Hesphos Posted Friday at 18:49 Posted Friday at 18:49 (edited) BYOND Key: Hesphos Staff BYOND Key: SampleTex Game ID: b7y-cJR3 Reason for complaint: Head of Staff Whitelist Reinstatement Evidence/logs/etc: Original archived staff complaint against SampleTex Follow-up staff complaint against MattAtlas and ShesTrying : Additional remarks: This staff action is from 6 years ago. I have been led to believe, today, that short temporary bans no longer automatically remove whitelists with new rules that have been created between 2020 and 2026. I would like to retroactively have my whitelist removal appealed and my Head of Staff whitelist reinstated. As the new rules allegedly no longer just brutally and heavy handily nuke everything over tiny infractions. On the logic that you can't keep someone in jail on a drug offense after said drug is legalized. I would also, for the record, want to say that I still do not agree with the whitelist removal or the 3 day ban (Changed to 24 hours) for something so incredibly minor. I also believe that SampleTex might have been biased against me because of Mattatlas's unprofessional note that was created a day prior. Verbatim ''Told to stop being shit in tickets'' No further information, no nuance, nothing. Edited Friday at 18:51 by Hesphos
Fyni Posted Friday at 19:18 Posted Friday at 19:18 We discussed this in Discord and I would like to re-add what I did there because you seem to have missed it - Head of Staff WL are stripped based on temp bans. My earlier comment on WLs assumed you were speaking about species ones.
Hesphos Posted Friday at 19:21 Author Posted Friday at 19:21 I see, there was a misunderstanding on my part then, sorry. I would like to have the 24 hour ban overturned completely after a re-review of the available evidence and have the whitelist re-activated. No ban, no problem.
Melariara Posted Friday at 22:27 Posted Friday at 22:27 Head of Staff whitelists are stripped automatically by the system upon receiving any sort of ban. If you wish to be head of staff again, you must reapply. Also, we are not handling a complaint six years after the actions have happened.
Hesphos Posted Friday at 22:43 Author Posted Friday at 22:43 Can I ask why the system does this? Why is it setup like this? I find it hard to believe that the majority of staff and the user base would find that fair. Also, I wasn't aware that there was a time limit on appealing bans. Is that an unspoken rule or something?

Because if you have been temporarily banned, you must have been spoken to a lot about something and failed to heed the warnings of staff members at the time. 3 minutes ago, Hesphos said: Also, I wasn't aware that there was a time limit on appealing bans Its common sense, honestly. No one from that era is around, and we're not going to trudge through the many, many, many years of logs to attempt to find which one is yours. If you wish to be a head of staff, you must reapply. Locking and archiving.
