tomatik Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Reporting Personnel: Kroner Blackburn Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Xenobiologist Game ID: cuD-aisg Personnel Involved: Sasha Kaiser (Research Director), Offender Kroner Blackburn (Xenobiologist), Victim Suvek Tokash (Head of Security), Witness Secondary Witnesses: Seamus Whelan (Security Cadet), Was present during the arrest, made a statement. Yoshi Haruno (Warden), Was present during processing, made a statement. Time of Incident: Real Time: 2024-07-10 02:43:40 Location of Incident: Xenobiology Lab Nature of Incident: [x] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [x] - Neglect of Duty [x] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [x] - Misconduct Overview of the Incident: The events, from my perspective are as follows: an hour into the shift, working on my current assignment, Director Kaiser wakes up, immediatly starts accusing me of lacking diligence with questions like "are you actually going to work today?" and "How hard is it to do your job?", While i was working. After a short back-and-fourth in which he got increasingly more agressive, he was informed that i was, in fact, doing my job. He then proceeded to call me, quote, "Fucking dense" and a "deadweight", it's unprofessional and unbefitting of anyone in Command. Afterwards, Jiaxing Volvalaad, Archeologist woke up, and after hearing us talk, decided to step in to correct the situation somewhat, which did raise good points on shortcomings both me and Kaiser had. But clearing things out, or keepin the department productive for that matter, wasn't something that Kaiser wanted, and as such, he had called the entire security team to unlawfully demote and arrest me for i111, "disobeying orders" which i never recieved, but on that later. I was messaged by the security and began securing the slimes in containment to prevent future breaches, during this time, Kaiser barged in with three officers waiting after open doors, right in the Foyer, no protective equipment, no water, nothing, potentially exposing them and himself to the slimes, i was in the middle of securing them, one of the pens was open as he barged in. He then unceremoniously took the radio and the ID, afterwards returning it to security. In processing it was found out that the unspoken order i was demoted for would be "failed to start a project", despite him being informed of two projects being performed at the time, after an incredibly short investigation, the charges were dropped, the arrest was scrubbed from the system, it was deemed an abuse of power and a gross attempt to use security forces to deal with internal matters. This revelation was to surprise of no-one but me, as Security Chief said, he knew of Kaiser and his reputation, after releasing me with no charges, he told me to take it up with central, as i am doing right now. It would seem that keeping the department running is not a priority for Kaiser, as he is more set on going after and verbally degrading his subjects, than actually fulfilling his duties. Submitted Evidence: Spoiler [22:26] Recording started. [00:03] Kroner Blackburn says, "Doctor Kroner Blackburn, Suspended. Yoshi Haruno, Warden, Giving the statement." [01:05] Yoshi Haruno asks, "Doctor Blackburn, would you like to ask specific questions or start with a rough run-down of events from our perspective?" [01:19] Kroner Blackburn says, "A perspective would be good for a start, i believe." [01:48] Yoshi Haruno says, "Very well. The situation reached our attention when interpersonal difficulties were noted this shift between doctor Blackburn and doctor Kaiser." [02:31] Yoshi Haruno says, "This was in the form of a PDA message to myself from doctor Blackburn - after a while, the official order from the Commander came to issue an arrest warrant under the charge of i111 - Failure to Execute an Order." [03:35] Yoshi Haruno says, "After doctor Blackburn was given time to complete containment of their xenobiological specimens, officers Isaev and Whelan - Cadet training on the job - presented the warrant and escorted doctor Blackburn to the brig." [04:49] Yoshi Haruno says, "Doctor Kaiser, after further inquiry, stated in the brig that the order doctor Blackburn failed to realize was "to start a project". Doctor Kaiser left and after the work-in-progress incident summary was read to doctor Blackburn, the report was protested on the grounds of false claims." [05:39] Yoshi Haruno says, "After some time, it became clear doctor Blackburn claimed to not know what project they were even asked to start, much less given the order in a way that constitutes an actual operational command by their head of staff." [06:34] Yoshi Haruno says, "Given the circumstances, the lack of witnesses making it a word-against-word and the general feeling that security was being used to facilitate interpersonal quarrels, all charges were summarily dropped and the warrant retroactively revoked." [06:58] Yoshi Haruno says, "Doctor Blackburn was released from holding custody and has now requested this statement to illustrate the chain of events." [07:38] Kroner Blackburn asks, "Do you have any previous experience with Director Kaiser?" [07:44] Yoshi Haruno says, "I do not." [08:07] Yoshi Haruno says, "Giving the statement in the third deck lounge, Commander." [08:16] Kroner Blackburn asks, "Previously you have said that it looked like an attempt to resolve internal conflict through security, is that correct?" [09:49] (Unrecognized sound) [09:59] Yoshi Haruno says, "It appeared to be an attempt to leverage security's power and authority to facilitate something which could be solved simpler via shift scheduling or internal conflict resolution. The nature of the charge itself, after doctor Blackburns explanation, called into question why security was needed. Of note is that the time elapsed since arrival in the brig already constituted the minimum time." [10:36] Yoshi Haruno says, "Nonetheless, due to repeat offence over multiple shift, doctor Kaiser elected under acting Captainship to issue a suspension onto doctor Blackburn." [10:57] Kroner Blackburn asks, "Which was, in turn, done while the Current Security Chief was onboard?" [12:28] Yoshi Haruno says, "Commander Suvek Tokash was active at the time, if memory serves right. Commander Tokash has, after a confirmation during the stay in the brig, confirmed independently of doctor Kaiser that the decision to demote was made by doctor Kaiser." [12:58] Yoshi Haruno says, "Confirmation for the fact that by due protocol, demotion has to be issued by the XO or CO." [13:17] Kroner Blackburn asks, "So it was done improperly, then?" [13:59] Yoshi Haruno says, "I cannot say. The situation is muddy at best. The charges for holding in the brig were dropped, the demotion was already completed by the time of arrival, independently of security or the conviction." [14:15] Yoshi Haruno says, "Due process at such a level is not something encountered every day." [14:59] Kroner Blackburn asks, "In your opinion, was this action warranted?" [16:29] Yoshi Haruno says, "Speaking freely and independently of my position or department, it was a waste of time to have security pursue it. This issue stems from interpersonal conflict and requires a mediation between the individuals, not an arrest and conviction." [17:02] Kroner Blackburn says, "Well... I believe that may as well be a conclusion, thank you for your time, unless you have something else to add, i shall be stopping the recording." [17:03] Yoshi Haruno asks, "Is the drone inside?" [17:17] Yoshi Haruno says, "I am urgently needed elsewhere." [17:22] Kroner Blackburn says, "Of course." [17:22] Recording stopped. Spoiler [50:49] Recording started. [00:11] Seamus Whelan asks, "Need me to state who I am for the record?" [00:21] Kroner Blackburn says, "Okay, before we start, Kroner Blackburn, Suspended, Seamus Whelan, Security cadet." [00:27] Seamus Whelan says, "Aye." [00:32] Kroner Blackburn says, "I have a few questions, and then we might as well go over the events." [01:07] Kroner Blackburn asks, "When entering active xenobiological lab, including the containment pens, did you see Research Director Kaiser putting on Personal Protective Equipment?" [01:36] Seamus Whelan asks, "I can't say I was keeping an eye on what he was doing once he entered the, what I'm assuming is an airlock between where we where and your lab?" [01:49] Kroner Blackburn says, "Yes, that would be the airlock between the foyer and the lab." [01:57] Kroner Blackburn says, "Which he crossed." [02:43] Seamus Whelan says, "Sure, I saw him walk in there after he asked us to standby outside in the Foyer. Although I was more focused on following the lead of the more senior officers and the small monitoring console that was there." [02:59] Kroner Blackburn asks, "Of course, were you informed as to why you were there in the first place?" [03:52] Seamus Whelan says, "Yeah, if memory serves, we were asked to report to Research Director Kaiser in reference to, well, you allegedly failing to execute an order and for your detainment under the relevant 100-code." [04:10] Recording stopped. [04:10] Recording started. [04:13] Seamus Whelan says, "All good." [04:39] Kroner Blackburn asks, "I believe it recorded? Still, repeat what you said, if you could?" [04:44] Seamus Whelan says, "If I recall correctly, we were also advised by another member of security that you were finishing up your duties and research prior to surrendering,." [04:53] Seamus Whelan says, "Sure, I said "Yeah, if memory serves, we were asked to report to Research Director Kaiser in reference to, well, you allegedly failing to execute an order and for your detainment under the relevant 100-code.""" [05:01] Kroner Blackburn says, "I have informed them i'd need to wrap up, correct." [05:06] Kroner Blackburn says, "Oh well, i believe that's as much as we're getting." [05:07] Recording stopped. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [x] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: Suvek Tokash was informed of the situation and was present during the processing. Actions taken: None Additional Notes: This is not the first time Kaiser acted this way, and he is well known across the entire ship for being rude and offensive, he has called me a "moron", an "idiot" and "a fucking imbecille" over the comms before, but it didn't seem like something to report at the time.
