Why do you wish to play this specific race:
I'm doing this to spite @The Stryker. He has shown me numerous applications and it made me curious enough to try making one of my own while only reading a minimal amount of lore.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

Integrated Positronic Chassis (IPC) are a very stoic species, although anyone can be stoic, people tend to expect that an IPC will be cold and analytical, but not many players tend to play cold and analytical. From a lot of other applications I’ve read, I noticed that a lot of them tend to show emotions due to them having synthetic emotions, or emotions similar to organics. But they would still feel off or fake. Personally speaking, even if it's not “real” emotions they may still be able to trick people into thinking that they are real and the line of IPCs’ synthetic emotions and true organic emotions tend to blur. At the same time IPCs tend to work in a certain order wherein they follow a program. If we were to take an example from real life we can see that modern chatbots use a learning AI that would adapt to the people that they speak to similar to the DOTA2 OpenAI that is known to never lose a fight due to it constantly learning and adapting in every situation.. At the same time, that would depend on the backstory of the IPC.

Please provide a short backstory for this character

The mental health situation aboard the NanoTrasen stations have been on a downwards slope ever since the beginning, due to everything that has happened to them. Due to this the Interstellar Aid Corps has decided to purchase baseline Model IPCs for the sole purpose of general mental health treatment. They have purchased these units in an attempt to spread psychiatrists and counselors aboard stations and give an outlet for the workers to talk to about their problems in life, in work, or just to get things off their chest. FAL-337, or “Fa” for short, is one of the many purchased counseling IPCs that was shipped out to numerous space stations. FAL-337 was sent directly from its factory station and programming to the NSS Aurora to be the outlet of the station.   

 

Since Fa is an IPC, it hasn't received any “traditional” training like going to a college or a center for it, instead it had an evolutionary based training where on top of its initial programming and databases, it was forced to simulate multiple scenarios, dealing with varying mental disorders. Due to this strenuous AI training it has adopted a very pessimistic view on life and will assume that everyone has a problem. Despite this, it always attempts to project an air of optimism in order to aid the patients it has to deal with. Owing to its training and simulations, it is very capable of changing perspectives to match the patient, viewing its perceived “viba” as a tool used to connect to the patient. Fa focuses on changing a patient’s viewpoint into believing things are better than they seem or accepting things as they are currently. After all, if Fa can perceive life through controlled variables and stimuli, surely its patients’ own viewpoints can be manipulated. 

What do you like about this character?

I like how FAL-337 is just one of many and is by no means unique. It was made to do one task, though it may sound simple, it is clearly hard due to the mental health situation always declining .

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

I am essentially doing a self insert character, so the role play ability would be as good as the recipe below.

   Using a small pat of butter, scramble some eggs in a large sauté pan, breaking them into small pieces as you go.  Then transfer the eggs to a separate plate, and set aside. Return your sauté pan to the heat, and sauté the onions, carrots, peas and garlic until soft and cooked through. Then turn the burner to high heat.  Scooch the veggies over to one side of the pan, melt the remaining butter in the other half, and add the chilled rice, soy sauce, and oyster sauce (if using).  Then stir to combine with the veggies and continue sautéing the rice, stirring every 15-20 seconds or so for 3 minutes, or until you notice the rice and veggies starting to brown slightly. Remove pan from heat. And stir in your green onions, sesame oil, and scrambled eggs. Then plate.
