The new emergency lights are very straining on the eyes

Basically the title. I feel like our new emergency lights are seizure-inducing. Having a third of your screen flashing brightly between red and yellow is generally not a good design idea.

Thoughts?

I honestly hate having any lights at all, if there is something lag causing, such as explosions or breaches, then the emergency lights cause lag, as far as Ive noticed anyway. I would prefer if a tornado siren sound played or something.

Or maybe make the lights toggleable in prefs?

Having a continuous sound played by the client over ten minutes is also terribly annoying.

I'm all for a change. Personally the emergency lights give me a splitting headache; it'd be better if they got changed to something closer to the fire alarm lights, and slower than they are now.

Re: Siren

Noooo thanks. Not something continuous. Maybe have the fire alarm or display screens change based on whether or not it's an emergency vs crew transfer shuttle?
