Chen Yakumo
Reporting Personnel: Aisha Al-ShahraniJob Title of Reporting Personnel: Emergency Medical Technician (EPMC)Game ID: b93-axRfPersonnel Involved: Kajji Al-Jumanah, EMT (EPMC) (Witness, Victim) Samuel Wolfe, Surgeon (Zavod) (Offender) Luna Darkowski, Chief Medical Officer (Witness)Secondary Witnesses: Khars Aessen, Warden (Witness to Trespassing in Security) Oliver Fisk, Security Officer (Witness to Trespassing Incident) Akhtar Saif, Surgeon (Witness to Medical Channel, as well as Lobby incident)Time of Incident: 15:30 Real Time: Approximately 11:30 PM Eastern Time, 11/8/2020Location of Incident: Medical LobbyNature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [x] - Neglect of Duty [x] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [x] - Misconduct [x] - Other: Threatening To Tamper With Official Medical Records Overview of the Incident: At approximately 15:30 Station Time, Security called out for Medical to the Brig. Kajji and herself responded, both of us saying we were responding. A patient needed some minor medical treatment, and Kajji and herself began treating them on the scene. Shortly afterwards, the Surgeon, Samuel Wolfe, burst into the brig lobby because we were 'not responding' on comms. As paramedics, our tracking beacons are almost always on in order to help facilitate efficient and precise information in regards to our location and a potentially critical patient. Thereby, our vital signs indicated we were very much alright. After our return to medical, the Chief Medical Officer, Doctor Darkowski attempted to calm the situation, saying that what was done was done. The Surgeon proceeded to proclaim that they did their job and made sure people were okay. Kajji asked if the surgeon's tongue was pierced and told them to quit acting like an intern. The surgeon asked Kajji "Since when were you a doctor?" To which this one responded with asking them when they became an EMT. The surgeon decided that this one had 'forgotten' that surgeons are next in line to be EMTs, when we aren't available - while a crew member had brought in a very injured Pun Pun asking for a surgeon. Following this, the Surgeon abandoned medbay, telling us to "handle this one" and stormed off, declaring that he would come back when the CMO got diapers for us. What surprises her the most, however, is that after the CMO put it in plain writing that inappropriate comments are not going to be tolerated, the Surgeon then responded that we, the EMTs, were not staying in our lane. We, the EMTs handling a patient in the Brig, are not staying in our lane when questioning the Surgeon on why he decided to suddenly become an EMT and storm the brig because we were focusing on the patient's treatment rather than the communications channel, and then we, the EMTs, were not staying in our lane when he stormed out of medbay when a patient needed surgery because "we could handle this one." He then turned around and said that he expected better of his colleagues than the treatment he was getting, but didn't expect anything less from Eridani Tajara and apologized for making sure we were not dead, and that he would take it as a formal Do Not Resuscitate. She did not interact with him for the remainder of the shift, until the transfer shuttle arrived. She was on the elevator that he was about to board, and upon seeing her on the elevator, he declared "Nope" and walked away. She did not see him on the transfer shuttle afterwards, implying he missed it because she was there. This is blatantly racist and completely inexcusable from a member of the medical team. Our jobs are to help people, not bully and threaten them.Submitted Evidence: None.Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: Chief Medical Officer Luna Darkowski witnessed the entire event.Actions taken: None. Security was somewhat taxed due to an on-station incident, presumably resulting in Chief Medical Officer Darkowski to be occupied on the Command Channel.Additional Notes: N/A Edited November 9, 2020 by Chen Yakumo Formatting, apparently.
