NerdyVampire Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 Reporting Personnel: Victor JenkinsJob Title of Reporting Personnel: ScientistGame ID: b5k-dCii (or jj)Personnel Involved: Offender: Tzarka Ssarzi, lab assistant - offender, continuously harassed me throughout the shift.Witness: Upali'Eli Lesri, lab assistant - mute, but was present on the channel and later shoved me in the elevator.Secondary Witnesses: Captain Holiday Lynn - witness, turned a very blind eye to the lab assistants shouting and accusing, failed to discipline and started berating me before learning if there was any truth to the matter.Time of Incident: Most of the shiftReal Time: 0200 GMT+1Location of Incident: Research departmentNature of Incident: Continuous harassment, false accusations and lack of discipline [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [X] - Tarnish of reputationOverview of the Incident: During the shift I excavated an artifact and performed analysis of it. I learned two things from the analysis; 1) It had remarkable healing properties, 2) it would under certain extreme conditions engage bluespace properties and teleport nearby biological units. I informed the captain about these properties and she ordered me to compile a full analysis, so I did. During my analysis I learned about the bluespace property, as I was teleported a short distance onto the asteroid. I felt elated that it was a condition so extreme that it might not exclude our use of the healing property. However, as soon as I mentioned that I had been teleported, I was instantly mocked by the offender for not wearing proper safety equipment (I was wearing eva gear and could instruct the AI in retrieving me with telescience, should need be). I bickered with the lab assistant, as they were being very coarse in their language, going well beyond their station towards a senior colleague. I returned to the lab and found that I had somehow heated the air in the lab piping system during my work, but it was well under control with an engineering apprentice. I invited the captain to come inspect my work, and warned her to wear eva gear as the AI was still restoring the atmosphere proper. She did not and had to leave again (no phoron was involved at this time). I left the anomaly in the lab, not quite in isolation, but still within the designated work space, the anomaly only now exerting positive healing energies. Not had I gone towards the kitchen before the lab assistant started screaming, on the common channel trying to rouse a panic, that I had taken the anomaly with me and that I was endangering crew, that I was being reckless. Soon after, the other assistant believed her and shoved me to the wall on my way to the lab to ensure it hasn't gone missing (as the offender insinuated very heavily). This assistant later apologied, however. To reiterate: The artifact was never a danger to the crew, the atmospheric anomalies was a small mistake which was solved with the AI and engineers help. The anomaly was never outside the lab, though the ISD got involved and the captain berated me despite my protests that the lab assistant was lying through her teeth. It is possible that she simply looked at the isolation cameras and didn't care to check the rest of the lab before shouting wolf, but even after it was explained to her, she would not back down. This lab assistant has no business on this station. Even before she understood the anomaly, she had assumed to decide its fate and my work, she did not argue for her views, she did not ask to see the anomaly report and she did not care if I had any intention of bringing it upstairs, instead yelling about it as if it was ever on the table. Her conduct is well below the standard of personnel at a NanoTransen facility, and I urge you to reconsider her employment. She used profanities on the channel while I was conversing with the captain, the captain barely reacted. Submitted Evidence: None applied.Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior?: The captain was present but did not get properly involved as an authority figure.Actions taken: None. Additional Notes: I cannot stress how much this lab assistant purposefully fear-mongered.
