Have you read the lore pages for the species you wish to be whitelisted for?:  Yes

Why do you wish to play this species?: I have always been curious about Dionae. Their ability to blend the culture of aliens with their own strange physiology mixed with the raw potential that the species has in terms of roleplay is super interesting. Your cyclops could be ten days old or an ancient. The potential to have gathered so much knowledge is rivaled only by the space elves skrell. Also, I'm looking to mix stuff up and try something new, to be honest.

What makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a human?: They are literally five to nine slugs in a trenchcoat. They have specifics mind types that reflect their history and can drastically alter how they play. They are the single most alien species out of all of our playable selection. They can split their nymphs from their gestalt and utilize it as an individual, while still existing as their gestalt. They run on light and radiation. The list goes on - they are so incredibly inhuman.

Character Name: Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose

Write a backstory for your character. This may include their origin, education, personality and how they arrived to the SCCV Horizon. 

Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose is a gestalt that was carefully cultivated in Viridis to serve one grand purpose: understanding. Every nymph that was bred to serve as a part of the gestalt was instilled with the aim to gain a greater knowledge of the universe and learn how to apply it to Viridis to better serve the Hegemony. Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose, while a scholarly song mindtype, has a strict, partially self-imposed rule against gaining understanding through genetic acquisition outside of that which their lord instructs them to take. In an effort to gain worldly experience, it agreed to a tenure at a Hephaestus post aboard a vessel known as the SCCV Horizon - a vessel that, not too long ago, had a stint in Hegemony space.

Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose is a noble that is seeking knowledge. They are meant to be an advisor into the future - and the future holds one thing for sure: Phoron is going to be important. They took a job as a researcher aboard the vessel in order to learn from the work of others as well as explore phoron for themself. While it still may be a naive younger gestalt, they know one thing: they will not fail their lord, nor the Hegemony. They will prevail and gain a total understanding of phoron, and prove once and for all that dionae are an important part of the Hegemony.

How has the recent events of the Orion Spur impacted your character? Events such as the Phoron Scarcity, the Solarian Collapse or even the Invasions of Biesel for interstellar-wide affairs, while region-specific events such as the Peacekeeper Mandate, The Titan Rises or even Cold Dawn may impact your character.

The scarcity is the main drive for Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose's travel abroad. In an effort to understand how to better service the Hegemony, Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose took a position aboard the SCCV Horizon, a vessel known for its understanding of and quest for phoron. If Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose is able to work with people who are not only recovering and mining phoron but researching it, they would be able to take a font of knowledge back to Viridis and more effectively assist the Hegemony in the future.

How does your character view the megacorporation they work for?

Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose is generally a fan of Hephaestus. Due to the links between Hephaestus and the Hegemony as well as the service of the Lords Verdant to the Hegemony, Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose is transitively in favor of Hephaestus. Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose is a younger, more naive gestalt that is eager to prove themself and may not quite understand what working for Hephaestus means, and that is something that they are going to need to explore before they return home.

How did your character find out that there were Dionae outside of Moghes? Did they have any first interactions with one prior to the Horizon?

Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose was instructed that they may run into other non-Moghesian dionae, but was told that they should never forget the ideals instilled in them during their growth. In an effort to maintain the ideas of Viridis, the amount of propaganda instilled in them has remained high - don't let other nymphs into your gestalt, don't share your biomass (you are noble, you are special, etc). This is something that I am interested in exploring as well in speaking to other dionae.

As a (low) noble gestalt, Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose has an understanding of the Eternal through the syncretism with Sk'akh. The balance between the three heads being equal in their ideals to the balance and harmony that the Eternal represents. Maintaining peace and order through living in harmony with Sk'akh's order means to ultimately gain acceptance from the Beastlands and live in peace forever.
Knowledge in the Pursuit of Greater Purpose does not yet have an undertanding of the Eternal outside of their limited view given to them through teachings they have gained while living in the Viridis. This is something they will have to learn from the understanding of other gestalts.
