Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Green Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question (quantity != quality) Why do you wish to play this specific race: Because it's my favorite. I enjoy the whole concept of Space Lizard Men and I like to play it out in space station. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Aside from being Space Lizard Men, I also like to play uplifted savages AND carnivores, so it seems to hit three spots at once. Also, it's fun to have a normally raucous and violent character shouted down by a superior and actually, like, be affected by it instead of shrugging it off or going with the whole "FUCK YOU, DAD" mentality. Character Name: Sowei Seifa Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Years ago, on Moghes, there was a minor clan called Seifa. They were a minor clan with only slightly more than two dozen members. Their clan's head took umbrage at perceived weakness in their local leader (something about bandit raids or some such), and decided to rebel. It didn't last long, and without the assistance he felt assured in getting from their neighbors, they were quickly crushed by the superior numbers and armaments of the established local government. The remnants of the clan then fled to the far north, where each took contracts and fled into space. Not long afterward, one of the young females of the clan, Sowei, was assigned to work as a bartender on a space station. She eventually got tired of the lounge lizard jokes, and requested a transfer to engineering, where she received on-the-job training, and eventually qualified as a maintenance technician. Being a bruiser (despite being only five foot eight), security was also interested in her, and she occasionally bounced back and forth from low-level security posts to mid-level engineering. Oh yes and I forgot to mention her illegitimate son. He was born shortly after the exodus from her former homelands, father unknown. What do you like about this character? I enjoy the opportunity to be raucous and loud and somewhat violent, normally I won't do that in space station. I also enjoy playing a character who will choose to stand and defend themself rather than run away. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I'm okay, I guess. I can very much endorse that Gale is an excellent role-player (far more than she gives herself credit for) and a fantastic lizard player. I like your application, and would like to make suggestions/ask questions to help understand your playstyle/character a bit more. 1) Nanotrasen only really has shuttle services in Scalamar, the capital of the Izweski Hegemony (or Moghes Hegemony in the character creation drop down menu since we haven't changed that yet), so if you want "north" to remain the direction they flee, they'd go by boat across the Moghresian Sea. http://imgur.com/gUadTD8 2) What religion do you think your Unathi would follow?
