Appealing Personnel: Casey Wildkins
Specific Incident:

Action taken as a result: Demotion from Operations Manager to Hangar Technician

Action contested: Action #421: Casey Wildkins - Demotion:

"During the investigation of case 24650724, Casey Wildkins was found to have compromised the command channel, failed to manage misbehaving department staff, encouraged harassing behavior, and lied to Human Resources during an interview. Dur to this, Casey Wildkins will be demoted from command."

Reasoning for contest:

It's been a whole seven, nearly eight months from the Demotion now. I wholly admit to to having mishandled an incident caused by one of the Technicians, Bloodclaw in that case, having an axe on themselves, and shrugged that off. Though, there was no direct endangerment coming from them. I do also admit, having compromised the command channel to Technician Nalika, though, I did not encourage the resulting behaviour. Lessons have been learned over the eight months, and the entirety of my record is clean, be it SCCIA or Security Record, except for this incident. I feel like the demotion was totally reasonable in the case, but not permanently. I learned to better handle incidents when they appear, and think a little bit of a tighter grip is needed on the department sometimes, though, I feel like I am more than ready to get back into my duties as Operations Manager, and I hope you feel that way too.

Additional notes:

I wish to note that I think there was massive bias involved, and also wish to note that there was no lying involved from my side.
