Species you are applying to play: Tajara more specifically the elegant Njarir'Akhran

What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Creme

Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: I have yes and its rather interesting, how they are so new to the whole mega corp idea, how they are capable at high skill jobs, yet still looked down apon and discriminated against. The three different factions really interested me. My character idea would definitely go with the People's Republic of Adhomai (Go loyalists!!!)

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I really just want to make a Njarir'Akhran that is a surgeon, they are still distrustful towards other races but is slowly warming up to them. CAT. I have been looking to make a surgeon but I am getting sick of clicking (human).  I enjoy the idea of playing something alien and think it would be fun to try something new, challenge my self to get it right. Oh Also dont have to wear shoes!!


Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well for starters the fact that the Tajara is relatively new to the megacorps, the fact they are still being discriminated against with wages and hours, THEY CANT WEAR SHOES (so I have heard )  the Tajara may be distrustful of the other races.


Character Name: Kira'Njarir'Akhran  (still working on the name maybe....)


Please provide a short backstory for this character:  raised on Adhomi under the supervision of her strict parents Kira'Njarir'Akhran was forced to study all day and night, only getting breaks to eat or sleep, She was being prepared for medical school, thus did not give her time to pick up any religion or learn proper social skills. They did how ever teach her about the how good the People's Republic of Adhomai is, how everyone who did not support them was a fascist who does not believe in rights for females, kids or elderly.

at the age of 15, being an adult she was finally allowed to leave for medical school, at the age of 20 she graduated, around 32 she finished her internship and became a fully fledged surgeon, still unsure what she wants with life but continuing to do it anyway since its what her parents wanted. One day she received a call from the staff aboard the Orion asking her if she required a job, now her parents never told her what to do after she became a surgeon so she felt a sense of uncertainty, even a slight feeling of freedom. But it would not last long, since she would be working as a surgeon.


What do you like about this character?: Kira'Njarir'Akhran will be enjoyable to me due to the set limitations of roleplay, I have to stick to a guideline due to the intensive lore patched onto the Tajara, I wont find my self wandering off and messing up their story/roleplaying style, CAT!!!!. NO SHOES!!!. the fact she was forced to become a surgeon due to the fact that I love the medical side of things but its sometimes a shame when there can be 4 shifts with out one surgery required.

Notes: I apologize for the short answers and bad grammar/poor structure, Its really late and I wanted to get this done, I am looking to make a full fledged surgeon and dont want to make another Human, 
I dont have alot of time on this server but its like the 3rd week of playing SS13, and I love it

The backstory and other parts of the application could use more work.

Tajara also follow the two names model. So, she could not have a single name. I recommend also checking the name guidelines and the notable character section for examples.

There is very little of the Tajara lore in the backstory. We don't know anything besides that the character that she is from the pra and studied to be a surgeon. How the Tajaran history and society affected her are not mentioned at all. Things like the two revolutions and the cold war should be present in the backstory.

The answer to the questions besides the backstory could be expanded a bit more. It is too brief.

Unsure what you mean by Orion. The reason  for them to leave to work on thestation are also poorly explained. The lore has a lot of reasons and motives for everyone to leave to Tau Ceti.

 

Taking in consideration these issues and that you have been around the community for less than a month, I will deny this application for now. Feel free to apply later.
