Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question.

Why do you wish to play this specific race:
I am generally planning on playing this race due to my severe interest in skrell. I have always been fascinated by their culture, their pragmatic yet psionic nature, complex emotions, and whatnot. I understand I've had issues in the past, but It's been my experience that moving past them is the best way to move forward, and grow as a person. I think skrell will allow me to branch out more, and become a more avid player of the game.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:
For one, they are psionic, and they are a rather pragmatic and logical species. But I think their psionic nature leaves a lot to be discussed about their relatively empathic nature. They're a fascinating species, one marred by overall misunderstanding in character, and out of character. I think what makes them so different is just their... overall alien nature, and the way they carry themselves amongst humans. Fascinating, if I do say so myself.

Character Name: Jahara Vutlit
Please provide a short backstory for this character
Vutlit was born on the skrellian homeworld, Qerrbalak, in the city of Ka'lo, to a clutch of four eggs. They are an Axiori skrell, and were always fascinated by the machinations of alien bodies. Given that they were born during the Supernova era, their parents treated them as a star child, With their Qrri'myaq taking particular interest in them. At the age of four, they entered primary school, earning various accolades for their studious nature. A naturally curious and interested skrell, they began to look into the field of xenomedicine even more. Particularly the interest of studying alien species in a clinical setting. But as time went on, they began focsing on other talents. Their Psionic talent. They honed it to the best of their ability, past what a normal skrell could, and were eventually recruited into the Qukala, despite having a partner who they were to soon perform the J'oxa with.

After their service in the military, the J'oxa went through, and Vutlit found their mate to be kind and caring, and also intensely psionic. It was a match made amongst the stars, for certain. They lived together for some time, before having children, a hatch of three, and as such, much time was spent taking care of their Starchildren. But the call of the stars was never gone, they eventually joined with Zeng-Hu, a skrell-aligned medical firm, and began their medical journey. It was a new frontier, one that they were ready to take on.
What do you like about this character?

I really like the lore of this character, I spent some time thinking about it, and I think it's going to mesh really well into the server,
How would you rate your role-playing ability?

It wasn't good, and I'm still improving, but I think I can move past my erroneous ways, and get into the groove of things.

• Due to previous Skrell arcs, we don't allow players to create Tupkala characters anymore. This was meant to be on the wiki but it was never done. This will be changed and announced soon.
• Skrell are hermaphrodites, so Vutlit would neither be male or female.

2. How does Vutlit feel about the Federation?
3. Where is Vutlit's family? Still in the Federation or have they moved abroad with Vutlit? Keep in mind that children are not allowed on the Horizon.
4. What job will Vutlit have on the Horizon exactly?
5. Is Vutlit a Listener or Reciever?
6. What religion/belief do they follow?
7. How does Vutlit feel about C'thur and Federation Diona?
8. How does Vutlit feel about Skrell who left the Federation as refugees? How do they feel about Skrell who were born outside the Federation?
9. How does Vutlit feel about Megacorporations? Specifically their activities in the Federation, but also in general.
10. Who did Vutlit vote for in the latest election? Do they still stand by their vote?

From what I can gather you recently returned to the server, and you were still fairly new beforehand. Vutlit feels very fondly of the federation, having served patriotically in their military.

Where is Vutlit's family? Still in the Federation or have they moved abroad with Vutlit? Keep in mind that children are not allowed on the Horizon.

Medical doctor, with Zeng.

They are more a receiver, but are more towards neutral.

What religion/belief do they follow?

They think that they are welcome addition to the Jargon Federation.

They have no particularly strong feelings. but they think people should do what is best for them.

How does Vutlit feel about Megacorporations? Specifically their activities in the Federation, but also in general.
They think megacorporations are a step forward, but easily corrupted.

Who did Vutlit vote for in the latest election? Do they still stand by their vote?
They chose not to vote.

This is way too high. It would be rare for a non-command character or a non-consular character to have a score above 8.

Why did they not vote?

Make it 7 then.

Also, they didn't vote mainly because they did not like those running. Despite them identifying the most with Symbiosism (which I like for ooc reasons), they chose not to vote because they still didn't like the candidate. I can't really elaborate too much, it's a stylistic choice on my part, because it fits their personality. They're a caring, yet apathetic when it comes to politics.

Your answers seem fine. Please edit the section of your backstory that mentions your character joining the Tupkala. As I said, we do not allow Tup characters.

Applications are not normally accepted until three days have passed. This allows you to collect feedback and for players to ask questions if they feel the need to.

After discussing your answers further we believe that some parts of the app should be reviewed. Not voting in the elections and being apathetic towards Skrell refugees seems to contrast with their overall patriotic attitude towards the Federation. Considering that you initially wanted to make the character a 9/10 primary while also making them apathetic politically, it feels like you are overlooking parts of the lore.
