverall' explanation. I figure I should now follow the 'spirit' of the laws, rather than their true text. ----- I believe I got to play as an AI once, and a half, before TableSpoon informed me of my AI Role Ban. In during that time, I attempted to 'adjust' my mindset as an AI to be more neutral, acting only when needing to and such. Now that I think about it, I would have been RPing flaws, within my laws, that allow antags to have a better time, instead of getting shock / vaporized / door crushed into strawberry jam. ----- I believe this covers everything... May have missed a spot or two, please give me questions to answers and so'forth, so I can adjust my playstyle and, with any hope and/or luck, get back to playing my favored role: AI. P.S: If there is a easier way to do that spacing for paragraphs than with dashes, please tell me.

Swat's a well-known name to me, they might make a good addition. (Then again, I don't get on much lately and my memory is shite). At anyrate, I give ye one +1 for a trial run.

I'd say +1 for a trial run, see how they do. I've know Phoebe Essel, The character, for a good bit now. Good character, if that counts for anything.

[DENIED] slc97's Moderator Application
Hunnewle replied to slc97's topic in Moderator Applications Archives
Hrm... Pardon me if I, myself, word this wrong: But it seems your motivation is not in keeping Aurora fun, but rather (as others pointed out) to learn more about SS13. Besides that, the fact you are a law student (If true, c'mon, this is the internet) could be a useful trait in keeping the rules. My only other concern is that you've stated one of your responses to stress is to drink, and I am afraid that would impede your judgement. -
Well, I just read through the post so I will say what I think: Security should not be the one to push DNCs, if anyone, it'd be the CMO/Psychologist. Regarding us 'grasping at straws' with your 'old' logs, they still represent you and how you act. And finally, There is only one reason, ever, to kill someone who is in your mercy. It is if they are already badly wounded, won't survive, and you can't get them fixed. At that point it's a mercy kill, only if they are begging to die.

Character Complaint: Corvo Oaken & Chris Outfield
Hunnewle replied to ForgottenTraveller's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Alright, I will admit that was one of my more 'aggressive' rounds. But of course: I will explain. The weapons crate, The armory only held one WT Saber and our warden, Syion, was SSD in cryogenics. Due to this I took up the responsibility of keeping the armory properly stocked, which is stated in the wiki, and had nothing to do with the oncoming round type. A lot of things happened that round, so I will give a summarized version. I felt that the captain was acting over his powers, as in acting as a security member. I once saw them in the armor armed searching for the threats them self, which I didn't quite agree with. Fast forward to the OR where the self proclaimed 'Queen' and possible Varuca diplomat was being held up by the neck/collar of their shirt by the captain. I drew my E-gun, told the captain to drop her. He told me to put the gun away and ignored my demand, so I drew the gun which I admittedly got from the weapons crate earlier in the shift, a bull-pup. I gave the captain ten seconds, then ten more, then another ten, all the while telling him to drop her. In the end the captain moved making the Varuca get shot, His assistant essentially tackled me, then the Varuca (antag still) dropped a EMP grenade making us think one of us dropped said grenade. I think that just about covers it... Security was good in not taking orders from either of us once we started openly arguing/fighting. If ye got questions, lemme know! -
Allo'! Yeah I feel he is fine to be unbanned, nice guy. Just needs to know the rules!

BYOND key: Hunnewle Character names: Corvo Oaken, Sirius Ortenshire, Corvo Ortenshire/CO2, Newle-A/B/T, Cubie-O How long have you been playing on Aurora?: To be honest, Lost track. Near / over two years now. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Personaly it's long overdue, I want to play the Head roles to help 'steer' rounds for the better. Why did you come to Aurora?: Wanted HRP, found HRP. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Abosolutely. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay! The act of pretending to be something / someone else for fun and enjoyment! (Also sometimes to annoy 'friends'). It's about acting out absurd, or sometimes real, events in settings/ways you would never get to do IRL. That is- Without liberal application of drugs. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: In short: The same purpose as a kindergarten teacher. In long: To guide the players and ensure the round get's done good! (Improper grammar intended) What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: To take said Head Roles when needed, as some round-types do require them, but also to be the best Head of your staff as you can be! Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Corvo Oaken Character age: 32 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Alright! This is by no means a 'final' thing, Corvo's life story could change. Born to a roboticist and a merchant, Corvo spent his early years moving from station to station, as his mothers trading business took them around a fair bit of known space. Corvo also has a brother, Newt, who at this time hasn't been fleshed out. Once they came of age, Corvo took up some janitorial jobs. Later, when deciding he wanted to pursue a medical carreer, he attempted to earn a degree in medical. He 'flunked' out with only the credentials to be an EMT. This lasted for a few years before he jumped tracks into the security route, from here he 'took off' as it were, finding this job much more to his liking. (Shout at me if ye need more) What do you like about this character?: The fact that no matter what get's thrown at this way, save for the 'lethal' bits, he normally responds like Saitama (One Punch Man) with an, "Okay." and proceeds to defuse the situation via words, or baton applied to head and/or rectum. What do you dislike about this character?: At times their lazy attitude does rub off on me, so I don't play them 'all that often'. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Their long history of working with NanoTrasen security, along with their services as a warden. Even as an officer they once corrected a warden on their behavior, albeit forcefully, and helped a troubled prisoner. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 3-4/5. At times I do some actions in high detail, while others I just can't be bothered. Extra notes: Second App I've done'ere, I know the drill. Shout at me if you want anything here changed.

Well then. To be continued at a later date, another time! ...Hopefully.

Newton shakes his head, waking up. They remove the blindfold, blinking, as they look around the passenger cabin of the shuttle. They look towards the airlock, eyebrow raised. They wonder what is delaying the launch. They figure it's nothing too important. They remove a small pen which they then proceed to jab into their thigh, just as they put the blindfold back over their eyes with the free hand. Few moments later and they return to snoring, with the pen laying on the floor nearby. ((Hoi, Did this die? Should someone else take over or something? I can try to Forum DM if ye want.))
-
Newton lets out a snore, more of a 'grunt', as if acknowledging something. [Here!]
-
I LIKE this idea!
-
--Newton emits a rather loud snore from the back of the shuttle, their legs splayed out in front of them. ((Bump ya dinguses!))
-
--Newton picks a seat near the back, fastens his buckles, then removes a small blindfold from his belt. They can be heard snoring moments later, blindfold resting on their eyes.
-
--Newton quietly goes about his business, finding his locker, opening it, and collect the various tools and gadgets. They click a button on a small device, only to dissapeare replaced by another locker. With a 'pop' the locker vanishes and Newton returns. They strap on a belt filled with the devices. They then sling a dufflebag over their shoulder, within it contains everything that couldn't simply fit on a belt. They close the locker and begin to walk to the airlock. as they pass the table they grab a Energy Carbine and a silenced pistol, as the 'leader' suggested. He strapped both to a leg. As they near the airlock they don the helmet given to them. --CO2 fades into the strip, marking the wearer as Carbon Dioxide. They look back from the airlock to the rest in the locker room, waiting.
-
Newton glances up from his PDA, a surprised face lit by the device's glow. "I'm ready. I think. Mostly. Kind of... Definitely." they finally say. They glance around the room at the group, eyes wide.
-
I may be late, then, as that's 5:00 AM for me, I don't get up intill Seven.
-
Newton Oaken raises a eyebrow as he removes a PDA, tapping away on it. You can faintly hear him mumbling about looping the cameras.

--It has been reviewed (I got talked to) and you have been found to be in the right, Coolbc2000. I over reacted, and now know a bit more on how the rules get enforced! As no one else was harmed from your accident all's fine. I do apologize, again, if I came off as racist earlier. I was just meaning you could do better as a character. --Sidenote: Your warning has been uplifted. Again, my fault on that'un.
-
Alright! I will admit, at the time, I was a bit hot-headed. I was the only Staff on at the time. --What happend was this: Tyrone Syion played by Coolbc2000 had set off a fuel tank in Misc. Research's secure area. The resulting blast breached the reinforced walls venting the secure area. I asked him why he did that, exactly, and he explained his character was attempting to impress Lilith, the RD, by disarming a Fuel tank rigged to remotely detonate. My comment regarding 'Sane people do not disarm bombs' is not completely correct, I meant untrained persons who didn't know what they were doing. --I did not find their excuses proper, for knowingly igniting a fuel tank, and warned them of this. During the discussion I stated "Don't you think that's a bit much? Black skin, Afro, named Tyrone?" as that, to me, was a known stereotype. I did not intend to be racist in anyway, only to promote more original characters. They told me that their character is actually based off of one of their friends. --I apologize if I did wrong, if I have I will correct my behavior. But for the time being I feel my statements are sound.
