DahBunny Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 I can't map, so bare with me on this, but what do you guys think about this, a more clostrophobic and tight, yet efficant design that gets rid of the boxy interior and should in theory make cycle times faster and solve the endless problem of death because the airlock is taking too long to cycle in medical situations where no ones in the airlock to actually force it to move quickly, while making the whole shuttle more interesting to look at. Feedback and suggestions?
Captain Gecko Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 On the one hand, storage space may get reduced a tad, which... May be significant in some instances (your local anomalist helps you bring back 6 lost crates and tries to store them in the ship already full with minerals.) On the other end, if this ends up reducing the ourageous cycling times which actually did cost several lives, then by god PLEASE let us do that. At least I'd eagerly give it a try, just to see how it goes.
Confused rock Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 If this is just for cycling time, not saying it is, but if it were, then a very simple solution would just be to add more vents. there's no reason every tile in the airlock couldn't be a vent.(and maybe give it a window on the side/rear so you could break in for medical situations?)
Tristan63 Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 as a miner main i unconditionally support this, if the damn shuttle was 3x5 tiles i'd be happy if it cycled faster i timed it from start to finish and it took 8 whole minutes to cycle the airlock to the exterior, it is comical
