Short Description: This is lore intended to be used to flesh out Dominia's extreme intolerance of synthetic lifeforms and expand on pre-Empire Moroz by giving more detail to the history of the planet's original colony sites. It explains why Dominians have such a vicious hatred toward synthetics through the story of early interaction between Moroz settlers and a vault of ancient alien synthetics that they accidentally reactivated.

How will this be reflected on-station?: Dominian characters will now have a much easier time rationalizing their culture and religion's anti-IPC rhetoric due to events in their country's past they can point to as an example and justification.

Does this addition do anything not achieved by what already exists?: Technically speaking there is already an explanation for the fifth edict in lore, however I find it very weak and not exactly enough to warrant the level of hatred towards synthetics that (for better and worse) is inherent to Dominians. This more detailed lore adds some substance to it while also fleshing out Dominia's earliest history in a way that should hopefully feel natural.

Do you understand that the project may change over time in ways you may not foresee once it is handed over to the Lore Team?: Yes and I expect it.

Hi, just to be entirely clear I did contribute to this lore app with feedback + writing VAULT (Devil May Doom IPC Murder Game) so obviously I'm bias but I do really like the concept behind this lore.

One, from the perspective of Dominia. I think they would really benefit from having a better narrative reason for their hatred of synthetics. I really only see this as building upon what Dominia already has in this respect in a very cool way.

Two, I think it's cool for Synthetic lore too. Ancient robots both good and bad are a feature of the lore now especially after the Konyang Arc and Domadice awakening and I think adding more to this general theme is super cool and something I'd like as a Synthetic player too.

 

Anyway, I'm bias. I want to have the Dominian gamer lore added. But the whole thing is good too, thanks for reading.
