Guest Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I come out of my self-imposed solitude/exile just to say something. It's kinda late, though, as the main wave has already passed. Lot of you have been just making it worse with the goodbye threads. It's not really helping the 'server is ded' notion stop, as it has to before decent dialog can be made on how to fix the issues. Best way to dig its grave is to say you're leaving in a dramatic fashion, especially if you do it without saying why. This kinda destroys the point of it being a protest, as no one knows what you're protesting about. In case you want to know if people care if you leave, it's better to just ask them without trying to prompt shallow and false simpathy from the nice folks here on the forums. No offense. All those 'I'm leaving' posts aren't really doing much other than cause other people to leave as well. So, please, if you're going to leave, do so quietly, as you're probably going to come back soon. Guest Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 "Server is dead." "Server is dead to me." Also compare with: "This person is dead." "This person is dead to me." In terms of relativity. Does it change the server as a whole if you say it's dead? Or does it keep on chugging? Quote
Tainavaa Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I never understood goodbye threads. It just all seems to be a ploy for attention. So I do my best not to respond to them. Quote
Rusty Shackleford Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Same thing with "Everyone Calm Down" threads. They're equally annoying, and equally useless. Quote
Nik Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Every time I see one, It makes me want to post this and nothing else: I find that they are just this strange way to make everyone feel bad about how you've killed the game for them or something, so I don't even click them anymore. Hilariously, I may have been one of the first to do this, to announce my needing to stop due to life issues and deciding to leave a note, in case anyone wondered why chemistry wasn't exploding anymore. So yeah, Hipster Nik over here. Quote

Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 TBH the Aurora General boards has become an airport terminal. There's a bunch of people complaining about the place and everyone is saying bye. Quote
Guest Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 That is an oddly fitting analogy, given the situation. And highly amusing to picture. Quote
Guest Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 That's the thing, everyone's deemed it too pointless to even bother with. Adds unnecessary gameplay and spreads out airport sec too much :^) Quote

Tainavaa Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 So the admins are basically TSA, is what you're saying. Quote
Rusty Shackleford Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 The difference being that the admins don't touch you in places that you have to show a psychotherapist later on using a doll- oh wait Quote
