Silvore
BYOND Key: Silvorz Character Names: James Miller, Alex White Species you are applying to play: Tajara What color do you plan on making your first alien character: EE8800 Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: I have read their general lore, and looked deeper into the sections more important to my character Why do you wish to play this specific race: I wanted to play as a Tajara for a good bit now, I always found their lore to be pretty interesting, and I like the whole feuding ideologies part of their history and current lore. After playing a lot of human characters on other servers I really wanted to try to branch out and play as other races to get a good full view of the experience. I saw a lot of Tajara players hang around and talk to each other in their language, and thought it would be nice to also be a part of those communities. A big part is the religion and culture of the Tajara, with the past of occultism and the like, which I think could be fun to mess around with on the less canon rounds, especially with all of the doors it opens for antag gimmicks. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The currently mounting conflicts going on at Adhomai leave a lot of room for tension and stress between both Tajara and other species interactions. Humans are very spread out in the lore, making it very easy for humans of different factions to dodge of ignore certain issues going on, but with the closeness of all Tajaran factions forces a bit more interaction and focus on the political and social aspect of them. The war will play a big part in both the backstory and the current beliefs of the characters, and will always be a looming part of character interaction. Tajara also have more physical displays of personality than humans do, due to the ears and tails. Of course the obvious thing is the fact that they tend to speak in third person. Character Name: Darharrs Sarrj Please provide a short backstory for this character: Darharrs was born in 2445, five years before the New Kingdom of Adhomai declared itself a nation. He was born the third child in a once noble family, now forced into lower positions. When the war to reclaim their land broke out Darharrs' father worked as a bookkeeper, making sure funds were sent to the places they were meant to go, and nothing was wasted. His family having nobles titles in the past, before the revolution, was granted their land and Baron title back. Due to his noble birth Darharrs was able to live most of his young life away from the fighting, and when the war fully ended he was able to live a noble life, full of proper education. Due to being the third child, and not expected to inherent any land, Darharrs was allowed more personal freedom than his siblings, allowing him to get into record keeping, but more importantly he took interest in the extranet. Growing up Darharrs spent more time looking at old books and going through historical data on the extranet than socializing and doing proper noble activities. Due to his sheltered upbring, Darharrs sees the conflicts between the other nations on Adhomai as distant and less important to him than his books. Seeing that he has a natural inclination to technology, his family decided that the best way to use his skill set is to try to send him to space and make more connections off planet. Seeing that being an onboard librarian would best suit his abilities he was sent off to work for Nanotrasen on an SCC ship. What do you like about this character?: I always liked the idea of a noble who is uninterested in noble politics due to being of a small family, and born later than others. I was thinking about minor nobles in history who did less political actions and focused more on scholarly pursuits, even if it didn't raise their family's standing in anyway. I feel like people always expect the noble to be snobbish and posh, so having someone more bookish could be a good change of pace. How would you rate your role-playing ability?: I would say I am pretty good at RP. People said that they liked my James Miller character before he sadly died due to me being a big dumb. I have been playing on SS13 and RPing for a good long bit now, and I would at least hope I got some skills from it. Notes: This is my first time ever asking for a whitelist on literally anything, so I hope I did good! Another thing is that it has been a hot minute since I last played on this server due to school issues, but I can't wait to come back with another character. Link to comment
Alberyk
Some questions: How does Darharrs see the PRA and the DPRA? What are his religious beliefs? Of all Roaylist schools of thought, which one does the character sympathizes the most with? Link to comment
Silvore
Thanks for responding 1. Darharrs sees the PRA and DPRA as opposed to the Kingdom, but due to his sheltered childhood and the fact that he does not participate in politics he sees them as distant threats that someone else has to deal with or think about in the future. If he met a supporter of the PRA or DPRA he would either be curios or snobbishly indifferent depending on how he is feeling at the time, probably offending them in the process. 2. Darharrs follows the Ma'ta'ke pantheon, with preference to Kraszar, due to his love of stories. Darharrs is not a fervent believe, but does pray and worship on his own time. 3. Darharrs was taught to believe in Conservative Royalism, and does believe in it's basic principles, but does think that Populist Royalism might be best in the long run, but all in all thinks that it isn't his job or place to worry too hard about the government. (Sorry if this isn't the best, a bit tired) Edited May 24, 2023 by Silvore Link to comment

I think you are misunderstanding the situation in Adhomai. The New Kingdom was in a long war with these factions, with certain points when they were nearly overrun. There is also the nuclear threat in the current cold war, if anything, the PRA and the DPRA are anything but distant threats. Your character needs to have some kind of opinion in these subjects, so consider that. Link to comment
Silvore
Thanks, no clue how I messed that one up, give me a bit to rewrite that whole thing Link to comment
Silvore
Okay, yeah, I mistyped what I meant, entirely my fault, he does see them as active threats to the Kingdom, but ones that he personally does not have to deal with if anything goes down. He knows that they are dangerous, and that people should worry, but he believes that the peasantry would be far more effected by any war that goes on. (This is obviously incorrect, but I am trying to go for a naive young noble type of character) My biggest mistake was how he would react to PRA and DPRA supporters, I blame lack of sleep on that misjudgment. He would more than likely have no care for them, but knows that since they are in neutral space and work in the same company that some form of acceptance must be made. Sorry if this still isn't good, it has been forever since I did any character writing Link to comment
