Overview of the Incident: It was my first shift on the Aurora - and I can't remember it. Apparently I took the shuttle to the station after most of the crew already arrived, and there was no atmosphere in the lobby immediately south of the shuttle. My lung burst and I somehow ended up in the medbay. I don't remember any of this. First thing I remember is waking up covered in blood in the unfamiliar hospital, and the doctor who worked on me, Nick Connors, was arrested for "medical malpractice."
The other primary witnesses then told me that he operated on me while I was unconscious and that I cried for help over the radio. Apparently he continued to operate me even as I was screaming, until other doctors came in and stopped him. I was very excited to work here, but now when people ask me how my first day was, it's always going to be a sore spot for me.... I have been advised by Alma De Sarrano to seek financial compensation for this.
Submitted Evidence: I asked for and did not receive medical paperwork pertaining to what happened. The shuttle had been called and there were more seriously hurt patients who needed tending too.
b]Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?:[/b] No, because the Head of Security was the only one available, but he was occupied responding to an incident involving a pool party - or something.
Actions taken: I had no idea what happened and all I could do was talk to medical personnel and security to find out an idea of what happened to me. At first I didn't even know I was on the Aurora. Medical staff reported the surgeon to security, and security arrested him.
