Ship time Real Time: 10:50PM PST Location of Incident: Bar, Deck 2 Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [X] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [X] - Other: Over reach of job title and responsibilities into other's duty. Overview of the Incident: I came aboard the Horizon, off-duty. Everything seemed calm, no one was screaming or alerting to any case. So I went about my day and said 'Ciao, Amici'. 'Hello Friends'. Started my walk to the bar, not five steps before the Warden is screaming in my ear about using 'basic'. I'm just confused as to why saying hello- in any differing tongue, which happens often. Builds relationships, shares cultures the like. No explanation, nothing. So I start asking why, whats wrong? That sort of thing. Before I know it, Warden says it is NOT blue alert over the radio. (More so if there was an active threat or if it was a drill or something- Capo should have said so). So some light banter begins because it's all quite silly. After I know for a fact, it is blue. I stop. This is before it IMMEDIATELY flips to Yellow Alert due to those grem bug things. So I go back to it. It's not causing an issues and almost everyone knows what is going on. I'm just using my native tongue to say friend because it rolls better- It's nicer for me, and shows some cultural diversity. After about ten minutes, writing his own report up. Warden walks up to arrest me HIMSELF when there were PLENTLY of officers who could do it. Stepping out of his authority and role because he personally had a grudge against me for it? At least what I was told by security personnel by what was discussed over security comms. I did ask the Captain to step in, because this seemed, honestly, childish. She did not. We got to the brig, and the Warden instantly was going to fine- just swipe credits from my account without a second thought. Miners are paid good here- but eating is still one of my priorities, Si? So, I had figured I would mention we're allowed a choice. The Warden then 'allowed me' to sit in the brig. I just want this cleared from my record and the proper re-training to be handled out as crew members need it. Grazie Submitted Evidence: Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: (Name, Job Title) Yes, Captain Maribelle Leah-Magnum Actions taken: I had mentioned to the Warden this was an honestly foolish thing to do. As if there was some sort of threat- I still assume a drill, or perhaps a malfunction of cameras/monitor sensors and such, Why would s/he/they be so dead set on arresting me for saying hello. To the Warden, that is. They said it was the rules, I asked the Captain if she would step in, she said there was something too important for her to look into. Additional Notes: None so far!
