Why do you wish to play this specific race:

I've explored *alot* of xenobiology and hydroponics from human characters, so I'm drawn to be a Dionae, so much that I even changed my mind from wanting to be an IPC.

 I always felt limited in reasons to like plants so much IC but OC I really am interested in anything plant like, Dionae was one thing I could only read about and not experience.  I want to expand my roleplay because honestly I felt like I reached a limit of xenobotany research from a mechanic standpoint a while ago and I'd like to see the limit of how much I can actually roleplay with xenobotany and botany, but as if you saw someone in real life really only focused on why plants are so good, a human character will always look like some sort of plant lunatic, the dionae fixes that and lets me explore more roleplay about plants to others who would otherwise disregard me.

 Appart from that, Dionae are really interesting both mechanic wise and concept wise in my opinion, especially their potential in learning and gaining wisdom.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

Appart from what was stated above. Dionae are plants who's anatomy is made of other nymphs, wrapped around with tendrils they are quite slow in movement and are quite adaptive to their environment. They are also able to learn new things easly, even more if through blood, due to that, they all vary greatly from each other since they can come from very different backgrounds and cultures to learn from. Being opportunistic feeders, Dionae get nutrition from a much wider spectrum of sources and if given enough biomatter, light or radiation it can heal itself. Lack of radiation or light can kill a Dionae however.

While a nymph has quite simple emotions, after intaking enough blood or genetic code of a sentient being they are able to understand deep emotions aswell as complex ideas. In basic terms, Dionae are usually curious and intelligent beings who are interested in obtaining new knowledge, which they learn quite easly. They live off of light and radiation and are quite adaptive to their environment.

Please provide a short backstory for this character

Grown with other nymphs as a research project aboard a research facility to analyze their species. Each scientist was assigned one nymph to study it. Through blood, they had got knowledge about xenobotany and botany from them, due to their knowledge of plant life. After the scientists decided to let them gather, they merged into a cyclops, combining all their gathered knowledge, they kept their interest high on xenobotany and helped the scientists finish their research to great success and got registered as a Solarian citizen. After some years. Once the study was finished the scientists, who had befriended the gestalt from the long time they've been together, decided to let the gestalt pursue it's interest and let it request education at the Silversun Landing Institute of Botanical Sciences and also helped pay for their studies, granting PhD in botany and xenobotany. Shortly afterwards, it was employed NanoTransen to work at NSS Aurora as a xenobotanist.

What do you like about this character?

It gives me new oportunities to roleplay aswell as giving a better reason to be interested in plants for a character without looking like a crazy xenobotanist. The new interactions with the new mechanics will be interesting to explore aswell as the new way the character can express itself with it's wisdom reflecting over various things that can happen on Aurora.

It also has a simple background that I can remember without having the burden of knowing alot of lore into one character or need a character sheet like I had with other characters case anyone asked me about my past.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

It has evolved over time to pretty decent levels I assume since I've been here for many months.
