Rusty Shackleford Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 NeoTokyo is a standalone Half-Life 2 mod that was released a couple years ago. It takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk version of Japan where a police state has been created after a failed coup attempt. Two teams, the Jinrai (ultranationalist rebels) and the NSF (government hit squads) duke it out across various locales to gain control of a robotic torso called a ghost, or simply to annihilate the other team. Think of Counter-Strike. Now think of something better in every way conceivable, and you've got what this game is. It's got a little bit of a learning curve, and somewhat of a lack of players (usually only 1-2 servers are full/half full at a given time), but goddamn, it's good. The setting is based heavily on Ghost in the Shell, so that might be appealing to some as well. It's free and on Steam, and the download isn't very big, so there really isn't any reason for you not to at least give it a try, now is there? And as far as graphics, if your computer can run the Source engine, then you'll be just fine. Seriously, try this game. Quote
hivefleetchicken Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Rustu made me play it. Was not disappointed. Me and him pwned n00bs in a parking complex while all the other four experts on our team stacked against our two enemies. Totally fair. Quote
Seven_Ghost Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 The character models and concept art is amazing. Quote
Farcry11 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I'm gonna play this so I can cradle robo-babies in my strong, manly arms. Also cyberpunk's my shit. Quote
