Limb removal surgery

Is it possible to surgically remove someone's limbs, regardless of whether or not they are damaged?

Also, as a side note, do you have to place someone on a table to operate on them? I'm wondering, in case I ever decide to be a traitor and want to engage in gross medical malpractice.

Yes! Target limb with saw while they're on a table. Keep in mind even one missing limb will usually eventually sink that someone into paincrit so.

They aren't going anywhere after a while. yes. Those rollerbeds have a 75% chance of making you mess up, and normal old tables have a 50% chance of making you mess up. You can operate on them though if you're in a rush. And if the limb's coming off, well. A mis-slice here and there isn't a big deal.

On a related note, if someone with mechanical prosthetics were to be cloned, should the relevant limbs be removed and replaced with prosthetics, to prevent them from realizing they were a clone? Which is more unethical: a few robotic limbs or the trauma of learning they're a clone?

If someone who had robotic limbs is cloned, you'll want to cut off the limbs they were missing before they regain consciousness. It's recommended that you keep them under using sleep toxin and anesthetic until you have all of that stuff straightened away. If the original limbs weren't really that damaged, you could re-use them.

Oh, that's good to hear. What about the heart and eyes? I'd imagine that heart and eye removal surgery would be somewhat difficult.

People with those kinds of prosthetics, well, I refrain from cloning because I don't think there's a way to actually give someone a robotic heart or eyes.
